My favorite lunch or dinner pick in GB. We end up here all the time and always leave happy. The Thai Brussels taco is my absolute favorite and the dip trip is a must have. I eat dairy and gluten free and I'm never without many delicious options here - and that's not something I can say about many places around here! Limeade is also killer! Did not have high expectations for a taco joint in Green Bay, WI but here we are, the tacos were great. I would characterize Vintage as a hip, local taco joint in the heart of Green Bay. Small location with a full bar available. Nice ambiance. As for the food, sampled a variety of tacos as well as their Nacho's 2.0 and the guacamole plate. For tacos, I tried the Chicago Asada, Brat Favre, Barbacola, and the Dirty Bird. Nachos were great with a combo of braised pork, chicken and beef topped with guacamole, queso and pick de gallo. Guacamole was solid but admittedly, I am a guacamole snob. Tacos were really good. Hard to pick a favorite but loved the Brat Favre w/ it's sauerkraut crema and Serrano mustard toppings. Based on other reviews + my experience, it obviously is the theme to have servers that don't have good attitudes. If they tightened up their service, it would be top notch. I recommend this restaurant. First the bad: Chips are not just plain chips. They have some kind of seasoning like a dorito. Also they a thinker style. I would much prefer thinner, more traditional simple chips. Service has a bit of an attitude. Just overall feel that the staff would rather be doing something else. I got a second glass of limeaid, thinking free refills, but was charged a second price. They weren't real pricey, so I didn't make a fuss, but would be nice to have been told that before hand. Dined here earlier while passing through Green Bay and honestly my worst restaurant experience. The ambiance in there is dreadful. Even with some people in there it just feels dead inside like it's about to go out of business any day now. It was as cold in there as it is outside. I carry a lot of allergies with me and when I mentioned them to our server, he said "it's just steak" and thats it. He was very passive aggressive and dismissed my allergies entirely like he didn't care at all. The tacos are flavorless and the tortilla might as well been hard shell with how stiff they were. My experience was so bad I was in and out spending a maximum of 15 minutes in there. Absolutely would never recommend this place to my worst enemy. Visited Vintage Cantina to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Obviously knowing it would be very busy. When we arrived we waited in the restaurant over by the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order drinks while standing, very rudely he told us we could not. As time went on people were clearing out and tables were opening, there was huge delay in when people would get sat when the table was opened. As two employees were standing by the food window, while two tables were open I asked the bartender if we could sit at our table. Again, he rudely gave me a mouthy no. Fast forward 10 more minutes and the table was actually ready. The bartender then sat us, threw the menus down and walked away..great way to start an experience. This is one of my favorite places food great, drinks great, ambiance exceptional, but with this whole experience it'll be very hard for me to want to come back. I understand it's hard and frustrating to work when it's a busy night and clearly understaffed, but being in food service that's something you have to deal with. Across-the-board just kicking ass and taking names! The two-man crew running the front of house were definitely in the trenches but refused to get caught in the weeds. What I find most impressive, outside of how absolutely delicious every single taco we tried was, was the focus and execution. A skeleton crew and I'm sure not by design as the Hospitality industry is treading water with the staffing shortage. This is an easy review...drinks were watery and need a lot of work. But the food was better than I ever thought to expect. I will admit that when it comes to Mexican food I'm an El Sarape and El Dorado (the best in Green Bay!) supporter. However, Vintage Cantina has a spot in my starting line up. Very inventive menu and each taco had its own unique flavor profile. Sometimes a Mexican food menu like this can become to Tex Mex for my taste or the flavors don't make sense. I have never met such rude people in my life that work in a restaurant. The bartender was VERY rude. Even telling people that if they wanted a drink while waiting for a table to go next door if they wanted a drink. Don't most restaurants make money on alcohol? And the male server, dressed in street close including a coat and cap, was just as rude. Yes, there were people waiting to sit but they were both incredibly rude to everyone. The Vintage version of street corn was rich, creamy and had a perfect amount of heat from the sriracha crema. For tacos I went Chicago asada, juicy Lucita, and Barbacola. Each one our doing each other for different reasons. House margarita is delish. As an avid tequila drinker the sauza is a great mixing tequila and the short glass makes it a tolerable amount of booze to mix. Service is friendly and food came out quick. I had super high expectations for this place and the photos and reviews made me even more excited! I'm from Chicago and we have some of the best food out there. Mexican food is definitely a favorite. I have to admit that I was a bit let down. We tried a House Margarita and the Paloma. Mine was okay and his was super weak and neither one had salt on the rim. Sounds silly but...they are margaritas. We tried the Vintage corn appetizer which was pretty good. Then we tried 6 tacos to get a variety of flavors. Everything looked yummy, but there was no real flavor and nothing tasted very fresh. The cilantro and onions were as fresh as it got. The seafood tasted a bit frozen and the beef was tough. We tried: Avocado Taco: avocado was brown and soggy Barbacola Taco: weird flavor and cold Brisket Taco: super tough and flavorless brisket chunk Baja Taco: pretty mediocre but better than the others Crab Rangoon special: I loved the crunch and cream cheese but the imitation crab was a bit soggy and frozen tasting I loved the look on the inside of the restaurant, but the wait staff watched us just stand in the front of the restaurant and assumed we knew we could sit wherever we wanted. We are from out of town and have never been here. Our waitress seemed super unenthusiastic to be there. Didn't strike me as someone who loves to work the service industry. I work for a company where customer service is our most important part of our job and we train our staff heavily on service aptitude. This is a small, trendy place. I walked in and it was packed on a Wednesday after work. All of the tables were full and most of the bar, but I squeezed in. The music is fun and the vibe is totally chill. My cocktail was served right away and the bartender was great. The tacos are amazing!! I had the duck confit special and the braised short rib taco. They were magic in my mouth. I also had the guacamole and the corn appetizer. Both were delicious and the corn is a "must get" for anyone. I read reviews about how amazing it is, and it did not disappoint. I ate the whole thing, almost licked the bowl clean. SO tasty. The hot salsa that I asked for was really good. It wasn't super hot, a little zing, but it was savory. I didn't have dessert because I was too full. Looking forward to trying more tacos! read more

Food is great and rate it a 5! Service is horrible especially if you have a party greater than 4 so it's a 0. It's a small space so they don't allow you to combine tables, and the server we had was rude. He intentionally ignored 4 of us and he knew we were a group of 8. While he was ignoring us the waitress took our other 4 and had their drinks and food order before our waiter would even acknowledge us. They didn't even acknowledge the people coming in the door. One couple left after they'd waited 5 minutes to get seated, weren't acknowledged and another party came in saw an open table and just walked past the couple and took an empty table. I'd definitely rate it higher if they accommodated a larger party, had a system in place that guaranteed you a seat (hostess / pager). It seems on par with what other reviewers have mentioned in previous posts. I guess my advice would be not to bring a party over 4. read more

I had a shrimp taco and a brat taco and both were wonderful. The bartender and servers were friendly. We stopped by Green Bay on our way to the Door County area, and Yelped and found this place. It's been a while now and I don't remember the details, but I know we enjoyed the food in the end. What I found annoying was that they have some rigid rules about the menu. For example, we wanted nachos, but wanted to substitute beans for beef. First the waitress told me she doesn't have beans. I called BS, because there were other menu items served with beans and I pointed that out to her and she's like... yeah, but we have a rule against substitutions. So i asked for beans on the side and she agreed to that. So weird. On the bill, they charged us full price for the nachos, even without the meat. To add insult to injury, they also charged for the beans. Why is someone going to go do that? Quite annoying. We didn't argue the charges or anything, but I wasn't happy about it. As I said the food overall was good. We had a bunch of tacos. What was strange there too was she was ok with us adding lettuce to the tacos. So that's ok? Anyway... It was a quick visit and we'll probably never go there again anyway. Who knows... read more

We dine here an average of once per week. Best tacos ever! Have the guacamole and chips before your tacos come out. Don't try and call them though, they don't have a phone. So pleased with my first visit to Vintage Cantina! Drinks ordered were great -- I had the Coconut Margarita, which is made with rum instead of tequila, and I was a huge fan. The coconut was nowhere near overpowering (it definitely did not taste like sunscreen, as some coconut-flavored things do), and mixed with the taste of lime, it was a perfect combination. Would definitely get again. My friend had the house margarita and liked it as well. As for the tacos -- WOW! The one we liked the most was the Avocado taco -- it has fried avocado, beans, salsa, cheddar, and ranch crema. I really liked the crunchiness of the *fried* avocado. My second favorite was the BBQ -- smoked pork shoulder w/ Dr. Pepper BBQ, slaw, and cheddar. I loved how the taco truly tasted smoky, it was so good! My third taco was the Pastor, Vintage Style -- pineapple marinated pork served with salsa roja, guac, and pickled corn. It wasn't bad by any means, but I don't think I'd get this one again. Just eh. My friend had the Chicken Bacon Ranch and said it was good! While other restaurants like this may serve rice and beans with their entrees, I honestly liked how Vintage didn't include the sides. Rather, they let the tacos shine on their own and take the spotlight! I was much happier to be perfectly full with my three tacos instead of feeling too full if I would have been given rice and beans to eat on the side too.
