Came here after the ever so great Gardnerville wine walk. This restaurant is spacious and we were seated promptly. My friend and I settled up a veggie pizza and added chicken (went with fried- my choice) they were really busy for a Thursday evening, but it was definitely worth the wait! It was flavorful and well cooked. The menu has so many options and the happy hour sounds amazing I was telling my friend after this we should definitely check out the Reno location so, particularly for happy hour deals!

Pattie Melt, which I really wish they would've put on Rye not

Really is a greasy spoon. I know Pattie Mel is greasy, but this seemed extra greasy. And I wish it would be on Rye not sourdough Really slow service. Food was OK not great. Just so so.

I am torn on this restaurant. The Indian Taco was good. It was not a show stopper but it was solid. The Cesar Salad was sub par. The dressing was overpowered by the anchovies and it had a bit of spicy heat to it. It almost tasted like they used horseradish in their dressing. The Dill Pickle fries were breaded nicely, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly to a crispy golden brown. But, the pickle was sliced so thin it was almost nonexistent. Service was good. The price provided value for what you got. The ambience was average.

After years of wanting to have a good experience at Cook'd, David provided it. The food was good but his attentiveness, professionalism and generally kind interactions made dining an experience not just a meal. Hopefully this is a turning point for a historically "hit and miss" restaurant.

    More greasy fingers

Food was delivered, off of their website. The 50 order was 45 .minutes late and inedible. I reached out multiple times and never received a response. An apology would have been appropriate, at minimum. I provided photos of the food and my greasy fingers and limp fries.... absolutely disgusting

    Neat mixture/stuffing of the raviolis

We had to wait a while to be served. At one point my husband said to me "are they going to take our order?" 1 bar tender, 1 server, 1 hostess, 1cook, 1 dishwasher. However, there were only 6 tables of customers the ENTIRE time we were there (2 tables who were finished and paid their tabs). So, 4 tables. We ordered 1 app, 1 cocktail, 2 entrees. The cocktail and steak salad were good which is why I gave 2 stars. However, we were never given silverware or napkins. When the appetizer came I walked around the place looking for an employee so I could get silverware. I ended up finding them at the hostess station (no hostess). The raviolis are stuffed with pork/sausage and they were semi raw! I flagged down the server and showed him and he said "oh yeah." I said "You can get seriously sick eating undercooked raw pork." I watched as he went to the manager/bartender and I heard the manager say they were ok, it's made with "sausage." Yeah buddy, sausage should NOT be pink! So gross. No, I did not eat them. We were there for over an hour at this point! This was our 2nd attempt in 6 months. Not going back. The service was crappy and so was most of the food.

We checked out this place for lunch one day while visiting the area. First of all, our service was perfect. Thanks, Tony, for being there for every request and elevating our visit. We were there for the lunch special that includes Tuesdays. I had the two of the local IPA's and one of them I hadn't even had since being in town for a few days. Good selection. The wife got the Zughetti with Alfredo and the soup, and I got the half Bird chicken sandwich (the one that comes with alfredo) with the tomato soup. Our dessert with the special was a local banana pudding. Food was solid. The bar area looked fun, as it was packed with some regulars event. They have video poker at the bar. LOTS of TV's if looking to watch a game. I actually loved the venue. Whether looking for a nice lunch, needing to see a game, or just wanting to go somewhere with some energy, this is a great spot to stop at. We enjoyed our lunch there. I would recommend this place, and see you there (the next time we are in the area)...

I understand everything is hand made. Does that include the pasta?

Yes! The Pasta is hand made! Just went for lunch on Sunday. I had the Toasted Ravioli. It was the Bomb and definitely hand made. Best I have had since my early years on the Italian Hill in St. Louis Missouri.

However, I feel like my experience was actually really great because I don't have that context or comparison in the back of my head. The menu is on the smaller side, but I think that just allows them to specialize in the items they do offer. I got a tuna sandwich, which I don't usually eat, but loved it here! The mayo was well spread throughout the tuna and again on the bread. It was hearty and filling, which is exactly what I was looking for. Friends got a turkey club, and they both said it blew them away. No one left any crumbs. The inside if the market was well-stocked with fun ingredients and items that make time pass quickly as you wait for your food. Water, hot sauces, and napkins are all ample and provided both inside and outside. Pricing is reasonable; coming from the Bay Area, you can end up paying way more for way less, but here, I felt like we paid the right amount for the right thing. Would come again when visiting this area!

I stopped in at the Dart Beverage Center today after my workout at the nearby Kahle Community…read moreCenter. Continuing down Kingsbury, I made a right instead of a left (towards the Casinos), and there it is. As the alternative was a longer drive to BevMo, I was pleased to find this place. The exterior reminded me of those liquor stores that previously defined a border of which folks would drive across State lines to buy cheap booze. Those days (and cheaper prices) might be long gone. Inside Dart is a very impressive selection of alcohol, particularly wine and hard alcohol. Considering it's proximity of Edgewood, the Casinos, and the Lake, that's kind of expected, with some focused inventory like their impressive selection of Japanese whiskey. One whole wall is refrigerated beer and considering my fatigue around IPAs, I was happy to find my favorite US Belgian-style ale (Brother Thelonious) and a robust Porter from Schussboom (Reno). My only quibble was that Dart's selections seem to be a little pricey. But what does one expect within a resort area? Maybe Nevada is cheaper in other places, if I compare Dart to a similar establishment like Aloha Discount Wine & Liquors in Carson City or Battle Born in Gardnerville. At the same time, I was happy to find what I found at the right time and place.

Buyer beware- I may have just purchased a tampered or forged bottle from this retailer…read more I purchased a boxed bottle of Armagnac as a present for my mom. When I checked it out, the cashier quickly removed it from the box and then put it back in. I figured this was a standard procedure. When I got to my mom's five minutes later, we opened it and saw that there was a slit around part of the capsule. It was done so that the top of the capsule could hinge up, and the cork stopper could be removed, and everything could be pressed down and look "normal." We took it back immediately, within fifteen minutes of purchase. The cashier- an older man with a gray beard and strong attitude- accused us of making the slit ourselves and insisted he had shown me the bottle before purchase. While he had taken it in and out of the box, he did not demonstrate to me that the capsule was not tampered with. I'm not sure if the store purchased this from a wholesaler who is selling them forged goods, or whether this is happening in store, or they accepted a returned and tampered bottle. But they refused to exchange it for us, and were aggressive and rude. We have been loyal customers for years, and do not plan to return again.
