I had the unfortunate experience of being one of thousands of vehicles with severe hail damage back in June 2023. First, I couldn't find anyone in my town available for the work, and then most of the businesses didn't want to do "all that work" The work was replacing a damaged sunroof. Before coming to this establishment, I sought a repair estimate from Bob Howard Toyota to fix my broken sunroof for my Toyota solars. Their estimate? $4700. So I shopped around, and I found a Vinyl Top Specialists. Their estimate? Just over $1000. And when they actually did the work, it only ended up costing me $600 because one of the repairs I thought I needed it turns out I didn't, and I'm glad I can trust this establishment enough to know they aren't just going to charge you things willy-nilly--Which is necessary for some of us who are not car savvy. I've had two tops done by these guys. A hail storm totaled the top on my Miata last year and I was really happy with the service, price and quality of the top they replaced it with. I sold that Miata shortly after getting a new top put on, but I've seen it around town and the top is still looking great. read more

Highly recommended! Don't let the name mislead you, this is a great place to repair or remodel just about anything inside your car. Ask for John, he was extremely helpful. I had an issue with my driver's side seat, the springs gave out and caused the side trim to snap off. They stripped down the entire seat and rebuilt the support structure, and fixed the trim using custom bracing. It looks good as new, and the seat has great support now. Very reasonably priced for the amount of custom work involved. If they don't have the expertise in-house they will gladly hook you up with other specialists in the area. Absolutely horrible. I came in to get my top repaired from a minor leak. Now I can't open my passenger seat without rolling down the window so the top doesn't catch it. When called nobody answers the phone and rarely respond to emails. Would not recommend for any convertible read more

I would not recommend getting you car worked on here. We took our car in to have the headliner repaired, and after arrival, I went into the shop and talked to two of his installers that informed me that it was beyond repair, and needed to be replaced, then asked John Johnson if he could explain how they were going to do the repair. . John told me his installers had no idea what they were talking about, which is pretty scary. Then told me he actually sub-contracted the work to another shop, and couldn't go into detail how it would be repaired. Then told me and my wife we had trust issues because we wanted to know what they were taking apart on our new Audi. After that he told us to leave, he didn't want to work on it, and use another shop. One if the most unpleasant experiences I had when trying to pay some money for their services. John needs a prescription of chill pills, or they need to put him in the back far away from customers. Can't really comment on their quality of work, other than you can't have any knowledge of how they're going to fix your car, other than "just trusting them".
