Vinyl is a live music venue I was excited to try in a building the used to house an Applebee's, and a Bookbinders before that. When I arrived I sat at the crowded bar as a country singer was performing. She was actually pretty good, but the bar area was so loud it was impossible to just sit back and enjoy the music. The bartenders were very attentive and made excellent drinks. The Let The Devil In cocktail was a good take on the moscow mule. All the food is half price for happy hour. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, the baked potato pierogies, and the margarita flatbread. The shrimp were small and bland and came with ketchup instead of a cocktail sauce. The pierogies did not taste handmade like they were described. The margarita flatbread was the only good dish. I was glad I was only paying half price for the food. Vinyl was disappointing. I may be showing my age, as the crowd was mostly younger than me, but the noise level was disrespectful to the artist performing in my mind. I couldn't enjoy the music and I did not enjoy most of the food. Vinyl is a one and done for me.

    Kevin's creation !!

Always the place to go for drinks/dancing !! Love the place , the music always on point and the most important part of all is the bartenders hehe Kevin was our bartender that night and he made the most unique and amazing drinks ..!! Kevin has such a vibe, always smiling , and very helpful when you have no freaking idea what to drink..!! I recommend this place 100% !!! I will definitely be back ...

Food and drinks are amazing! Overall a great place to dance and catch up with some friends.

Venue is so small and I was basically next to the stage while waiting for the super long bathroom line ..

Heard this place just opened up in cc so decided to check it out with some friends around 12 am on a Sat night. Probably the worst club in Philly that I've been to. They had "special" guest charging $20/person cover throughout the night, and they definitely did not sound like special guests .. venue is SUPER SMOL and was super crowded so obviously the bathroom line was long, with a bunch of kids trying to cut in line, which made the line even longer since there were only ~2-3 stalls working. Overall it was the house music and the crowd that really threw me off, yall can try it out yourself but I'd rather go to blind barber (free) or concourse or NOTO for this price and better music.

Cool vibes. Slow start to a Thursday but the drinks are delicious and the crowd is picking up as the night goes on. Fun place. Missed John Legend passing through !!!!

What a cool venue! This place has an interesting vibe for sure. My friend's band was performing there. They had an area available in front of the stage so people could dance to the beats. The place has a couple VIP areas around the dance stage, as well as, a couple located a bit away. The place also turns into a nightclub after a certain hour which was a very weird transition. It went from us being able to sit at the VIP table for the concert to being told we had to buy 2 bottles in order to keep our seats. Overall this place is pretty cool to check out if you like a nightlife or live music.

Is this maybe the best upscale happy hour in Philly. Amazing drinks, and $10 cocktails at happy hour with top shelf liquor. The food is also half off during happy hour and the flatbreads are big enough to share. Wednesday Vinyl Voice is our favorite night, you get amazing live music and you get to vote. Seats at the bar are in my opinion the best for service, and the bartenders are always very nice and attentive.

I saw some nice appetizers and chose a sandwich as well. I started with the Artichoke Hummus with Feta and Grilled Focaccia - it was excellent! Large chunks of artichoke with the creamy hummus and little balls of feta were such a great combination. However, it was the Grilled Focaccia that brought the spread to its peak. Light and slightly crunchy it was so delicious with the hummus! Next up, the Pistachio Herbed Ricotta with Lavender Honey Bruschetta. I took my first bite started to chew and had to close my eyes as I was transported to a 'heavenly' taste. The pistachio with the creamy ricotta was amazing, and with the lavender honey, it was over the top. I told the server it could be a dessert as well! After two great appetizers, I was really looking forward to my 'main dish' - the Smoked Chicken Sandwich with Cabot Cheddar, fresh tomato and arugula, and a truffle herbed aioli (I opted out of the bacon). I took a bite and of this thick smoked chicken breast with a fabulous aioli dressing and was delighted it was every bit as delicious as the appetizers! The chicken was tender complimented by the cheese, tomato and arugula-but I had the dressing come on the side and found myself adding more and more, it was so good! What a gem in Center Cjty - it's a must try!

Sure, there has been the occasional hiccup here and there, but that's simply the reality of the service industry. What matters is that the overall experience has been consistently excellent, and over time I've come to know and appreciate many members of your team. My most recent visit, however, reminded me exactly why I keep coming back and fully reaffirmed my ongoing state of Barcelona Bliss. I recently made reservations for myself and a friend to celebrate his birthday. Wanting to guarantee a great evening, there was really only one choice: Barcelona. As an added bonus, I had attended UNCORKED and was fortunate enough to win an extra prize along with my free tapas button: a $100 credit toward a bottle of wine. From the moment we walked through the door, the evening was off to a great start. We were greeted by Elliot, my favorite person at Barcelona. I've always found him to be welcoming, attentive, personable, and genuinely funny. In fact, he was one of the original reasons we became regulars. When he first served us, he combined exceptional service with an engaging personality that made every visit feel special. As always, he was on top of everything and even made a point of wishing my friend a happy birthday. I could spend pages describing the food, service, and atmosphere, but I'll spare you my rambling. Suffice it to say, the evening was exceptional. Every member of the team seemed committed to making sure we had a memorable experience. Whether it was the thoughtful suggestion to combine our table with another when our growing collection of tapas and wine began to outgrow the available real estate, the delightful sommelier, a funny and attentive blonde woman whose name I unfortunately can't remember, who guided us to the perfect bottle, or our server, who never missed a beat and seemed to anticipate every need before we could ask, every member of the team contributed to making the evening truly special. The 2024 Gessamí was an inspired recommendation and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the night. Fragrant and beautifully balanced, with notes of jasmine, citrus, and ripe stone fruit, it was vibrant, refreshing, and paired wonderfully with our seemingly endless parade of tapas. The entire experience was lovely, fun, memorable, and genuinely impressive. While I unfortunately can't remember the names of either the sommelier or our server, that is in no way a reflection of their service. If anything, it simply highlights the shortcomings of my memory. Their attentiveness, professionalism, warmth, and contributions to the evening certainly did not go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated. This visit reminded me exactly why Barcelona has become such a favorite destination. Time and again, you deliver the perfect combination of outstanding food, exceptional wine, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both exciting and comfortable at the same time. While Barcelona Wine Bar is certainly a great name, in my mind it will always be known as my Barcelona Bliss.

We sat outside, and I actually never even saw the inside of the restaurant, but outside is great if you like people watching and the weather is nice. We had a lot of questions, and our server was super helpful and patient, and even went so far as to mark all the vegan options on the menu for me so that I knew exactly what I could order. The food came and it was fine. Nothing to complain about, but nothing overly remarkable on my end. I definitely think this is an atmosphere-based place. By that I mean the food was fine but it's not something I would crave normally -- or if I did, I could go to the grocery store and make myself a little charcuterie board. But it's a really nice spot if you want to hang out with friends and enjoy some drinks and snacks while catching up. It also would be a good spot for date night.

They were so sweet the entire time we were there, and they were on top of everything the entire time. They even gave me a free glass of wine!! The food was lovely, and I'd know since we ordered everything off the HH food menu. Even though some of the items I didn't like, I could still tell the quality of the ingredients. The focaccia and polenta fries were my favorites!! They reasons this isn't a perfect five for me is because the HH menu is pretty limited. Also, I've tried to come to Alimentary before, and it just didn't work out. As in the restaurant wasn't available to the public due to a private party. Also, it's quite literally just an hour long and only runs during the week.
