From the time we stepped in and was greeted by the friendly hostess to the time we left, we were genuinely pleased with the staff here. I ordered the Tasting Menu and my hubby ordered French Onion Soup, Oscar Stryle & Prime Rib from their main menu. TASTING MENU: Amuse Bouche (watermelon gazpacho shooter): Refreshing way to awaken the palate. (5 of 5) Seared Sea Scallops (seared scallops, honey dijon aioli, citrus caviar beurre blanc): The crisp, caramelized crust of the scallops opens up to a luxurious naturally sweet and juicy interior. The scallops had depth of flavour, and the citrus shines through. It's buttery without any fishiness. The asparagus pieces were cooked through but still maintain its crunch. Everything works on this plate. (5 of 5) Chef Victor (sic) Pan Roasted Salmon (seared salmon preserved lemon beurre blanc, salmon chicharron, dill oil): The fish was beautifully seasoned and the sauce complemented the fish. What a perfect match - lemon beurre blanc and dill oil. The topper was bland but the sauce makes up for it. I could lick up the sauce - it's that good. (4.75 of 5) Chef Eli (sic) Filet Mignon (7 oz sliced filet mignon steak, carrot puree, oyster mushrooms, bordelaise sauce, crispy parsnip): A good filet mignon should melt-in-your-mouth because it comes from the softest, lean meat cut. My medium rare order was nearly there but the meat arrived cold. The carrot puree is vibrant in color - has a smooth, naturally sweet, earthy taste, and balanced perfectly with the meat. The mushrooms were over salted but was helped by the sweet smooth carrot puree. The cold meat brought an otherwise perfect score down. (4.5 of 5) Chef Jose (sic) White Chocolate Mousse (callebaut belgium white chocolate mousse filled with raspberry gel on top of a sacher torte sponge with fresh raspberries and chantilly cream): When I think of chocolate mousse, I think delicate, light, airy, cloud-like melt-in-your-mouth yumminess. This didn't have that. The dome was a hard shell. Though the presentation aced on this dessert, the texture and flavour did not quite live up to its name. (3.5 of 5) French Onion Soup: This is the ultimate comfort food. It offers a bold harmony of sweet, caramelized onions and rich, savoury beef broth, crowned with a thick layer of gooey, toasted cheese. Very satisfying. (5 of 5) SURF n TURF: Prime Rib 12 oz: The medium rare meat was beautiful to look at but not quite as brilliant to eat. Overall, this is a tasty dish but was quite chewy. They aced the sauce. (4.25 of 5) Oscar Style Crab: The Oscar-style crab béarnaise sauce combines the sweet, flaky texture of crabmeat with a warm, velvety French emulsion of butter, egg yolks, and herbs. It's luxurious, rich flavour is complex and decadent but balanced. Great harmony. So indulgent! (5 of 5) Our server, Steven is amiable but not in your face, which we truly appreciate. Steven radiates warmth and good-natured charm. (5 of 5) We were seated at a table but changed our seating to bar-side. They have an open-kitchen concept. From there, we could see who's cooking our meal and watch the seamless quiet communication and the care each chef takes in presenting the dishes. Sam, who worked on the salads was friendly and truly a genius in balancing the different textures and flavours together. (5 of 5) The complimentary bread came warm and tasted fresh. Courtney was the hostess and we really appreciate her accommodation. The steakhouse had an open kitchen and dining room was dimmed and very lovely We started with a raspberry lemon drop and a glass of red. For appetizers we ordered: Crab Cakes: 9/10 yummy but wished it was portioned for 2 French onion soup: 10/10, rich but not overwhelming. Delicious! Caesar Salad: 8/10, should have asked for dressing on the side For entrees: Tomahawk: 8.5/10 delicious and enjoyed the steak sauce Bone in ribeye: 9/10, solid, should just order 2 but the tomahawk was a must after a good night at the slots Sides: 10/10 garlic mash, good flavor not overwhelming 10/10 Onion Fries 8/10 risotto, good flavor and really enjoyable for non risotto eating people They ran out of the brussel sprouts Admittedly me and my boo tend to be over order-ers, but leftovers were great! I went to have dinner for my birthday on Saturday night and I have no words for how amazing this experience was. My server, Heather, was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. She had great recommendations and answered all my questions. She was very kind and attentive, and brought me a sweet little birthday dessert. She truly made this whole experience for me! Now the ribeye special, that left me speechless. The cowboy butter on the ribeye was amazing with the potatoes and aioli. I was sad to hear it's not a permanent item on the menu, I would love to come back to eat that again. Nonetheless I will be back to try something else. First visit to this establishment it was recommended by my physical therapist. The restaurant was very nice clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The seating had a chair or bench / booth arrangement I sat in the booth / bench and remained comfortable throughout the evening. I mention this because I am disabled and suffer from chronic back pain and sustaining comfort while seated over time can be somewhat difficult. My family members ordered the Escargot as the appetizer and they loved it I'll be honest I have tried escargot once before and did not like it. For the main course my family members decided on sharing the Chef Tasting. First Course: Seafood Cioppino. Second Course: Lobster Tail Thermidor. Third Course: Filet Mignon Diane. And desert was: Gateau Saint Honore. I ordered the 16 oz Prime Rib with the Yukon Garlic Mashed Potatoes. My family absolutely loved their meal nothing but smiles which made me happy because they were my guests and this was a birthday dinner and I wanted them to be happy. My steak was huge I knew the moment I saw it I was going to need a take home container. It was also good size serving of mashed potatoes and they tasted fantastic. From the time I ordered my steak until the time it was served a hour and twenty minutes passed. If this was a top tier steak I would not even mention it but I would not call my portion prime beef it was a choice / select cut of beef because the marbling and tenderness just wasn't there. I don't want to completely discredit what I was served because the flavor was excellent it's just that it was a bit tough. Drinks came out fast and our server was honestly the sweetest, super attentive all night. We tried Vintage Steakhouse this last Saturday. I recommend making a reservation in advance. Everyone was so sweet and friendly! The restaurant itself is lovely and clean. I love the open kitchen. And the food, yum! The bread and butter was good but not great (great flavor but a little hard). My husbands steak was delicious, ginormous and perfectly cooked. My dad loved his clam chowder & crab cake (good enough to be worth the price considering you only get one cake). And my roasted chicken and veggies were fantastic (perfectly cooked & seasoned with the only issue being the carrots were slightly hard/undercooked). The mashed potatoes were a little gummy but we still ate them up! And the dessert...the Elderberry Cheesecake was phenomenal! Zero notes on that dessert, one of my favorite cheesecakes ever. We had a party of 8 and were sat promptly. The service was professional and very accommodating throughout our visit. Our server, Grant, was gracious and helped navigate the menu. There was another employee, Veronica, who was super attentive and accommodating. Loved her! The food was delicious. The wedge salad was crisp with hearty bacon pieces. Our last experience 3 weeks ago was really 0 stars, but I'm giving it 3 because it's usually always 5 stars and I pray this last experience was just a miss. A 1 off. We were ready to order by the time the first person stopped by. But he wasn't our server. Our server had 2, 6 tops so he was pretty busy. Soups and salad came in a good time. But when I started wondering if they had forgot about our dinner I got up and went to the bathroom and on my way saw my prime rib with bake potato (we were sharing) sitting in the expo window. On my way back, still there. The potato was so cold when the food got to me that the butter didn't even melt. The steak was room temp despite the pint of au jus they poured on the plate to try to heat it back up. I was very discouraged at this point and put my debit card on the table. The guy ran the card and when he came back I realized I didn't put down my players card too for the discount and asked him if he could fix it. He said, well I already ran your debit card I'm sorry. I really felt like more of an inconvenience to this elderly man that was my server. Maybe he was just having an off day, but usually for our anniversary they bring out a little desert or something. I think it's our 3rd time celebrating there (out of 5). But on this night there was no dessert. There was no over the top urge to go back. Had the opportunity to visit the Vintage Steakhouse At Chuckchansi Casino and to be fair I had the Mary's Roasted Chicken, wedge salad and also sampled the green beans and crab cakes. Now all these were good the staff were friendly, pleasant and the wait staff were very attentive. The interior is ok comfortable, the kitchen area is viewable from the dining area which is distracting unless you are tuck away in a booth or sitting at the bar. Going here as a vegetarian would be a huge missed steak! ... *crickets* anyway, we've been meaning to try Vintage for a while! Some of the other reviews here have been saying it's up and down, this is our first visit so I'll be basing this entirely off our first time. Our visit had a somewhat inauspicious start as we couldn't get a reservation on open table, but the hostesses helped us to get in and we were seated in about ten minutes. Now, it's important to remember that Vintage is in a casino, a smoking casino, and while not as strong as on the gambling floor, the smell of smoke was pervasive even within the restaurant, stifling and never completely dissipating even once we were nestled in our almost too-dark booth. This may bother some, but I'm a troglodyte so I felt right at home. We were immediately poured water and brought bread by the wait staff, and introduced to our server, Brett was extremely knowledgeable about ingredients and made excellent recommendations, and overall I have nothing but good things to say about our service. We ordered the buttermilk prawn and shishito pepper appetizer, which was *AMAZING* maybe the best thing we ate all night, absolutely recommend. We also had a salad to start off with, roasted pears, a sweet possibly balsamic based sauce, with candied walnuts, blue cheese and the eponymous roasted pears. This was also fantastic and perfectly balanced, absolutely recommended. Now, for the main course we decided we wanted to take on the flagship featured main course, the 40 ounce traumahawk, I mean tomahawk ribeye, we ordered some accoutrements including the lobster mac, scalloped potato, and creamed spinach. Let me start off by saying, the tomahawk was good, not great but good. An aged steak like that should explode with flavor, it was pretty solid but nothing incredible. It was also undercooked and served noticeably cold. It was ordered medium rare and was served rare, with portions nearing blue. Obviously part of the advertised 40 ounce weight was bone but once it was pared of the fat and bone it was a pretty meager portion for $140 dollars, won't be doing that one again. The bone being a solid 10 ounces alone. The lobster macaroni and cheese was EXTREMELY rich which isn't necessary a bad thing, but it was noticeable. It had TONS of flavor and I'm pretty sure it had several different cheeses, I'm guessing egg yolk and what tasted and seemed to me like bacon grease. It was amazing, but oh boy it was filling. The scalloped potato had decent flavor but it was not at all what I was expecting to order, it was basically a square of potato which was cooked nice and crispy on the outside, sliced thinly and permeated with some kind of jus. But it didn't have any sauce on the plate to speak of, it did have flavor but if you're expecting an au gratin, or a dauphinoise you'll be very disappointed. Not bad for what it was, but it wasn't what I had in mind. Definitely the low point of the meal. The creamed spinach was very well done, nice and creamy with very fresh spinach used, if you're a creamed spinach fan you won't be disappointed! After the meal our server brought my grandmother, who was turning 82, a little dessert surprise which was very nice of them, the wait staff helped to box up the leftovers that we had, and we went on our way. (I'm now aware of the leftover lobster Mac in the fridge and am excited) Overall I wanted to give Vintage a 5* but I just can't. There are really no excuses that can be made, this is a no holds barred steakhouse, inside a casino or not, and their menu is priced as such. So things like our steak being cold, the smoke smell from the gambling floor, every item on their menu is ala carte. The major one being the steak. Either way, this adds up to a 4* review for me, and while I would go back, I'd definitely order differently! The definite standouts for me are the roast pear salad, and the shishito prawns, I'd come back for those any day of the week and twice on Sunday . You could eat one of those sides as an entree solo as well! In all if you're in the area and looking for a nice meal, consider Vintage! Our waiter Nick was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He came well prepared with honest feedback and recommendations on each item before we ordered. The appetizers we ordered were delicious. The pork belly was cooked in a dynamic and dreamy sauce. Our table also ordered the calamari, but I'm not a big fan so I won't comment. For our mains, we ordered the Prime rib and Filet minion with three shareable sides. The sides were Maple Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and cream of spinach. The cream of spinach was creamy and cheesy and all the sides were enjoyable and large portions that our party of 4 was able to share generously. Unfortunately, my Filet minion was ordered medium and came out rare in the middle. Our waiter noticed before I had to say a work and the restaurant quickly remedied the situation. They took it back to correct the temperature and comped my steak. As an apology, they also gave us a complimentary dessert. (See chefs cheesecake in photos) The only bump we had was the temperature on my filet being under done, but we did not expect them to take care of us like they did when they realized it. My husband and I finally got to try this place for our first date night in over a year. The ambiance was nice.... It was pretty dark so couldn't really read the menu. The service was 3 out of 5. We waited in the front for about 20 mins before we were seated( we had reservations) then when we got seated it took about 20 mins before we even got our drinks. Our server wasn't very friendly until towards the end ( maybe because he wanted a good tip... which we always leave 20%) Food: 3 out of 5 and the only reason I say 3 is because of the entree. I order the chicken and it was pretty good. Not awwww man this is amazing but it was good. And my husband got the surf and turf. The filet and lobster were pretty good. The filet had a great crust on the edges and the spices they use were excellent. Now the appetizers and sides weren't that great They were probably 1 out of 5. The baked potatoes was just 2 small potatoes put together and lit was cold and looked like it was sitting under a heathland or something because the cheese looked old. The green beans were hard. Seemed like they were raw. The marinade for the green beans were good but we didn't even eat them. The salad was a basic Caesar nothing really special about it. And the calamari was over cooked. Really tough and chewy. For the amount of money they charge for a high end restaurant, you'd think it would be a little better. Other than the meat everything else wasn't great. The mashed potatoes were terrible... over-whipped and sticky like glue. Recently went again for a celebration with my S/O, I opted for the filet mignon as I never had it before, and as usual mushroom risotto and asparagus. Unfortunately we had a bit of hiccup with how the steak was cooked, but even then it was still tender which honestly I was surprised and perfectly seasoned. Our waitress was sweet enough to make up for the hiccup as I personally decided not to send it back. Absolutely great customer service and will for sure be coming back. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and he even remembered things we had ordered from the first time we dined there. The service in the dining room was absolutely impeccable. Great service and high quality food! Crazy expensive, so be prepared to drop serious $$$. We started with complimentary bread and butter, and then had Escargot and a Ceaser Salad and both were mouth-wateringly good. The Escargot is heavy on the butter, but oh so rich. I'd order that Caesar Salad again every day it was so good. Overall, the food has quite a bit of butter, which is probably why it's so delicious. We both ordered Surf and Turf, which is a Six Ounce Filet plus an Eight Ounce Lobster Tail, and here's a hot tip: you can get entree toppers! I got mine "Oscar Style" and it came with divine Jumbo Lump Crab, Asparagus, and Béarnaise Sauce on top of the steak. My friend got the torched Gorgonzola and loved it. That was the best steak I've had in a very very long time, just absolutely delicious and tender beef filet. We ordered 4 sides with our meat...and really didn't need any, it was already so much food. So tip for others out there: 2 entrees plus one appetizer and one salad or a side to share is plenty for two people. But since we got 4 sides, I'll review them all! Parmesan risotto - yum! Would order again for sure. Roasted cauliflower almandine - perfectly tender, very good. Smoked cheddar scalloped potatoes - came in a cool square, very good. Maple sugar crispy Brussels sprouts - so tasty but super heavy on the sauce. I'd scoop the sprouts out of the sauce next time do they don't lose their Crispín was and get mushy and overly soaked in syrup too fast. The restaurant is right off the casino gaming floor. Get a reservation, online is easy. There's no internet or service in the restaurant in purpose, so mingle with your group and enjoy the experience! read more

We had the honor of sitting in the bar area as you enter the restaurant. We usually don't look at this space but thought we would stop in. We had a great treat with Matthew behind the bar. It was refreshing to say the least. The atmosphere was great, the wait staff stopped in and mingled as well. The ambiance was very nice, but not pretentious, you could come dressed casually. The smoke from the casino does carry over a bit inside the restaurant although not as strong but still a bit off putting. The service was great, we had a sweet gentleman, I believe his name was Ron, he really made our meal feel so special. We had our three young kids with us yet he was still so sweet and made us feel so welcome. We got served warm bread with butter right away and were brought another basket without having to ask. The wine was delicious and went well with the food. My husband wasn't a fan of the calamari but I thought the sauces were quite good. The lobster Mac and cheese was HUGE and I was impressed with how much lobster meat came with it! I had the salmon with fingerling potatoes. It was ok, I feel like it could have used a bit more flavor/salt and the sauce it came with was almost too buttery/rich, super rich but also bland at the same time. My husband got the surf and turf, he said the lobster was great but the steak just ok. Ehhhhhhh!! Was really looking forward to this birthday dinner BUT... Staff were really nice. Came in for my wife's 61st birthday. Unfortunately Her steak (bone in ribeye) was super tough and not Medium rare more like medium well. Brocollini had way tooooooo much Garlic (I mean ALOT) and the mushroom risotto was very bland and soupy. Ambiance was ok. Took forever for plates to be removed and a refills on water. Waitress was a 9/10 out of 10. We could see her working her butt off and heard her arguing with who ever about the return of the steak. Sorry cook it right next time. Great service. Big portions. The wedge salad was enough for 4 people. Wet & dry blue cheese. Crispy lettuce. Got the surf & turf. Lobster was excellent. 12 oz filet was over cooked & a little tough. I expecter a filet to melt in my mouth. Broccoli was tough. Nice private booth. read more
