My wife and I had a terrific experience here. Despite a lengthy wait, we were able to slide in for two seats at the bar without waiting long at all. The service was fantastic. Our waitress and the bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with recommendations (our first time here). There was a slight mishap with my order, but they bent over backwards to make it right, which was greatly appreciated. The food was amazing. I had a cup of their clam chowder as a starter (I was starving) and it was easily the best chowder I've had outside of San Francisco and Seattle. My main was their French dip. It was piled high with thinly shaved beef and cheese. Would definitely recommend. My wife enjoyed her salmon and eggs Benedict. I tried a bit of it and thought the salmon had fantastic flavor. The restaurant has a good vibe, the staff are friendly and attentive. What is concerning to me was one of the chefs. We were a group of 8 and while we were waiting on our food I happened to have a clear view of the kitchen. When I watched for a minute I realize the chef had his long hair pulled back in a ponytail, but his beard down to his chest had no covering. It grossed me out so much that every bite I was looking for hair! Then while the food came out and the waitress was serving she accidentally gave a plate of food to the wrong person. When it was discovered the waitress offered the plate to the correct person stating "he only took a couple of bites"! We all sat there in disbelief. The restaurant remade the dish to say the least. The food was tasty but the service was extremely slow. We arrived at 6pm and our food was served at 7pm. I Happen to be in Carson and decided to try out Eves Eatery, So happy I did! My husband got the Zeke omelet and he loved it. No shortage of meat or Serrano peppers. Beautiful presentation to boot! I got the NY steak and eggs, the steak was melt in your mouth and seasoned perfectly. If we lived in the area we would absolutely frequent this place more often. I love coming here to eat with my parents. They live in Carson and this is sucha cute new addition to the downtown area. The prices are great and you get a huge amount of food! They did not skimp on the smoked salmon with my toast. I devoured it within 10 minutes. I tried their kiwi strawberry mimosa. It inspired me to make this at home! So perfect for spring. Tried eves for the first time and was thoroughly impressed. Upon entering, we got a great first impression from the get go. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We were instantly sat and all of the staff we interacted with was very nice and attentive. I ordered the cheesecake stuffed French toast and it was sooo good. Maybe the best French toast I've had. Saturday morning and was able to get seating. Eve's menu offer plenty of options for any pallet and prices are very reasonable. Eve's also uses the freshest ingredients and hearty portions. Several mimosa options for those looking for a refreshing libation. Service was great and allowed us privacy to enjoy great conversation. They are pretty popular so be prepared to wait a few minutes for a table. Seatings is limited for outside dining, but inside or out, a great meal will be exactly what you're looking for. Our other friends that have eaten here always mention the same thing, takes time so don't when you are super hungry just enjoy yourself and come prepared with that in mind. My husband and I went to Eve's on Mother's Day to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Mother's Day and was extremely disappointed. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and wasn't too loud which was nice considering it was a holiday. Our server was nice but was not attentive to our table. The host took our initial drink order while seating us. We didn't see our server until he came to take our food order and we didn't see him again until he brought us our check at the end of the meal. Other staff members brought us our food and we had to flag down staff members to get refills of our drinks. To drink, my husband had coffee and I had strawberry kiwi mimosas. The coffee was fresh and hot. The mimosas were balanced, light, and refreshing. To eat, my husband had the Salmon Benedict, I had the Crab Benedict (special of the day which the server said they didn't have until I showed him the menu), and we split the Biscuits and Gravy. The Salmon Benedict was flavorful and filling. The salmon was slightly overcooked but that was easily overlooked because of the good taste. This Benedict came with potatoes that were cooked with onions and peppers. The potatoes were lukewarm at best, and were not edible due to the large amount of salt used on them. The biscuits and gravy were delicious. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The gravy was loaded with sausage and heavily seasoned. It did come out ice cold which was super sad as we have always loved the Biscuits and Gravy here. I had the Crab Benedict (special of the day which the server said they didn't have until I showed him the menu). This was a hot mess and cold. The dish was very sloppily put together. The poached eggs were tossed on the side not even on the top, one was extremely hard boiled and the other was broken. The hollandaise was more on the plate than the Benedict itself. The menu stated I got a choice of sides, but when I asked my server for the soup, he said there were no options and it came as is (with hash browns). When I showed him the menu just shrugged and walked away and didn't return until he dropped off the check at the end of our stay. I didn't touch the hashbrowns, but my husband had one bite before spitting them into his napkin because they were ice cold and extremely soggy. I will say the flavors in my crab Benedict were on point, which made me even more sad that so much was wrong with my plate. We have always enjoyed Eves Eatery and completely understand how busy Mother's Day can be for restaurants, however, being here to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary and Mother's Day was a complete letdown with the cold food, plates that were a disgustingly gross hot mess, a MIA server, and drink refills being a huge struggle. After this experience, we probably will take a break from here for a bit before returning and trying again. read more

Eve's is our go to breakfast spot in Carson. They have been open for a while now and have made themselves a staple in the community. The inside is decorated very nicely, mostly boho themed. They have a wide variety of drinks at the bar and offer lots of breakfast and lunch choices. They also have a cool to-go pasta dinner special. We always order the two egg breakfast and a few kids plates. The side order of biscuits and gravy is plenty and their biscuits are great. The portion sizes are enough to feed 2 on most plates! I had the Elias meal, eggs, bacon, toast, and tomatoes as they don't offer cottage cheese. The food was great and definitely fresh. But took 50 min to come out. Kinda long for a basic breakfast. Only advice, skip Sundays. So many people there it has a wait list. With only 2 people in our party it was short. 10 min to wait until a table was ready with full staff. The chairs are hard and kinda small, motivation to eat and go. A booth is the way to go. We came in last midweek, not busy and service was fast and good. In and out in 30 min. Today was 1hr 15 min. I've been to Eve's twice now. The first time I had the cacio e pepe, which was very tasty. Eve's makes their pasta from scratch and you can really taste the difference. This time around I got the Mother Earth salad which was incredible. It's what prompted me to leave this review. The puree and the giant ball of burrata and honey vinaigrette is an insane combo. Service was horrible. Our food took 45 minutes to come to the table after ordering. Our drinks were not refreshed once. We had to ask for condiments from 3 different waiters... all of them forgot and never brought what was asked for. After this we waited for our check for another 20 minutes. I am truly baffled by how many people seem to have accepted that to have "fresh" food made, you must expect 1hr+ wait times. Or that the food justifies those long wait times! The business model of this place is just ineffective and inefficient. We once walked in to be seated, the restaurant had plenty of open tables, and we got told they didn't have tables open and we'd have to wait like 30 minutes. We were like, oh! What about all those open tables...? And the hostess clarified that they can't actually fill the place to capacity because the wait times would be too long/it would overwhelm the staff. I've been to Eves several times, and the food is generally good. They have a cheesecake French toast that I really enjoyed! But it is not worth waiting an hour for. The longest I've waited at Eve's was actually over an hour and a half!! There is NO reason it should take that long to prepare our food, made fresh or not. I guess if people have never worked in the restaurant industry (or ever prepared food before), they don't realize that is just not normal or sustainable. I think people like this place because of the "vibe" and how Instagrammable it is (photo op spots included), which is fine. It's cute! But if you want yummy breakfast in a timely manner, Carson City has plenty of options that will suit your needs. read more

Returned with my teenage son & hubby. The Bloody Mary was great, and not overpriced. Carnitas tacos...yum! Loved the single tortillas that were cooked just right so they held together....hmmmm, and pickled red onion. My hubby wanted a light meal, so ordered the regular sized oxtail soup. He loved it, but wished it was in a bigger bowl. Picking meat off bones requires a little more real estate. The teen's burger was to die for; so much flavor from the patty.
