Big bowl of Saturday morning menudo!

Delicious breakfast in coarsegold Ca, they were serving up Saturday morning menudo. So good! All the fixings and tortillas. Service was great, a wonderful addition to Coarsegold.

From the first day, I walked to the doors. I've had nothing but good food service, and atmosphere..

This place feels like a rare little jackpot: warm, genuinely friendly service that makes you want to linger, food that hits the "just one more bite" level of delicious, portions generous enough to share (or not, no judgment), and prices that somehow still feel like a steal.

Super aromatic and tasted even better since you can see them pulling the espresso shot. My friend's lavender latte was delicious. First floral note giving away to an excellent latte. They know their stuff here. We loved the staff here. Very friendly and helpful, I loved complimenting the baristas on their craft and passing along the cheerfulness from the cashier who was very welcoming. They were very methodical and consistent with each drink, it seems. The shop was cute, with ample parking. The patio was busy-ish with people flocking in and out to pick up their orders once their name was called. I liked the combination of rustic and modern decorations, making for AN EXCELLENT stop before heading in or out of Yosemite. This coffee is worth going out of the way for since you will be leaving very happy after pleasant interactions and a deliiiiiicious coffee. 10/10!

Very disappointing experience. Our family ordered a few…read moredrinks: oat milk lattes, an herbal tea, and a matcha with vanilla for our 9-year-old. Unfortunately, the quality was far below expectations. The coffee had a noticeably salty, unpleasant taste, and the matcha was extremely bitter with no trace of vanilla at all. We order this same drink regularly at other cafés, so we know what it should taste like--this was not it at all. It was also far too strong for a child, despite specifically asking for it to be kid-friendly. When I politely brought this up, I was surprised by how it was handled. I simply asked to add a little vanilla for it to taste better. Instead of offering to remake the drink or find a solution, I was told I would need to purchase a new one. I rarely ever ask for drinks to be redone, but this one was genuinely undrinkable. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff. The response felt dismissive and unprofessional, particularly from an employee named DJ. The interaction left us feeling unwelcome and unheard. Overall, poor quality drinks and disappointing customer service. We won't be returning.

This would be a great place to study or relax. They also have a sunny outdoor patio. I visited during Memorial Day Weekend, so it was expectedly packed. We waited awhile to order and pick up our food/drinks. The walls showed a range of very cute merch. The food was a bit pricey, which we expected given this tourist location. However, the portions were generous. The breakfast sandwich and acai bowl were both solid, classic brunch items. We also all enjoyed our drinks. The matcha was nice and strong, and there was a lovely cream top. I'd definitely visit this cafe again when I come to Bass Lake!

Hands down the BEST caramel macchiato with oat milk I've ever had -- and I've tried a lot. Somehow it's perfectly balanced every single time. The whole experience is just so cute and welcoming. I love the vibe inside with all of the plants, and walking up to the fresh flowers and greenery outside instantly makes it feel special before you even walk through the door. It's one of those places that just feels good to be in -- great coffee, beautiful atmosphere, and all the little details make it memorable. Only thing to know: sometimes there can be a bit of a wait, so maybe don't stop in if you're in a huge hurry... but if you have the time, it is 100% worth it. Love everything about this place and already looking forward to my next stop back in Bass Lake

It's the kind of place where the coffee is strong, the portions are hearty, and the Second Amendment is very much alive and well -- possibly laminated and framed near the register. The steak and eggs are a rite of passage. No frills, no avocado garnish, just straight-up protein power for whatever wilderness adventure (or political debate) lies ahead. The décor leans more "hunting lodge realism" than "Instagrammable brunch spot," and honestly, that's the charm. It's a locals' spot through and through, where everyone knows your truck, your dog's name, and probably how many tags you've filled this season. Steve's is less café, more Mariposa institution -- a hearty, proudly unfiltered spot where breakfast comes with gravy, grit, and a side of freedom. Bring your appetite, your flannel, and maybe your best tall tale.

My boyfriend and I work remotely and travel around the country full-time, so finding places like this that genuinely make us feel at home means so much to us. BJ is always so welcoming, and today we had the pleasure of meeting his son, Birk. You can really tell this is a family business that cares deeply about its customers and the community they've built. The coffee is consistently excellent, and we've tried several of their food options--everything has been delicious.
