Best pizza I've ever had! We got the mozzarella sticks, cheesy bread, 2 small pizzas (perfect size for 1-2 people), and a large finding Nemo shrimp pizza! Francisco was our server & chef too (they're hiring!); the food was fresh and delicious and Francisco was friendly & authentic! He said everything is homemade & made fresh daily!! He also said the owners are opening a sports bar & grill in Carson City in 6 months and they're opening another location of Vino's Pizza in Reno in the next week or two!! Well I have to say today I picked up two pizzas to bring home and they were not the same quality that I had 11 days ago on Valentines day. One was made wrong even tho the order slip was correct. And the employee did not offer to fix it. It seemed they were both overcooked also. On Valentines day when We picked up a slice of pizza the cheese was amazing and long strings of it attached to the pizza. Todays, on both pizza, no strings of cheese. It was basically hard and the crust chewy, not crisp as last time. I do not mind have a few mistakes, but for two medium pizzas with two toppings and over $40.00, I expect the pizza to be better than Dominos. I am incredibly disappointed today with Vinos in Carson City compared to just 11 days ago. I doubt we will be back. Back to Dominos pizza for us. read more

We have ordered from Vino's several times, though expensive, it has been a pleasurable experience. Last night was our daughters 18th birthday so we ordered pizza and wings. When my husband called to order, the owner asked how much we were tipping. Rude, but my husband told the owner $5. We gave our card number and went about our night. We realized we were not going to be home by the time the food was to arrive so my husband called back and asked for them to leave the food at our door. When the food was delivered a man called my husband and asked where his tip was. Rude! I called the owner a few moments ago and explained I have worked that industry for years and to ask for a tip especially in that manner is rude. So, my Wife ordered a pizza over the phone, and they told her it would be ready at a certain time. She gets to the Restaurant, and still has to wait another 30 minutes before she got her order. That was really off-putting. The Establishment itself is nice and decent,, but the Service was slow, and the pizza had a good flavor but the crust was a bit too hard / over-cooked. And the price for the pizza was really too high. You can buy two pizzas at other places for what you pay for one here, so keep that in mind. If the prices were lower, we'd probably give the place another shot, but as it is, there's other places with cheaper alternatives. read more

First of all, this restaurant is a beautifully decorated version of what we all expect a little Italian Pizza restaurant should look like. Warm and welcoming. The Staff is very friendly. The food is extraordinary. Their menu offers a large variety of pizzas, salads and other items like the best wings in Carson City. Their pizza selection includes our favorite. The Meat Cravers is exceptional. Their assortment of special pizzas has something for every pizza lover. The salad selection is pretty exotic. The Pear Gorgonzola and Pecan salad is "to die for" excellence. What impresses the most is the quality of the ingredients, the freshness, and the skill to plate these little works of art that we get to eat. And by the way, when you order wings and don't get them within a few minutes, don't fret, they bake their wings, not fry them in old fryer oil. I ordered parmesan garlic wings. They came out as I would make them at home. Fresh garlic smothering the baked parmesan wings was heaven. Garlic anyone?!?! A pizza joint with a full collection of wine. It doesn't get any better than that. They offer vegan options as well as cauliflower crust. Huge selections of pizza. We opted for a small chicken supreme pizza, hot wings, and cheese bread. The marinara sauce came out hot and was so flavorful you could taste the garlic. It was thick & hearty and FULL of flavor. The hot wings definitely has a kick. The wings were a nice size and cooked perfectly. The cheese bread had chunks of garlic on them. It was not overwhelming and a perfect added ingredient to make their cheese bread stand out from all others. We came in close to closing time on a Saturday night. It was one other customer in the building. We were seated right away and our server, Tammy, was so attentive and personable. I suddenly got a bad sweeth tooth while waiting on our food and Tammy suggested the chocolate cake. It was DEVINE!! Definitely a must try even if you take it to go. read more

If you are at all concerned about the pandemic, heads up...the staff does not wear masks here. I don't know if they are all from the same religious cult or if they all have the same respiratory problems, but I saw 4 employees working without a mask both in front and in back of the house. In addition, there were 3 singers standing right next to us (no stage) belting out their tunes. We were packed in like sardines--about two feet between tables. Ate this pizza about 5 weeks ago. Got to try combination pizza and could not stand the marinara sauce or the crust. Got a piece of the chicken as it was a different sauce, the crust was awful! Then tried a slice of the sausage and pepperoni again, the crust was the most awful thing I have ever eaten. So glad I finally found out where this pizza came from. This may be a healthier alternative but they should offer normal pizza for those who just want a normal regular pizza. Next time I see that pizza again, it's going straight to the the trash! Absolutely the most amazing pizza. So glad we chose the popular pig pizza. The combination of bbq sauce with pulled pork and peaches was so amazing. Great balance of sweet to tangy. The house salad with cashews and dried tomato basil vinegarett was so fresh and tasty. We will be back. Though it became extremely busy after we arrived and short of staff, they were so kind, apologetic and attentive as so could be, with running a restaurant with only 2 servers. We will return soon. We just ordered delivery from this place for dinner. We went for the Maui pizza: Smoky BBQ sauce, pulled pork, red onions, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, pineapple, mozzarella cheese, and cheddar cheese. All these toppings were amazing! The pineapple was juicy and chunky. Bell peppers and onions were nicely sized. Pulled pork had flavor and was cooked well. The amount of BBQ sauce was a little over the top and unfortunately drowned out a lot of the other flavors. It was so saturated with BBQ sauce, cheese, and all the toppings you couldn't see any of the crust. When we bit into our slices we discovered that the dough used for the crust wasn't cooked all the way. It never had the chance to rise and fully cook due to being so laden down with sauce and toppings. It made the crust very flat, chewy, and sour from all the uncooked yeast. I was definitely disappointed about that part, I'm a huge crust person on my pizza's. But the delivery was on time and the lady who delivered our order was professional and friendly. OUTSTANDING! And easily the best Pizza that Gayle and I have enjoyed for a long time. Many thanks to Kara V. for recommending this Pizza Parlor for Adults. My Pizza Hound friend (Rene C.) would also approve. Of course my Teenage Son loved it too, and the Waitress was especially friendly and kind to him during our recent Lunch. Brugo's is a little challenging to find as it's on the North side of Downtown and kind of blends in with the sameness of this long commercial strip. The restaurant itself is relatively small and narrow, very nicely appointed, and with a cool outdoor deck. Gayle and my Son saved a little money (thanks again to our helpful Waitress) splitting a half and half. She picked the Joe's Sicilian Meatball Pizza on her side, while the Kid built some sort of a Chicken and BBQ combination. I went "light" and opted for a slice (Chicken Club) and a most interesting and flavorful Dinner Salad. My Son washed all that down with a bottomless soft drink, while the Adults enjoyed their draft pints of Moose Drool. There's also a fairly extensive wine list available. The Pizza was delicious, the crust was wonderful, and there was so much food that we took about half it home. That "Take Away" Pie lasted about 30 minutes back home, as Gayle's Mom and Son devoured it straight away (and after a little toaster oven boost). I hope Brugo's stays around for awhile. I worry that that this Gourmet Pizza Model that does not offer Pizza Hut prices, may not fully fit the Carson City demographic. Yet, this place is a good value for the money and offers a pleasant dining experience. This place needs to be located in a better location, as it is too good to be tucked away where it is. This had to be some of the best pizza we have had. We ordered a half hot wing chicken/southwestern BBQ. It is hard to say which half was better. The crust was perfect, not overcooked/burned and not soggy. There were so many delicious sounding options on the menu, it was hard to decide. The staff was attentive and treated us like they were happy to have us in. The customer service (5 stars) was very good but the medium big combo pizza (2 stars) was not. I ordered the pizza to go but I was hungry and asked if I could sit down and have a slice. The female employee said "No problem!" She setup a table for me, gave me a plate, utensils, napkins and a glass of water. As I opened the box, the pizza looked great and I grabbed a slice. As I bit into it the pizza the sauce tasted odd. The sauce was very bland, all tomato with no seasoning like it came from a jar. The meat, vegetables and crust were good but the sauce ruined the eating experience. I think I would have had a better eating experience buying a frozen pizza. read more

First impression pulling up, I was kind of impressed. Looked fancy looked nice, but hours weren't posted. We walked in and got immediate service, because the place was empty. I'm not sure if that's because it was 3ish on a Sunday afternoon, or if because people already knew what we discovered. While the breadsticks and pizza were yummy, I don't think they were with the $40 check we left with. The medium breadsticks were about $11. The large pizza had 8 slices and was $22. Max's Dr Pepper was $2 and he left a tip I'm not sure was deserved. Service was only ok. Nothing above average to make me want to rave about. Now that it's day two of the pizza, I can't say the leftovers fared well. Probably a fresh only type of pizza. Not thoroughly impressed with this place. Won't go back.
