The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful, and the aioli brought everything together beautifully without overpowering the dish. Our favorite savory dish was the braised cabbage. It arrived as essentially half a cabbage--about the size of a brain--which made it a little awkward to eat. That said, the flavors more than made up for the presentation. The gochujang barbecue sauce was rich and slightly sweet with just the right amount of heat, and the roasted oyster mushrooms complemented the cabbage perfectly. Overall, Sombramesa delivered a fantastic meal with creative, high-quality food and excellent service.
