TASTY BREAKFAST BURRITO STOP w/ a BREAKFAST BUFFET! Yes, you heard that correctly! Vintage Grocers has incredible breakfast burritos (all-meat, veggie). The store also has a breakfast buffet with waffles, eggs, sausage, and SO much more. These folks up in Malibu have it GOOD lolol. Vintage Grocers is a trendy market with essential grocery items like milk, bakery items, etc. I even spotted a COFEE BAR INSIDE called Swaggy P's. The dude at the register told us we could pay for burritos at his coffee bar register but all other items (breakfast buffet, etc.) need to be checked out at the main registers located at the front of the store. He was the friendliest of the store's crew. Everyone else was a bit shifty and a little stuck-up. The store no longer allows customers to use the restrooms, we tried to use them but alas it wasn't meant to be and I was kind of disappointed. Overall, I like coming here because the food options and grocery items are always reliable. Parking is easy and the store is never really packed in the mornings. NOTE: Vintage Grocers is located in the Trancas Shopping Plaza.

Food at night was not good at all compared to breakfast. Such dry and old tasting food

Nice grocery store in an upscale shopping area next to Christie's and Malibu brewing Company. I enjoyed eating from the hot bar; they also have a poke bar. The steak and chicken were a little tough likely overcooked, but I enjoyed the veggies and the ziti. They have a nice seating area outside where you can bring your dog. Groceries a bit on the expensive side, but well worth the nice clean interior service and the shopping experience and the location most of all. If you're camping at thornhill broome, sycamore canyon, Leo Carillo (they have their own beach store) this is a great location

A trendy 'health food' store owned by a WalMart heiress catering to wealthy Malibu types who have more money than sense. Rude staff and insane prices. I even saw they had a notice posted by the door that they were fined for overcharging people! Don't give them your money, Pavilions is just down the road.

Hot breakfast food. Service is fast and workers are lovely. Good jams playing on the loud speaker. Tables and chairs outside. The juice bar and coffee bar are awesome. Choices are not your average drinks. They have smoothies and fun tasting lattes. Parking is easy - connected to the same lot as Starbucks.

We started with the steak tartare, which was probably the best tartare we've ever had. The butcher's bread nearly stole the show--we ordered two of them and will absolutely be coming back just for the bread. For entrées, I ordered the 12-ounce thick-cut New York Wagyu. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and ranks among the best New York steaks I've ever had. We also ordered the 30-day dry-aged bone-in ribeye, which had an incredible nutty, buttery flavor and was equally impressive. The oysters were outstanding--fresh, clean, and exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant owned by a team known for doing seafood right. My daughter ordered the meatballs, which were also delicious. A nice bonus: they offer complimentary corkage for the first bottle, so I brought a French red that paired beautifully with the steaks. Overall, Ocean exceeded our expectations. Outstanding food, great atmosphere, attentive service, and a comfortable noise level that made conversation easy. We will definitely be back.

If you were having a special occasion, we would go to three or more different places to order the catering. I consider myself, not an expert but a decent judge of authentic Italian food. This is the spot I choose for meat lasagna and for their meatballs. I haven't tried anything else yet. We ordered their meat lasagna for a birthday party. We picked it up on Saturday afternoon at 3PM exactly when they said it would be ready. They wrote the directions on top of the cover and we followed them exactly as written. The lasagna was so good that our guests were all pleased. Many asked where we got it. I was proud to tell them I'd made the right choice by going the extra mile to Italia deli. We had 20 guests, everyone had a piece and some of our friends took a couple pieces home. We still had leftovers to put in the freezer. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I'm looking forward to going there for a whole meal so I can bring back the comfort of real Italian home cooking.

We made reservations to dine inside and the food was great. Big portions so we all had leftovers to take home. The service was great and the property feels like you're so far into the mountains. We had great music provided by local musicians, who play for tips so if you want to support them, bring cash! I would come again but this time dine outside and so I can sit under the trees and watch the beautiful peacocks. They have tons of outside seating. We had sourdough bread, broccoli salad, wine, brown ale, half chicken with salad and loaded bake potatoe, fish special, and bone in steak with salad and bake potatoes. Get over the 28% gratuity, it's to provide a living wage. I recommend any of their smoked meats like the sandwich and BKT and if course the cinnamon rolls. The only drag here can be the motor cycles and sports cars who have the need to rev needlessly. This is the sole reason it's not 5 stars. This would be a great place for police to hang out on weekends to clean up the douchery to fund fire abatement. The rip down the streets and generally add an unpleasant experience, but the food trumps it. Great place despite the unpleasantness from the few.
