One of my favorite pizza spots in Central NJ. Have been here a few times and posting my consolidated review At any Pizzeria we have to try their classic Margherita pizza which was delicious . Tried some of their other unique flavors like Rafella which is a white pizza with a kick from the hot pepperocino paste making you want more with every bite . Tartufo had the subtle truffle aroma and flavor amidst the mushroom making it earthy and aromatic while the Cacio Pepe pizza was mediocre , Beet salad and Pear Gorgonzola salad options are a must try . For dessert don't miss the Tiramisu and the Flourless chocolate cake . The staff are extremely friendly and quick to take your order and bring the food out . The dining area is bright and spacious and they have parking in the back . It's a perfect spot to spend a relaxed afternoon . read more

We went here for lunch today. I can confidently say that anyone who rates this highly has not had batter brick oven style pizza so they don't know what they're missing. Nomad pizza is much better than this place. The pizzas were edible, but lacked good ingredients and they just weren't too good. An artisan pizza should used fresh ground black pepper not pre ground on the calico e Pepe... Also for some reason the tap water tastes like dirt. So overall save some money and try elsewhere... read more

Great place with absolutely outstanding pizza! We have been here in the past when we lived in the Princeton area but had not been back for a bit. We tried the Palm pie. A nice thin crust with thin slivers of minimally breaded eggplant. Just the right amount of sauce and fresh mozzarella. Friendly staff. The only joy negative was that a table near us was extremely noisy. Since we were never here before, we did not know if the room was always noisy or because of this group sitting near us. We were here for the pizza and it is well worth going here. read more

We love Tino's and have been coming for years. The new location is much larger and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is always so kind and helpful. We were really disappointed on our most recent visit. They must have changed the dough recipe. It was bland and generic. Such a shame because everything else is so delicious. Skip the pizza and get literally anything else. Salads, zucchini flowers and chicken bites are always our favorites. read more

Surprisingly, there was a lot of seating for such a small place. Inside was nice. There were photos of people smiling which seemed to be in Italy. Service was good. But, it took a bit awhile before our server got our orders and she didn't top off our water when it got low. But, otherwise, she was friendly. They seated us promptly. We were a party of 9. The pizzas we had were very good. With the "No Choice" pizza, however, had an agave sauce that threw some of us off. I liked it, but I understood why some people wouldn't. They weren't coal fired pizzas. But, they were still very delicious. The place is worth revisiting. read more

5 years later I'm back with another review. This time, Tino's has become such a huge name now. Multiple locations across New Jersey. It's so huge that they've outgrown their old location and moved across the street. There's some seating outdoors which will overlook the busy Route 27. However, there's way more seating inside and what looks like 2 floors of tables. I really like the fireplace in the middle of the dining room too. Love that feature inside the restaurant which is missing in the more modern places. What's new now is that the kitchen is a lot bigger than before (which was a problem with the great food + high demand), but there's also the option for people to buy pizza by the slice. Didn't even realize that was an option. Also, the pizza can now be ordered in 2 sizes: small/regular and large. Note that the small/regular pies, I believe, are more akin to the pizzas you were used to at the old location. The large pies are definitely large (couldn't fit those at the old location), but the taste still remains the best. Parking is a bit limited in the new location, but worth noting that you can still park at the old location as they're keeping that for a new coffee shop coming soon....... read more

What a treat! This place is a must try for families or friends catching up over some delicious plates! The seating area is well decorated, home-y with a beautiful fireplace in the center, and well organized on the outdoor patio. Our server was well knowledged with great recs as it was our first time and the entire staff took care of us so well. Had the Pear Salad, Gnocchi bites, Polenta fries to start. For entrees we chose the Puglia with peppers and Raffaella -- both absolutely delicious. Personally, I think the raffaella was a little tooo salty (heavy on the shaved parm) but the sweetness of the tomato sauce balanced out the meal. We also tried the eggplant parm sandwich but would probably swap this for the Parm pizza instead. The pasta salad on the side was YUMMY and I would loveeee a heavier portion on the menu to split with for the table. Can't wait to come back and try some diff items next time! read more

I genuinely wanted to like this place, but Tino's Artisan Pizza was a mess from start to finish. First off, the wait time was ridiculous for a place that wasn't even busy. We stood around awkwardly for way too long before anyone acknowledged us, and when they finally did, it felt like we were inconveniencing them by existing. Zero sense of urgency, zero customer service. The pizza itself? Hugely disappointing. For something branded as "artisan," I expected something special. Instead, the crust was burnt on the bottom and somehow still doughy inside, the sauce was overly sweet, and the toppings were skimpy at best. It honestly tasted like a frozen pizza trying to cosplay as fancy. Definitely not worth the price they're charging. What really sealed the deal was the owner, Tino. Instead of stepping in to improve the experience, he came off as a cocky prick who clearly thinks his food is untouchable. There was this smug, dismissive attitude -- like customers should feel lucky just to be there. Any feedback or questions were met with condescension rather than professionalism. If that's the tone being set from the top, it explains a lot about how the place is run. The whole atmosphere had this weird pretentious vibe, like if you don't "get it," that's somehow your fault. Sorry, but if you're charging premium prices, the least you can do is serve food that's consistently good and treat people with basic respect. By the time we left, we all agreed the same thing -- we should've gone literally anywhere else. There are way better pizza spots that cost less, taste better, and don't make you feel unwelcome. Hard pass. Won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

Apparently, they pre-make all their pizzas, so when I tried to order one of their pizzas with a different topping, they explained that they couldn't do it because they are all premade. So, I ordered a plain cheese pizza with the two toppings I wanted. When it arrived, it was the original pizza I tried to order with the wrong toppings... the one I didn't want. I called and they said that's how it was in the computer and there wasn't anything they could do about it. NO help at all. I will find a better pizza place next time. read more

Tino's is easy to miss along Rt 27, especially in the dark of 4 PM in November. The parking lot is even harder to spot, but is tucked away with plenty of spots in the back. To enter, just find the bank and enter through there! As soon as we entered Tino's the warmth of both the much needed heaters and the staff hit us right away. It was very welcoming and made us excited to try their pizza! I've been meaning to bring my boyfriend here because he's a pizza fanatic. I'm happy to say that this shop lived up to the hype. Personally, I need my pizza to have a little oomph, and Tino's delivered on that front. I had the Raffaella which was flavorful and had a kick. The mozzarella on top was a good bonus and balanced with the chili paste! The bruschetta was also delicious and very refreshing. We ended with hand made gelato that was the same flavor as cannoli filling. The creaminess of the gelato went well with the cannoli chocolate chips. Perfect end to our dinner! read more

I ordered a gluten free pie with chicken, vegan cheese, and pesto. Their gluten free crust is great, but I was a little taken aback by the look of the pesto hahaha. Everything tasted good, but parts of the pesto did turn a weird black color after a night in the fridge which I was concerned about. We've been coming to this pizzeria for many years, back when it was called Osteria Procaccini, and it used to be one of our go-to spots for great pizza. Now called Tino's, it sadly fell short on our most recent visit. Something feels different -- maybe a change in ownership or kitchen staff -- because the flavors and balance we loved just weren't there. We ordered the Antonia. The dough had no real flavor, which was surprising because in the past it was light, chewy, and full of character. The toppings -- olives, prosciutto, and artichokes -- were all extremely salty, to the point of overpowering everything else. It made the pizza heavy instead of the flavorful, well-balanced experience we remembered. We're sharing this feedback because we truly hope Tino's can return to the quality that made Osteria Procaccini so special. This place has been a favorite for many years, and we'd love to see it back to its best. read more

The last time I was at this location was over 3 years ago when it was called Osteria Procaccini. Since then, they have build a great outdoor patio and added some more salad and sandwich menu items. My girlfriends and I have a very enjoyable lunch on their outdoor patio. The service was super friendly and efficient. We ordered the La Pera Salad and Tino's Margherita pizza. The salad had very fresh ingredients and the pizza was very tasty. Bistro lights adorn the outdoor patio, so at night it probably has a nice ambiance. I plan to go back for dinner! The next time I fall in love, I want Mr. Right guy to be sitting across from me while I surrender to the perfectly balanced flavors of this little masterpiece pizza. Just dreaming up new ways to achieve Multiple Os. Seriously, this was the best pizza I ever ate. Note that it was a very busy Friday night, yet our entire meal was done to perfection. The wait staff was VERY attentive (even sweet). We weren't rushed, at all. Our Mozzarella-stuffed Baked Eggplant Appetizer was superb. The eggplant was light - not oily nor heavy. The stuffing was creamy & melty not stringy nor chewy. Very flavorful chopped basil was sprinkled over a thick, tasty marina sauce. Note that this is a hearty dish - as in plentiful & filling - consisting of 3 large rolls of eggplant. We each ate one roll & took the third one home. The Hopewell Valley Cabernet wine was OK, not fab. A million places tout themselves as Artisans. This restaurant delivers the goods. read more

Tino's really doesn't look like much as you drive by it. It blends in real good with the other houses/buildings right Rt. 27. The parking lot is located behind the building and you need to turn in by the Investors Bank. We went with a party of 3 on a Monday night around 6:00pm and it ended up being full by the time we left around 8ish. We sat in the outer patio area that was covered and filled with heat warming lamps so it never felt like we were outside. Time for the food! We had to try the basic Margherita and X-Pie (mushroom white pizza) which were amazing! For dessert they offer lots of different cafe/coffee type drinks which are great for the cold weather coming but we opted to go with the panna cotta brulee which was creamy and delicious along with a slice of tiramisu. Definitely a place you have to try out at least once! Pro tip: The artisan style pizza is awesome to sit and share but I don't recommend it for a game day party as these are not your typical football or party day sized slices! read more

Ordered take out during a short weekend trip. Mind you, my chicken Parmesan was sitting in a car for 20 minutes before it reached my belly and taste buds. It was sooo good. The breading was light, crisp, amazing. My dish came with two pieces of chicken and spaghetti. The noodles were really fresh, my guess is it was made from scratch. Normally Tinos is outstanding but very disappointed this visit. They are usually superb and always helpful with food allergies but the server this time was truly terrible. Not sure if she was new or just incompetent but she ruined our celebration. Just wow, best pizza in Jersey I've had. Let's start with the venue - it's a cute little spot off of a fairly narrow street, but there's plenty of parking in the back, next to their outdoor seating section. We went with a party of 4 on a Thursday around 6:30 and were seated immediately - we chose the patio section with super warm heating lamps. Our waitress was awesome - came and opened our wine as we sat down (byob!) and served us super fast. It wasn't crowded at all which we appreciated when dining in during covid. As for the food, we ordered- - Octopus appetizer (5/5), came cut in pieces on a salad, tasted light and refreshing - Seared ahi tuna salad (5/5), thin pieces of ahi on a bed of salad, cant go wrong - Traditional bruschetta (5/5), both the tomatoes and bread were fantastic, however the cherry tomatoes roll off the bread very easily, not sure if there's a better way to add them - Tartufo pizza (5/5), mushrooms were sooo good - Ruchetta (5/5), lots of shaved parm on top, the balsamic reduction was very sweet but worked well with the arugula and prosciutto - Cannoli (5/5), classic cannoli can't go wrong Overall we LOVED how hot the pizza came to us, the terra cotta cooking worked perfectly for these thin crusts - similar to Neapolitan style. We were planning to take some left overs but decided to just finish everything there since reheating wouldn't be the same. Ingredients all tasted fresh, can't wait to return! Delicious artisan pizza if you're in the Princeton area - although they look to have quite a few locations in NJ/NY. Thin crust, easily foldable - I had the Antonia with Antonia with fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, salami & EVOO.
