Violet's & Zen's is the newest restaurant along the Drive in Wilton Manors. It occupies the former location of Siam restaurant next to Tropics but in a brand-new two-story building. The first floor is rather plain Jane with a primitive unimpressive décor. Décor wise, the second floor isn't better with uncomfortable stools and other seating. The table I ate wasn't even a table. It appeared more like an old cable wire spool with barely enough surface area for your food and drink. So, atmosphere wise it's lacking. What is good about it, however, is that it has a very good covered patio area with its second-floor view looking down on The Drive. I understand that Violet's & Zen's have an elevator, but not operating. So, to get to the second floor you're stuck having to use a long steep and I would say dangerous staircase. You wouldn't want to take a fall on it. But it does have sturdy handrails on both sides of it, which I suggest you utilize. As for food, it's a tapa-only place in its offerings. The menu is rather small with five Signature Rolls, some nigari and sashimi, then boa buns, and then 10 choices of tapas. I opted to have their Smoked Philly which was comprised of smoked salmon, a whipped cream cheese, Kura, pickled ginger, and fermented cucumber. The salmon didn't have much of a smoke taste and was of a body, not a belly cut. The pickled ginger was pretty much the same as you buy in a jar, but nothing notable. I also had their Bao bun soft shell crab prepared with red beer batter, preserved apple, and tartar sauce which made for a unique and delightful tasty treat. Overall, Violet's & Zen's strikes me as a restaurant in the making. I just don't think they got it right yet, and can't recommend it.

What a lovely place! The service was perfection. Everyone was so helpful and willing to support us. All bars should aspire to this level of respect. The drinks and food were delicious. I love a fun happy hour with a dj playing sweet tunes. I had a blast with my friends. I will be back

This weekend we tried Violet's and Zen's on the Drive. We really enjoyed it. They have Crafted cocktails, Tapas and on the weekends they have sushi. If you get a chance, give them a try, I think you will enjoy. The sushi was excellent. We loved the duck spring rolls and chicken satay. We did get the shrimp dumplings too, but honestly I don't think they were as good as their other dishes. The service was great and friendly. Give Violet's & Zen's a try and see for yourself. It's great to have another place to eat in Wilton.

Servers are nice and helpful, especially Jeff. Drinks and good. We tried BBC, Red Dragon and the Hissy Fit. All great choices. The upstairs balcony area is nice to sit and people watch. The upstairs is open to the outside while still having cover. Cute addition to Wilton drive

We have dined here twice now. Today was a brunch treat. Delicious food for sure great taste. My only complaint was that my waffle was not fluffy Nice ambiance and good service!

Thai meatballs and street corn ribs

Normally new restaurants take some time to work out the kinks, but this place is perfect from the start. Easily one of the best places for food and drink on Wilton Drive. It's a casual well done atmosphere with great music. They didn't go cheap when putting this place together. The upstairs lounge is perfect and fully covered. Food is Asian tapas. We got the Thai meatballs, street corn ribs, crispy rice, and Korean hot chicken bao buns (which were our favorite). Flavors were great and you can tell it was put together by an experienced chef. The cocktails are also high-end with drinks you can't find elsewhere in Wilton Manors. The Zenarita was great and not too sweet. They open at 5pm, but I'm hoping they will eventually do brunch. Will be back soon!

The combo of Licor 43 and espresso is delish! Highly recommend. It was a Sunday night so there wasn't too many people, but the bartender did tell us they play live music on Fridays and Saturdays and that is when there is a bigger crowd. Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

My local client took me by this place, and raved about the kava-related options. Neither of us is into hookah, but the other customers raved about that. 5-star service: aside from the funny personable staffer, the patrons were also sweet-natured regulars. They all seemed to know one another well, and welcomed us like old pals. The legal natural sedative qualities of many of their beverages meant a lot of the conversation was about flying cars and reincarnation LOL. 5-star ambience: Outside it's a little bit forlorn strip mall, a little bit dive bar. Squeezed into a former credit union spot, it's almost hidden in a corner of the shopping strip, between Alibi and Hunters, two of the largest gay bars in the city. It's almost like a speakeasy...as of now there is no lit outdoor sign like the strip's other places. No Manors opens up into a surprisingly large space upon walking through the entryway. The very trendy lighting, multiple bar spaces, DJs and large curved seating gives off a cool nightclub vibe. Behind and above the seating can be used for live performances. On opening night male strippers danced, and various circus style acts performed. The DJ music was loud which made it hard for conversation, but not ear-shattering loud.
