Best calzone in Arkansas. Their beer is good, not great (except the christmas beer, which is fantastic). The pizza slices are good too.

The best pizza in Little Rock, hands down, in my book. They also have great beer and I really love their salads too. If you've never been before, you order up front and seat yourself, and they give you a quirky little postcard to put on your table so the server knows where your pizza goes. Only negative is that they are not super attentive on refilling non alcoholic beverages And as a side note, I generally only go for lunch or dinner on a week night, so I can't comment on the type of weekend evening crowds they may have. read more

Vino's is a Little Rock institution! From the home crafted micro brews to great pizza, calzone and sandwiches, this place has kept me happy for years. Henry (owner) has done a great job of creating a place that is unpretentious...a haven for a more off beat crowd. This is incredibly hard to do in such a cookie cutter town. But, many of the lily white town folk who feel that they are in the presence of Satan when surrounded by a wait staff with one too many tattoos, piercings or even a Cramps t-shirt, have loosened up to the vibe that Henry and Vino's has created. As a visiting friend from NYC once mentioned, stepping into Vino's is quite reminiscient to the mood and feeling of stepping into a bar in Grennwich Village. It is this fresh alternative to the endless array of the same ole, same ole within this city that makes Vino's a wonderful (and affordable) escape! Vino's isn't just noted for food and drink, it is also a great venue for live music. Once a stop for a young and aspiring Green Day, this haunt was also a launching pad for Evanescence before they hit the big time. Great hand tossed fresh pizza. The Lazy Boy stout is perfect with pizza the huge calzones and a too go must growler beer. Like most places in Little Rock the building is old and has a lot of character. Some would say seedy, but the place is cool,staff are awesome and the food rocks. I was in Little Rock for a night & a bartender recommend I check out Vino's. So glad I did! It's a small pizza joint with a variety of beer options, a few of which they actually brew themselves. They also sell pizza by the slice, which is a plus since my boyfriend and I usually like different kinds of pizza. I decided on a slice of the chicken BLT which a glass of rainbow wheat. The pizza was hot and delicious! It tasted like it just came out of the oven. The rainbow wheat beer was a perfect addition. I definitely recommend this place to any pizza lovers. read more

How to sum up this Little Rock tradition? It's a rundown hole-in-the-wall, and has been ever since I found the place almost 20 years ago. That's not a complaint, it's their style. If you want linen on the table, this isn't the place for you. Low-key, undemanding, and accepting. The venue and the crowd. The walls are adorned with multiple layers of peeling paint as well as various kinds of art for sale from local hopefuls (some of whom have gone on to success at least locally). the menu is mostly (entirely?) pizza, calzones, sandwiches, and salads. all of them are quite tasty. and the dough is made and hand-spun constantly and visibly in the open--and rather tiny--kitchen. While the pizza is certainly good, you can certainly get better pizza in central arkansas. I'm not aware of anyone making a better calzone though. I helped to start the micro-brewery there many years ago before the current system was put into place...I think in 1994/5 (wow, that made me feel old.) and I'm very happy to see it still going strong and making a respectable product. What can you say about Vino's. It has been around forever and nothing has changed. That can be good or bad depending on your view of things. The place looks pretty grimy and it always has. However that is part of the Vino's charm. A lot of the employees look a little rough too. That is also how it has always been. But the food is terrific. They have the best calzones in the city and a decent selection of beer. as well. So you want to be hipster cool but can't afford all of that expensive micro brew? They also have PBR on tap in the back room for cheap, assuming the back room is open. If you are lucky you might even catch a good show in the back. If you haven't been to Vino's go to get a slice of pizza and slice of Little Rock you may not know existed. read more

Vino's is a really cool place to go in downtown L.R. for pizza and beer. I can't remember exactly, but I think they have a lot of specialty brews. Regardless, the beer is good and the food is yum and you can tell by the line you will be in. It's just a cool place to have dinner and hang with friends. The live shows they have are pretty hard rock, so, if you don't like that the music isn't for you, but I highly suggest it for a meal. Also, since LR doesn't let you buy alcohol on Sundays you can go here and bring a bottle or whatever else and they will fill it with beer for you and take it home. read more

this is a straight foward, no nonsense, beer and pizza type of place. If you like IPA, try the pinnacle. It is very hoppy...I can't imagine the Imperial, but I'm dying to try it... The pizza: It isn't exceptional, but it is solid. They have (what I call) the 'good' type of sausage. Its the chunkier, thicker clumps with seasoning laying on the top of it. It isn't New York style, it isn't thin crust and it deep-dish. Think papa johns (style wise) and that is the 'type' of pizza Vino's has...just way better. I would definitely recommend the pizza. I've lived in Arkansas for 2 months now and been to Vinos twice. Its located downtown not too far from the Regions building. The first time I went was on a Wednesday for lunch 12-1 . It was so busy. It took nearly 40 minutes for us to get our food. However The pizza was pretty good and my co workers calzone was huge and smelled taste. They are reasonably priced. I am assuming Monday - Friday lunch time is not the best time to come with your family. But great for you and your co workers to get a bit to eat and drink. The next time I went I took my family on a Saturday for lunch and there were some other family's there with children. We all got pizza slices which are pretty big. Family of 3 got 5 pizza slices and 3 drinks for under $15.00 . Its a good casual place to eat at. My coworkers rate it a 4-5 . I give it a 3.5 ! read more

Dive bar with a punk vibe that serves excellent pizza. I went here with a local to pick up a few slices and a "growler" of beer to go. They'll put your beer in a moonshine-style jug and seal it up to take with you, which qualifies as the most amazing thing I've seen in Little Rock so far. I've only been here a day and a half, but still, good way to start the visit AND end a Sunday. I can also recommend the bread sticks with cheese. They obviously know not to overcook them like a lot of pizza places, so the bread remains soft while the cheese is melted. Really cool spot. read more

Vino's is awesome. The workers here are all super cool and friendly. The pizza is delicious and not too expensive. The salad is good and comes loaded with cheese. The calzones are awesome and huge. Vino's has a good lunch special, a slice with one topping, a salad and a drink that is 6 dollars including tax. It's not a ton of food but still good. They also do growlers of beer to go.
