Came here after the ever so great Gardnerville wine walk. This restaurant is spacious and we were seated promptly. My friend and I settled up a veggie pizza and added chicken (went with fried- my choice) they were really busy for a Thursday evening, but it was definitely worth the wait! It was flavorful and well cooked. I am torn on this restaurant. The Indian Taco was good. It was not a show stopper but it was solid. The Cesar Salad was sub par. The dressing was overpowered by the anchovies and it had a bit of spicy heat to it. It almost tasted like they used horseradish in their dressing. The Dill Pickle fries were breaded nicely, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly to a crispy golden brown. But, the pickle was sliced so thin it was almost nonexistent. Service was good. They are capable of making a very good pizza. Extra sauce and baked crispy is the callout that can yield their best results. Cook'd loses the plot about half the time. The result is a doughy pie with an unpredictable amount of sauce and cheese. Service is consistently good. I may migrate to their other choices in search of their consistently good entree. read more

The first time I went it was just ok. I had the homemade ravioli it was a little tuff and hard to eat as it was served in a bowl. We had to wait a while to be served. At one point my husband said to me "are they going to take our order?" 1 bar tender, 1 server, 1 hostess, 1cook, 1 dishwasher. However, there were only 6 tables of customers the ENTIRE time we were there (2 tables who were finished and paid their tabs). So, 4 tables. We ordered 1 app, 1 cocktail, 2 entrees. The cocktail and steak salad were good which is why I gave 2 stars. However, we were never given silverware or napkins. When the appetizer came I walked around the place looking for an employee so I could get silverware. I ended up finding them at the hostess station (no hostess). The raviolis are stuffed with pork/sausage and they were semi raw! I flagged down the server and showed him and he said "oh yeah." I said "You can get seriously sick eating undercooked raw pork." I watched as he went to the manager/bartender and I heard the manager say they were ok, it's made with "sausage." Yeah buddy, sausage should NOT be pink! So gross. No, I did not eat them. We were there for over an hour at this point! This was our 2nd attempt in 6 months. Not going back. The service was crappy and so was most of the food. read more

We checked out this place for lunch one day while visiting the area. First of all, our service was perfect. Thanks, Tony, for being there for every request and elevating our visit. We were there for the lunch special that includes Tuesdays. I had the two of the local IPA's and one of them I hadn't even had since being in town for a few days. Good selection. The wife got the Zughetti with Alfredo and the soup, and I got the half Bird chicken sandwich (the one that comes with alfredo) with the tomato soup. Our dessert with the special was a local banana pudding. Food was solid. The bar area looked fun, as it was packed with some regulars event. They have video poker at the bar. LOTS of TV's if looking to watch a game. I actually loved the venue. Whether looking for a nice lunch, needing to see a game, or just wanting to go somewhere with some energy, this is a great spot to stop at. We enjoyed our lunch there. We went for our anniversary dinner Staff were friendly as always. Even though we had a reservation we didn't need it and were seated right away. We had the garlic chips, spicy turkey melt, and the penne bake. The garlic chips and turkey melt were on point. The Alfredo sauce was definitely the star of the bake. For having chicken and shrimp in this dish, you could blink and miss both. The dish was delicious, but when it came to the proteins there was minimal in my serving. Great experience at Cook'd. The food was wonderful and our waitress was great, but there was a limited number of wait staff to cover the crowd making service a bit slow. Three out of six of us had the Tahoe Burger which was delicious and huge and we had leftovers for the next day. The sauce on the chili verde was yummy, but unfortunately the pork was not slow roasted in the sauce making it a bit tough. The accompanying beans and rice were tasty. The Italian sausage pizza was worth the wait. Overall we had a great time and will come back again next time we are in town. read more

The lettuce was not sorted nor tended to as there was lots of brown ribs and black edges that required separating. The full soon became a half order. The chicken was dry, tough, stringy, and pounded to about 1/8" thickness. Must have been an old bird. We also ordered the toasted ravioli appetizer (4 for $15!) which came very hard and overcooked. They may have been 2 or 3 days old. I could not cut through them with a steak knife. The breading was thick and tasted like bread. Not much resemblance to a good pasta shell lightly breaded. We experienced Cook'd for the first time, and what a wonderful experience it was! The food was absolutely fabulous. Starting with the pickled fries for a delightful appetizer of which we were certainly not disappointed. They were far superior to any we had experienced before and was definitely a must to awaken your taste buds. For the main course our party ordered the penny pasta bake, hamburger and frys, salad and barbecue chicken pizza. We were all very pleased with our various dishes. Not only was the food beautifully presented but absolutely delicious. We completed our meal with the chocolate lasagna, a real treat for the palette. Next time, i'm going to try their banana pudding, which is one of my favorite desserts. Went to their new location on S Virginia St in Reno, had never been to a location prior. 10/10 experience. Went with my boyfriend, the atmosphere is beautiful with indoor/outdoor seating. Looking for something new other than Mexican or Chinese. Drive by Cook'd almost every day so thought I'd give it a try. I hadn't been in that building in almost 20 years and what a great job they did on the interior. It was busy in the bar area and got a table for two along a wall adjacent to the bar which was nice and quiet. Ordered the happy hour lemon drop and calamari appetizer and both were amazing. For dinner we each ordered a small pizza. The combo and the bbq chicken. The best pizza ever and I will be back!! I now have a new place to eat, just sorry I took so long to try it out. We were seated on the bar area, not by our choice, by a very nice gentleman. The first thing we both noticed was the stench of the place. It stinks in there like old beer. We placed our orders and as we were waiting we noticed the black and in some places, ripped carpet.We don't believe it was supposed to be black has we could see there was a lighter color around areas of no traffic. It took a considerable amount of time for our food to come out, since we were the only people there and we were very disappointed. We ordered their version of an artichoke dip with chips. It was just ok, it came in a skillet pan and neither the pan or the dip was hot, just warm. We also had the Ceaser salad with was overloaded with garlic, my husband suffered the consequences of eating the that the rest of the day into the evening. We also ordered the focaccia bread and gravy (red sauce). Nothing special about this and the gravy was way too spicy. We usually try to give a place a second chance but the bad smell and the extremely dirty carpet, we aren't going to chance what might be going on behind the wall of the bar back in the kitchen. read more

I ordered the Italian Fried Chicken. My first bite I had to spit out because I thought I had bitten into a huge piece of gristle. So I tried eating from different areas of the chicken , and every bite was like hard rubber. It was either undercooked or overcooked. It was inedible. I tried to content myself with the pasta, which was very good. But for $26 I thought it was at least worth mentioning it to the waiter. All I got from him was, "Oh, I'm very sorry." You would think for $26 they would at least TRY to make it right by replacing the chicken which only cost them a few dollars, but they did not. Otherwise, the service and ambiance were good. Even fast food restaurants will replace your order if it is not Cook'd correctly. This was only my second visit to Cook'd. Obviously I won't go back. Ever. read more
