Got a recommendation as this was my first time traveling to the area, and was really happy with the whole experience. I had a lasagna and then followed that with a Chocolate mousue all with a glass of recommended wine. Everything was so tasty, well presented, and timed to perfection. The service was excellent, in that the lady who served me at the bar, timed everything perfectly, was friendly, and on asking which wine to recommend (I am no conasuer) she poured a great red wine which I enjoyed. Sitting at the bar, on a quiet Monday night, meant the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for me to be lost in my phone, enjoy my food and not be rushed, crowded by others, and left alone. This was just what I needed after a long first day away from home. Really enjoyed everything about the place, the service, the staff, and the quality of the food. I picked up a takeout order today, and unfortunately the experience left me with serious concerns about sanitation. When I arrived, I was told to pick up my order at the bar. While waiting there, I noticed numerous flies around the bar area, including flies repeatedly landing on the uncovered straws that were sitting out for customers. That alone was concerning. What was even more troubling was that from the bar we had a clear view into the kitchen and food preparation area, where a young child was running around barefoot in the kitchen and food prep area. Seeing a barefoot child in an area where food is being prepared made both of us question the restaurant's food safety and sanitation practices. We also noticed the posted health inspection score was 91. While that is a passing score, it was surprising to see for a restaurant with premium pricing and one that is part of a management group that operates several well-known establishments in the area. Given the reputation and prices, we expected much higher standards of cleanliness and food safety. By the time we received our order, we were genuinely debating whether we even wanted to eat the food. It was disappointing because first impressions matter, and this experience did not inspire confidence. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and addresses them, as they could significantly impact customers' trust. read more

My daughter had the pizza marg pizza and it was delicious. The service was amazing, we sat in a beautiful table and got roses for Mother's Day. We enjoyed our dinning experience. My husband and I have been driving past Vinny's for years and for our Valentines dinner, he brought me here The ambiance is very romantic and it is a lot bigger than I expected. Perfect for Valentines dinner ! We got bread and Babaganoush to start. I would have preferred to have had butter instead of the babaganoush, since it was very heavy on the cumin and not my favorite. The entrees were yummy though! We didn't want to have pizza, and there were very limited vegetarian options on the menu. I got the veggie lasagna and my husband got an entree that was like a mushroom with pappardelle and a lemon butter sauce that he enjoyed. Our server was very kind and attentive! One restaurant in metro Atlanta region that I have been trying to visit since the Pandemic days for this place had some amazing reviews and especially to try their Pizzas. It was good but could have been a lot better. THE FOOD: I happened to visit this place at 5:30PM and to my surprise, they had an Evening Menu which is something in between their Lunch and Dinner which starts at 7 I guess. On top of that this Evening menu is very very extremely limited; it's not available on their website I guess. Literally couple of appetizers, 3-4 Entrees and 2 desserts. This was a shocker in every sense. And on top of that it had limited Vegetarian menu compared to their full range menu. We got the Margherita Flat bread and Calamari, and the flat bread just blew my mind. It was so delicious and cooked to perfection. Heard the Calamari was decent. It took some time to get our order though and by the time it was around 6:15 ish we thought we will get the Entrees and due to limited vegetarian options (literally 1 entree on the evening menu) I asked if I could get something like a Pasta or a different Pizza (instead of Margherita which I just had). Since it wasn't time for dinner, I went with White sauce pizza with Mushrooms. This was another amazing dish in my opinion. So delicious and different from the flat bread and was very well baked. While others had a different entree (I couldn't recollect the name), they seemed to be a bit happy with theirs. Then for the desserts we had Tiramisu and Chocolate cake, and Tiramisu was totally off in my opinion. The most bland dessert I have had and the coffee flavor & the cake didn't set well either. It just fell apart as I had my first bite. Disappointed though. SERVICE & AMBIENCE: Extremely well lit and very well designed restaurant from the exteriors to the interior. It was so pleasant and very different at the same time, more like having food in an Italian country side setting. It's a well spacious and laid out restaurant. The service was very good too. They were able to accommodate us at least with an Out of Evening menu item upon request. The staffs were friendly and knowledgeable as well. BOTTOMLINE: Looks to be a great place for some amazing delicious and fresh tasting food. The only or the big down side being the menu limitations and having extremely limited options for Vegetarians (No meat, no fish) option. Would probably visit for the exquisite Pizza. For especial occasions, I save and come here. The last three times I have been greeted by the hostess and welcomed knowing my especial occasion and congratulating me. The waiters are top notch professionals making me and my family feel especial. Always tending to me. The pepper, the cheese, explaining to me the wines. What else do you need? Made me and my family feel comfortable and especial. At end of the meal, I didn't have to ask, they brought my little dessert. This last time, the hostess was not welcoming, she seemed to object even irritated at me, when I was greeting her, the waitress did not know her menu, cheeses, wines. Never came to ask how we were doing. Never made us feel the "especial occasion." At the end of the dinner she never offered my treat, she was ready to clean up the table. I had to beg her for the treat! Also, the fish I got was about 2 1/2 inch inches square and it was the most expensive item we ordered. Breaking news! I think I found the BEST pizza in all of Atlanta! We stopped by Vinny's on Windward where I was in the mood for some pizza. I ordered the prosciutto pizza, which came with carmelized onions, spinach and white truffle oil. I'm including a picture. Chef's kiss on this, I promise! I started with a simple arugula salad, but the pizza took center stage. I paced myself, so I'd have an excuse to take home some leftovers. Reservations recommended on the weekend. We have been dining at Vinny's since its inception 27 years ago, that is why we chose this restaurant it was always a go to spot for us. The service was very good and the ambience is amazing as always! Lots of action! We enjoyed the carpaccio and artichoke hearts both were delicious. Sadly, our entrées were just meh. In fact, the veal Parmesan and fettuccine Alfredo was plain awful on like a frozen TV dinner. Thank heavens for dessert, which was the tiramisu and the brown butter cake, amazing! Went with my team from work. The appetizers were fresh and amazing (calamari, asparagus, tomato-mozzarella-prosciutto salad, and bread). Young, Latino man was our server. He was 4 . He checked on us, but didn't ask us how our main course was. I had lemon martinis with Tito's - fresh lemon juice NO TITOS. Don't drink very often anymore, but after having 2 I still had no buzz at all and couldn't taste anything but the lemon. 2nd martini barely had sugar on the rim and there was no twist of lemon. My teammates enjoyed their lamb, salad, and ribeye. I had a ribeye med-rare. It was like rubber. My knife would not cut it so I borrowed my friend's knife (I was also the only one at the table who was given the style steak knife) . Hers cut better but it was still tough. There was no marbling of the ribeye. The purple butter on top tasted terrible. Steak was terrible - like it had been frozen and then flash boiled The fingerling potatoes tasted like nothing. I couldn't believe it. My other friend had the ribeye rare and his also didn't look easy to cut, but he enjoyed it. I refused to even try to eat any more than the bite I already took so I gave it to my friend to feed to her hog. My daughter I said bring her food home although I warned her how bad mine was. She asked for the chicken parmigiana. OMG it was terrible. The noodles were a glob and the smell was terrible. She said it tasted terrible. In the garbage it went. Overall disappointing experience. I'm writing this review at 11:35pm because I see there are pretty good reviews. I guess it depends on what quality you want for what you pay for. I won't return. Not sure how the stars are so high. We arrived with a large group and a few short for our table. The manager went back and forth about the reservation in our first 5 minutes of seating which was so unnecessary. Our team had to quickly redirect him with let's move on from this and just fix the problem. Any skilled person in the industry knows you don't go back and forth with a customer. The server suggested a red wine and the three of us that drank it wouldn't have ordered it. The second bottle-- it was better. My friend ordered a mule and decided after that to order a coke. In an atmosphere where the drinks could have been flowing this place left a lot to be desired. Food: I ordered the rack of lamb. I did not even finish my order it was not good and there was some sweet sauce that I do not recall the menu pointing out. No other flavor whatsoever but the sweet sauce. I know some enjoyed their food... I tasted the squid ink and the noodles were super spicy.. they were good but I felt they were cooked less than al denté but again good flavor. Dessert: I ordered the chocolate mouse.. it looked delicious but it was just okay.. I chose not to waste the calories on something that was just okay. My family and I came here for Easter Sunday brunch. I haven't been here in 20 years so I was excited to try it again. The service was excellent. Unfortunately, the food wasn't. I got the steak and eggs. My eggs were overcooked and my steak was lukewarm, grisly and unseasoned. My son had to return his omelette as well. It was overcooked and underseasoned. The lamb was the toughest serving of meat I have ever encountered. The creme brulee was a bizarre concoction of pudding patties squeezed between sweet wafers. Hard to describe well and just as difficult to eat. I should have returned them both but I didn't want to embarrass my wife on our anniversary. Visited here for a birthday meal while in Alpharetta! We loved everything we got, starting from the bread board and mussels to the entrees. The sauce the mussels come in is amazing! Our entree choices included the seafood risotto, which came with great shrimp and scallops and had a rich truffle flavor. We also got the veal tortelloni, which was another fan favorite and full of flavor! We also enjoyed their unique creme brûlée dessert, which was just as tasty as it was different. Cannot say enough good things about Vinny's! We had our rehearsal dinner here for our wedding a couple weeks ago on a Friday evening. We had just about 30 people. They helped us create a pre selected menu for our event and made the whole thing so easy for us. The service was great and everyone could not stop raving about how much they enjoyed the food. Our menu was 4 courses. For appetizers, we got the veal tortellini and the flatbread. We got the Caesar salad for our salad course. For the main course, we let people choose between the gnocchi and meatballs, the chicken parm and the filet. For dessert, we did the tiramisu. All of it was so great! We love Vinny's! read more

I even enjoyed the house salad which was all fresh. We went over the holiday break and there was barely anyone there, so I encourage you to try them out. I had a reservation at 6pm on Saturday. I arrived at that time and I was seated right away. I knew I wanted bread so I ordered the bread board for an appetizer.. I wasn't that impressed. It was pretty dry and I was hoping for more flavor from the dipping oil. It's the kind of bread, that if it came for free with your meal it would be fine, but paying specifically for it I just expected it to be more. And it wasn't warm. A shame to waste calories on this. I ordered the crispy skin salmon with lemon risotto and it was perfect! The skin on the salmon deliciously crispy, the salmon was a perfect medium and the risotto was perfectly creamy. There was a lot of lemon flavor which was a bit overpowering but it was really good. I took tiramisu to go and thought it was good. Not the best I've had but certainly a respectable version. I cannot wait to go back and will be ordering the salmon again. But skipping the bread. read more

I been going to Vinny's of and on for 15 years. Last night was the last time I wil go. they use to have good service and food. No longer the case. We were questioned when we inquired about our food. First was he forgot a salad and basically said she did not order it which other at the table heard her. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out over cooked when cut into it. I told the server and he questioned me about the dud I cut into it. it was clearly cut. it was a large party and not one guest said their food was good, most said it was o.k. I didn't try the meatballs or charcuterie board, but the meatballs were reportedly good and charcuterie board wasn't anything special. I had a cara cara something er rather salad and chicken scaloppine. The salad was ok, I wouldn't order it again. The chicken scaloppine was delicious- best thing I had. The chicken Parmesan was reportedly good and it was huge. Server was friendly and attentive. We came back to visit and my second experience was not close to my first. My burrata appetizer was good, except for the greens that we're dosed with balsamic vinegar, could not eat it. There were only two pasta options for a vegetarian, lasagna or ravioli with spinach, olives and capers, the ravioli edges were hard and the dish was tossed together. For an Italian restaurant, you need to be more accommodating to vegetarians. The tiramisu was ok, with a huge dump of coco powder as garnish. The other issue there were large gaps between courses, by the time we had been served dessert,mit was 2 1/2 hours for a party of six. Lastly, I ordered a second glass of wine, I asked the server how the super Tuscan was, she said it was wonderful,, it was not, full of sulfites, don't offer wine if either you don't know or it is not great, should not even be on the menu. Lastly, the restaurant is very smokey, they make their own pizza, they need a better exhaust system, you can see the smoke cascading through the pin spot lights.
