We were the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night, yet it took over 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive our food. Even then, at the 45-minute mark, only about 40% of our order arrived. For a party of six, our order was not particularly complicated: two burritos, two taco meals, a chicken sandwich, and guacamole with chips. The remainder of the order did not arrive until the 1.5-hour mark. To make matters worse, my son's meal was incorrect when it finally came out, adding even more delay and frustration to an already lengthy wait. Throughout the wait, there were no drink refills, no updates on our order, and little attention from the staff. We also received no napkins or serving utensils with our food and had to ask for basic items that should have been provided from the start. The dining experience itself lacked any atmosphere. There was no music playing and no television on, which only made the long wait feel even longer and more uncomfortable. As for the food, it was lackluster and underwhelming. Tortilla chips and fries were burned. Bun for chicken sandwich was not warmed. The dishes were very basic, with little presentation or attention to detail, and they certainly did not justify the extended wait. What made the experience especially confusing was that this all happened while we were the only customers in the restaurant on a Saturday night. A simple order, an empty dining room, no communication, no refills, an incorrect meal, and a 90-minute wait just didn't make sense. The only positive aspect was that the restaurant is dog-friendly. Otherwise, this was one of the most frustrating and puzzling dining experiences we've had in a long time.

They used to have a big menu with really good food, but now they seem to be gearing more toward a lounge vibe. I think they should keep the restaurant atmosphere earlier in the night and transition into more of a lounge around 11 PM. I definitely miss the fried rice. Now the menu is mostly bar food like wings, sliders, and similar items. Don't get me wrong the sliders were banging, but I really want the full menu back. Honestly, I feel like they already had the same good vibe before, even with the larger menu, so now it feels like the same atmosphere but with fewer food options. They do have hookah, which is a plus for me, and the prices are reasonable. So if you're looking for a nice chill spot with good music, drinks, and hookah, this is definitely a good place to check out. But if you're specifically looking for Guyanese food, those days seem to be over. Overall, I still recommend this spot for the vibes alone.

While the appetizer arrived promptly, the drinks were significantly delayed and did not arrive until after the appetizer had already been finished. The soda was noticeably watered down. The rasta pasta was very good, while the shrimp wontons were just acceptable. Once the food was delivered, the server did not check back in, no one came to the table for over forty-five minutes. Although it was Halloween night and the restaurant was busy, the lack of attentiveness was disappointing. When the server finally arrived, we waited another thirty minutes just to get the check. My second visit, the experience did not improve. The restaurant had run out of soda and only offered cranberry ginger ale, which the server explained was due to a party the night before. This was frustrating, especially since the restaurant was empty and no alternative accommodations were offered. The jerk chicken pasta was average, with an excessive amount of jerk sauce on the chicken. I did not enjoy the food. The lamb and duck were undercooked, which was concerning. Given the extremely high menu prices and the consistent issues across both visits, I would not return. My third and final visit, I received chow mein instead of the lo mein that I ordered. The dish was extremely bland and lacked any noticeable flavor. The jerk chicken was also underwhelming. The skin had a slight hint of jerk seasoning, but there was very little sauce, and the chicken itself tasted plain and unseasoned. The soda was also watered down and did not taste right.

But on all the social media sites I checked, including Yelp, opening time was referenced as 12 noon. When we arrived at 12 the door was locked. We walked around for a while, returning 10 minutes later. This time the owner opened the door and told us to come back at 1. When my wife explained that various sites indicate the opening time at 12 he seemed surprised, but not especially concerned nor apologetic, and simply repeated that we should come back at 1. I was about to mention to him that since we live about 20 minutes away and that traveling back and forth would be impractical, as would be walking around for 50 minutes, perhaps we could be permitted to visit somewhat earlier. But by then, the door was closed. It's a shame. The bar has so many glowing reviews and it looks like a cool place. Too bad we'll never see the inside.
