One lady showed up 40min late. They were not happy that they could no longer get the services they wanted. Really? Come on people, just apologize and come at the later time they offered or rebook your appointment. Also, let's see, common sense, maybe call to ask if it's ok to come late? This is the worst Nail solan in Palm Desert! I showed up this morning at 9am because online this is the hours of operation. The lady in the spa tells me to come back in 30 minutes because she had no one to do nails. I ended up coming back 40 minutes later. Same lady, so rude! Gave me a dirty look and started speaking her language to another tech. The. He says, sorry we can't take you because you didn't have an appointment. I said I left and came back back because she said she did and then the lady chimed in and starts yelling and saying you said you didn't wanna come back and now we can't take you and was very angry and very loud and I asked her why she was so upset? And she continue to yell at me. I will never go to this nail spa ever again! I've been coming to this nail spa for the last two years never again! I went in for a pedicure today and I had a gentleman do my nails and I think it's one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. I made the comment that it was a fast pedicure and he said you've been here 20 to 25 minutes, what do you want for the money? Then he wanted to be pay and I said let me look at my toes. It was rushed and sloppy, nails were not filed so they were slanted. Didn't clean the dirt and none of the calluses were removed or asked if they could be removed. When you go for a pedicure, do you want your feet to feel amazing? My feet feel the same way now that they did when I went in. Harsh language was used and was I was told I hurt his feelings So I am sorry, but I will probably never go back here . read more

Came in for acrylics, first of all the lady was extremely rude. I had to ask her multiple times to fix the shape. I had asked for almond and she was making them pointy. When I was trying to ask her to fix it she started giving me attitude and telling me she can't do it. I do a lot of acrylics and these are by far the worst nails I have gotten. There is polish on the side the shape is completely off and on top of it they hurt. I am shocked by how rude my nail tech was and how bad my nails are $60 for this!! Never returning again read more

I'm blown away by the caliber of Pearl and Paul. Just super careful, detailed, perfectionists I'd say. I've never come out of a nail treatment feeling completely content. Usually I'll see a flaw but let it slide. Not the case here. Definitely worth returning and supporting this business. I've had manicures done in many different counties in California and even abroad. I can say Pearl and Paul especially are one of the most detail oriented I've encountered. I came in as the last customer on Halloween. I know. I'm that girl and I apologized and checked if they're sure they could take me. I was prepared to get a rush job but I didn't have much other free time but tonight. They were efficient and had me done in less than an hour. Honestly I'm very happy with their friendly service. Hard working and dedicated to the craft. I can show him a picture of what I want and it's done. His family is so sweet too! I think it should be called unhappiness nails. What a sour amosphere. The palce seems dirty,decor outdated,floor dusty, no music, they have a huge tv, but not on,and all the workers seemed so grumpy for the most part. The other customers also noticed the feeling, one lady tried despartly to talk and lighten the mood, however she also seemed to be recieving the roughest looking mainicure ever. she even asked the nail tech if maybe she was tired or having a bad day, then stated "you sure are really ripping into my nails today aren't you" no reply. My mani and pedi were ok, I've done better at home myself. And at the door the price says $12 mai, $20 pedi, ok $32 right, no $37, $5 extra becuase they added some extra lotion to my heels, that I wasn't told about until after . Whatever, I won't go back, there are just too many nail places in the valley to bother with this one. read more

The nail technician who started to do my pedicure used unsealed tools on my toenails. Only when I objected did she get me a (hopefully) clean set that was in a sealed envelope. Then she started to use a file that had definitely been previously used. Strike two and I was out of there. Maybe it was just a case of a technician who needs better training but I'll NEVER go back. read more

I was able to get right in for a pedicure. Paul was very friendly and I thought did a great job with my french manicure. However the polish started chipping off within a couple days. When I went back to show the nails that had chipped another nail technician redid my nails. She was very rude to me. She said regular polish only lasts a day or two and I needed to get gel nails if I wanted the pedicure to last. I've been getting regular polish pedicures for years. If done correctly they can last a month. A day after she fixed my nails they were chipped again. It was a total waste of money. I will not go back and I cannot recommend the salon. read more

Walked in yesterday for mani/pedi treat. Empty apart from 1 other person and was asked "do you have an appointment?" 9 empty chairs and not happy to get a customer? Pedi was fine. Mr. Grumpy did the non-mani. Walked over I said Hi, he said nothing, cut my nails filed and 10 seconds of cuticle cream. No soak! Don't usually write yelp reviews because i work in the service industry but i have to say i had the worst manicure and pedicure I've had in a while. Left completely unsatisfied and felt i shouldn't of had to pay as much as i did for the service i got. My nails are all different shapes, didn't file them didn't do enough coats so you can see each nail looks different and my toes are not filed evenly they didn't use the pumas stone at all basically i had to ask her to please use it.
