Vadim is terrific! I had a long list of items that needed to be repaired/installed, including moving a dining room light, repairing a cabinet door and installing a large white board. I contacted Vadim after reading the positive reviews on Yelp and was contacted back shortly there after, he was very busy, but was able to fit me in that same week for a viewing of my closet I was looking to revamp. He came out and we discussed a plan, took measurments and negotiated a good and fair price. When I had a questions he promptly answered them. When the items I ordered came in, he was able to come out that weekend and complete the closet; he put together a shelf and a dresser, removed all of the old closet, ran to Home Depot for the remainder of needed items and did all of this in less than four hours...quite impressive! Vadim came to to my house to install a security door. During installation, a tool he needed broke. He couldn't find one so he made it on the spot! He also spray painted a piece on the door so it would match the rest of the door. Then he gave me the rest of the paint can for any touch ups. He and his assistant were extremely fast and efficient. Vadim is fantastic. We had him remodel our bathroom and do some finishing work on an office. He was incredibly professional, clean, and quick. He offered up ideas we hadn't thought of that made the final product look even better. The thing that impressed me the most was his attention to detail. The day he started demo he asked if I had an air conditioner going(I did. It's Sacramento in the middle of summer. Of course I did). This guy left me hanging dry after waiting for an appointment for 6 weeks. He referred job (he didn't have time for my small job) to a friend of his, Walter...a floor man, gave me his phone number and the guy never called me back. I then gave Valdiv the chance to make things right, and he said, "I will have my secretary call you." I never received that call. This man's word means nothing. I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel and had issues with the new microwave installation. I called Vadim at 12:30 pm to see if he could install an over-the-range microwave on very short notice at a house in East Sacramento. He was able to fit my project in after working all day in El Dorado Hills. We met at the house at 6:00 pm and the new microwave was installed and up and running by 6:30 pm. Vadim was wonderful. I called around 8 pm when I discovered I had no hot water. He came the next morning to fix my water heater, a very old one, which only needed to be relit as it turned out. Though he suggested I start exploring replacement options due to its age. He showed me how to relight it, if it went out again. His minimum fee is $50 for a house call and he seemed reluctant to charge me that since it was such a simple fix. He asked if there was anything else I might need. He cleared my dryer vent, fixed my front door that had been difficult to lock and checked my drip system water valves. All for the same service fee. I am so grateful to have all these things fixed. None of them warranted a special service call but all will make my life easier. He was very professional, friendly, helpful and showed great integrity. I've used Vadim twice now and I really would not use anyone else unless I absolutely had to, but he does such great work that he is booked way ahead of schedule. The first time I had a long list of items that needed done: garbage disposal fixed, two toilets not flushing properly, window blinds, sprinkler repair, leaf gutters that hadn't been cleaned in years, hardware to install on all cupboards and cabinets throughout the house, sagging gate, front door screen removal, dry rot on front fence, and a few other things that I can't think of right now. In my message to him, he stated that he charges by the hour and with that, I considered the danger of getting someone who dawdles in the work. Not with Vadim. Vadim and his helper arrived and without waiting a minute asked where the list and the materials were and went immediately to work. I've never seen anyone get so much done in such short amount of time. The second time, he came on a Sunday afternoon and again, was done very quickly and the work was excellent. His price was more than fair and much less than I expected for the amount of work.
