I will preface this with this. I have frequented Vino's multiple times in the past. I have found it very hit and miss. However, today was the final straw. The Mrs. and I decided to go there for lunch. The place was not particularly busy. I ordered a medium Vino's Special pizza, my wife, a half chicken sandwich. We waited for 30 minutes. The pizza, when it came out, was a large. One would think 'win', however, it was so soggy in the middle, it was as if someone poured a cup of water on the pizza. Absolutely disgusting. My wife's 'half sandwich' was burned, with s hair on the plate. I am not exaggerating. I promptly returned the pie to the counter and told them to throw it in the garbage. Absolute prison slop. I will not be back. Management should take note of this. Your business will not remain long in this world if you continue to produce simmering garbage from your kitchen. I will NEVER return. Been coming to this place for decades. It never changes. House brewed beer & a calzone makes for a perfect meal. Always cooked perfectly. You might see it from the outside and think it's liable to fall in, or house a bunch of people that will stab you. normally vinos pizza is the best. But today when I got my pizza home it was dry, cold, and looked like it had been made hours ago. The cheese wasn't melted and the dough tasted bland. I've eaten here for years and never had it be this bad. When I called to talk to a manager, Nate, said we could drive back across town to get another one... but we should have gotten a fresh pizza to begin with. read more

Best thing about this place was super friendly staff! They serve Pepsi products too, which is a plus in my book- however the pizza didn't blow me away. I was kinda disappointed. Great crunchy crust, which one expects when you are ordering by the slice- since it's probably going to be reheated. But the crust didn't have great flavor. I kept it simple and did extra cheese and pepperoni- My husband had loaded slices. It was fine, that's really all I can say. As a longtime patron of Vino's, lemme break it down for you. Pizza: The most delicious is the Margherita. It's like a cheese pizza with an extra layer of love. Perhaps better, but not as mainstream, is the Vegetarian Special, where they spread out the tomato sauce, pile on a thick layer of perfectly chopped veggies and garlic, and sprinkle the cheese over. It is fitting that a place so filled with members of Little Rock's alternative culture would create the greatest veggie pizza I have ever had. Sandwiches: Until recently their sandwiches were lackluster, although sometimes I am in the mood for a bland sandwich. Then they made the Muffaletta. And although I'm sure somebody will say something about how their Muffaletta is inauthentic or something, or it can't be a Muffaletta because it's not in NOLA, I gotta say it's a delicious sandwich, especially the olive salad, and a great deal to boot. Salads: Simple. Lettuce, onion, mushrooms, shredded cheese, olives, and dressing. When they are doing it right, their salad is perfect. The house dressing is rich, and somewhat salty. I like to make my own with the squirt bottles of olive oil and red wine vinegar. The oil and vinegar also make a delicious dressing for their breadsticks and cheese bread, two items which are very inexpensive but can be transformed. Beer: My favorite is the Cream Ale. I have never tasted anything like it. It's like a very luxurious lager. Their IPA is good; well, most of their beers are good. Sadly, the root beer can be a little too sweet at times. Like any artisan product, the main devil is consistency. But their selection of draft and bottled beers is very good, though small, and reasonably priced. And of course, there's no way to describe the greatness that is Vino's. I once brought an au pair from the Czech Republic here, and he immediately said, This is a nice pub. There are so many details that make this place an emblem, a symbol of a different Little Rock. The art on the walls. The music hall in the back, where some incredible shows have been played by bands big and small. I once went to a wake there. Green Day once went to a party there. I've seen every kind of band you can think of there. Just before closing they would put out the leftover slices of cheese pizza and all of us would slam down our beers and grab them. The only good thing about the bathrooms is the graffiti, but it is hilarious. Also, if anyone is reading this, Vino's should put its tomato sauce in a jar and charge $5 for it. It is spicy, red, thick but creamy -- it is the best tomato sauce in the city. It's too bad you can't get spaghetti here. read more

Vino's holds a special place in my heart. Going to shows since I was a teenager and going back from time to time for great pizza and root beer still hits the spot for me. It seems to stick out...in a good way. Besides the nostalgia I have for the place, I'll concentrate on the food. My wife and I went to Vino's last Friday for something very, very simple. Pepperoni pizza and root beer. Yes, you may find yourself waiting in between the two doors in a line that seems to go fairly slow. Yes, you may wish the waiters and waitresses checked on you more (this never bothered me, because as a teenager, I never knew they existed in the first place). Yes, you may wait a little while for your food. However, when the hot pizza arrives on your table, all is well in the world. I love how they no longer serve your drink in the small paper cups. That was a pain. It's the little things, guys. Our pizza arrived and every bite reminded me why I love this place. This particular pie had a few too many "dough bubbles" on it for my liking, but it didn't take away from the taste. Our root beers tasted a little flat compared to previous times, but the homemade brew was still delicious. I've never eaten food from Vino's that I didn't like. Everyone laughs when I order a Turkey Pizza (yes, I said Turkey), but I highly recommend it alongside the Pizza Margherita. If you like a good hole-in-the-wall pizza place that is more on personality and good taste, go gran some pizza at Vino's. read more

Last October on my trip to Austin from Pennsylvania, Little Rock was the next place on my journey to hang my hat for the night. After the long day's drive from Louisville, I was in the mood to find a microbrewery that served food. Vino's seemed like the place to go. Indeed, it was! Man I really liked this place! It reminded me of how Austin used to be; full of character with no pretentiousness, kinda like if Love Joys served food. In fact, Little Rock in general reminded me of Austin past. Places like Vino's are an endangered species in Austin. Well anyhoo, the clientele was a comfortable mix of boomers, gen-xers, and college age kids. In addition to food, mainly pizzas and calzones, they also brew their own beer. I ordered a calzone and a couple of I.P.A.'s. The calzone was great. It had a crispy crust and the inside was piping hot with an italian tomato sauce, onions, peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni, and delicious fennel spiced italian sausage that rocked. The I.P.A was spot on! It was nicely hopped with a smooth body and balanced alcohol kick. One of the best I.P.A's I've had for sure. This place hit the spot and was exactly what I needed after a long day on the road. If I lived in Little Rock, Vino's would surely be a regular place for me to hang out. read more

I don't know what you call this style of pizza but it is my absolute favorite. There are two pizza joints in Atlanta that I frequent because they make pizza just like this. The perfect ratio of crust, sauce, and toppings! The calzone was great. I'm a bit ... intrigued by the chicken BLT pizza. I wasn't that impressed with this place. We ordered their cream ale - it was flat and honestly not so good. We switched to a regional brand and got a much better product. We went there on a Tuesday night around 6pm, so I didn't expect the food to take that long; we waited around 35-40 minutes for one pizza. The waitress didn't check on us very often, which doesn't make a lot of sense when a bunch of dudes are running through pitchers of beer. Biggest complaint though, has to do with the bathroom. If you're forced to sit at a restaurant for over an hour for a simple pizza meal, there ought to be a serviceable bathroom. It was honestly frightful in there. My friends chose this restaurant for their rehearsal dinner. This pizza place brews their own beer. I tried several including the cream ale. They also have IPA style beers. They also have stouts and porters, which are my favorite. One of my friends is vegan. He brought his own vegan cheese in that they used to prepare his pizza. They have traditional flavors as well as some that are more fun. One such pizza is the muffaletta pizza. It doesn't have tomato sauce, but it does have the New Orleans style olive salad as well as pepperoni and ham. The chicken BLT pizza is awesome. It has chicken and also lettuce and tomatoes on it. Being from NJ, I take my pizza seriously. Lucky for me, so does Vino's. The place is a total dump, which absolutely adds to it's appeal. It reminds me of some of my favorite bars in Philly. Wobbly tables, uneven hardwood floors and uncomfortable seating all help to make you feel as unpretentious as it gets. The line seems to consistently get out the front door which, in turn, leads to a long wait for the food but, it's worth it. The service is slow but, with a smile and of no fault of the wait staff. You order good food, you wait for good food. Thats just kinda how it is. The beer was really good (I only had the cream and the wheat ale's ((Cream of Wheat Ale?? The best Calzone in Little Rock and one of the best I've had in the U.S. Their Marghareita Slice is also simply fantastic - its so simple and so flavorful. Their crust is THIN - I love it. Beer - IPA is great. The only downfall here - is the noise. Call before you go to see when the band starts if you don't want to deal with all that. You can get beer here and take it home - awesome - Put a deposit on the bottle. The wait staff is QUICK - you order at the register, get a number for your table and your good to go - have a beer and a short wait later your foods there. The pizza here was really great, probably the best of the assortment I have had in Little Rock. Also the medium pizza was huge. Easily could have been cut into 8 slices. We also ordered the house salad. It easily served two. It's another one of those order at the counter places that I have found all over LR. This is also a microbrewery. My bf has gone several times in the evening and has tried most of the beers and thinks they are good. They did have a sign that their next beer tapped is going to be lemongrass chili pepper. I think that sounds delicious. Their wine selection is very minimal and they serve it in tiny little baby glasses, but they fill it to the top, and again, this is a microbrewery, so I'm sure they don't care too much about wine drinkers. I've heard this place is a hipster haven, however, every bearded server there was very nice to my preppy self. It was a little dirty, but maybe that's the hipster part of it shining through. read more

This is a quality spot to grab pizza and and bite to eat. It is a slow process the whole way.. but they do warn you that during busy hours it can take 25-40 minutes to get certain items. The process of ordering took time because the people ahead of use were ordering Beer to go and the person running the register was the one taking food orders and also the one to pour the beer. He did acknowledge us during the long wait and that was a plus. The Pizza was above average but nothing amazing and I did not have any of the brewery beers. I have to say that if you dine-in at Vino's, you are in for some good eating. However, this is the 2nd time that we have ordered our food to go and the food is absolutely crap. The calzones that we got (the last 2 times) maybe had 6 pepperonis in it and the salad had all iceberg instead of the 1/2 and 1/2 that they give you in house. My only guess is that this is a short cut that the staff is taking. What a shame. The Calzones and salads are awesome every time we dine in, just don't do to-go orders. read more

I love this place. Ultra funky brewpub, pizza joint, and music venue. The first time I came here, there was a horribly loud heavy metal band playing in the back bar area. That really put me off for the feel of the place at first. Though that was late at night. Earlier is much calmer, and they do have better bands play here then that particular night anyway. As you first walk in there is a stand up front that you order at. The tap wall is behind the stand, and all the beers are on a chalkboard. Then you find a seat. There are two sections. Up front is divided in half, then there is a bar area in the back. The food and service was really good. Because you have to go to the front to order it can get slow, but the waitresses know their stuff and do the best they can. I had a callzone, and it hit the spot. Lots of pizzas and other sandwiches to chose from as well. The quality can't be beat. The beer is as fresh as can be, and the pizzas are great as well. The selection is really good as well. They have plenty of house beers. The selection rotates, but you can find a Pale Ale, ESB, Scotch Ale, Porter, Stout, and some others I can't remember. They also have a lot of other high quality craft and imports. New Belgium, Diamond Bear to Sam Smith and Chimay. Overall a great local spot. read more

We were on a road trip from Louisville back to LA due to flight cancellations (weather). Ended up in Little Rock and had pizza on the brain. I am a fan of micro breweries so we ended up at Vino's. Walking in it definitely feels like some home brewer buddies decided to take it to the next level. It's got that local neighborhood hang vibe which I like. The pizza was great. My kids are very picky when it comes to their cheese pizza and wolfed down every bite. The slices were the right size and crust was good. They've nailed it on the pizza side and the cross cutting of the kids slices into little diamond pieces it something I'm stealing. On the beer side I am a fan of hoppy IPA's and was not feeling it with theirs. It felt IPA light. The Lager was pretty good. If I was in town for more than one night I would definitely come back and check out the rest of the menu and pours so it's on my list if I ever come through Little Rock again. read more

Vino's is good at what it's good for, so I love it! I usually come here for a casual friendly lunch, and it is a great place for that. You order at the counter (have one of their excellent microbrews with your meal... you know you want to!), and they give you your drinks then and bring your food to you later. I usually have the mushroom and pepperoni calzone, but I've had pizza too. The calzones are huge and delicious! They come with more pizza sauce on the side for dipping. One of my friends usually gets a salad, and it also looks very good. Vino's is friendly and easy going and you can linger over your meal. There are many different seating areas, including outside (and outside upstairs). You can sit and talk and drink and fiddle-faddle, all the while sustained by great pizza and calzones. I've been to Vino's twice already during my short time in LR. I guess that means I like the place. They brew their own beer and the Lazy Boy Stout is superb. The pizza is good, not great. As a result, I ordered a spinach calzone on my second visit. TOO MUCH CHEESE. Seriously, I LOVE cheese but this thing was gut wrenching. I'd take 4xthe spinach and half the ricotta, thanks. I'll go back, but I'm switching back to pizza. The atmosphere is punk-rock dive and I love it. I can't wait to catch a live show here. I really want to give Vino's 5 stars (currently hovering around 4 and a quarter) but the food just isn't impressive enough. A friend recommend coming to Vino's and I was not disappointed. It has that big city hole in the wall feel with good food. This place just exudes a delightful indie feel before you even enter. It's actually kind of hard to realize that you've made it to your destination, due to the somewhat well-disguised front door. I was in town the other day for work and took advice from you Yelpers. You have to love that this place is a whole in the wall. The atmosphere screams take us or leave us... I don't give a shit. You have to love it. You also have to love that they make their own beer. The calzone as much as everyone RAVED about it..... eh. I got a pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom and I still think as I type this.... eh. The dough was bland (but slightly crunchy on the ends which I love). The meat could have been a little bit more plentiful and when I cut it open it made me think of NY style pizza with all of the grease that came pouring out. The best thing about it? The sauce that came with it. It had a smoky tomato flavor with some oregano mixed in. Another good thing... cheap. $12 for a calzone, salad, and a beer. Damn that's a good price. I'll be back try the pizza next time I'm in town but hopefully it's not as greasy as the calzone. read more

They are a locally owned hole in the wall that offers some of the best pizza and calzones you'll find anywhere in the "rock" ~ Little Rock. Their micro brew's are also very good and their prices are very reasonable. When you go, order their muffeletta pizza or a sausage and spinach calzone along with a cold IPA beer. So delicious! Great pizza in a casual atmosphere. When the food is this good who needs to fuss about "atmosphere?" Pizza has a great topping to crust ratio with delicious tomato sauce.
