I went in for abdominal issues. First of all, I was never asked if I was currently on any medications. The dr spent 3 minutes with me and says he's giving me a prescription for antibiotics. I'd be careful using your credit card to pay for services. They took my insurance information and charged me for the urgent care visit. A month after they charged the rest of the balance to my card without sending me a bill! Spoke 2x to their billing dept who kept telling me they will send me a breakdown so I can send it to my insurance. Never got anything in the mail. I received a letter that my insurance company contacted them and told them where to file the claim so I can get reimbursed. Question is will they do anything? Because they already told my insurance that I already paid. And they claimed that they did not have my insurance information?!! If I don't update this review then we know this place is not taking the time to file the claim and will use the card you used on file to try to bill you. Level of care? I have been to VIP before for a blood panel I needed immediately for an ankle surgery performed between Christmas and New Years Day last year. I had a very good experience and received the results immediately However my recent visit makes me question the competence of the support staff. Yesterday I went to VIP with flu like symptoms. They took nasal swabs to test COVID, flu etc. Today I got a phone call from a staff member who told me I had RSV and H influenza (regular flu vaccine does not protect against Haemophilus or H influenza) However the report I was emailed only had two pages of what was actually a seven page report which the doctor emailed me after a phone call. The two pages I was sent showed nothing related to those issues. I told her I already had an RSV vaccine 2 years ago (RSV vaccine is a one time vaccine) the representative told me I had to get it yearly. That is incorrect info. I called back and spoke to Dr. Nikjoo I believe. He explained that she had misread the lab report about RSV and he confirmed I had Rhinovirus (upper respiratory infection and Haemophilus Influenza which is treated with antibiotics which the doctor prescribed yesterday. My concern is that the staff who review test results and call patients should be of the highest caliber to avoid misinforming patients. read more

Service has deteriorated. I came in for a bad cold and cough, long story short, the person taking my vitals seemed annoyed and rude. Then the doctor said I didn't need anything for my violent cough and said I could take some over the counter medication. I had to insist on something for cough. Then when I got to the pharmacy they had not called in my antibiotics which was the most important part and the main reason for my visit. Extremely frustrating. I had to go to urgent care for a bite which infected my arm. I tried phoning another facility across the street and was told (by a bot) that the wait was 140 mins. So I phoned VIP and a real person named Lawrence anwered my call and said the wait was about 20 mins. Their reviews were good, so I proceeded. The intake was fast and Dr. Nickjoo was so kind. The care quality at this establishment is poor. The doctor did a Mickey Mouse exam on me, after being sick for a week, I'm still sick, all he did was prescribe me promethazine for my cough. His stethoscope didn't even touch my body, he didn't take an X-ray of my chest, despite my obvious struggle to breathe. He literally did nothing, other than a covid test and strept test. It was a complete waste of time and effort getting out of bed. . I went to another doctor to get an exam, he knew how to correctly use the stethoscope (not just wear it) they did an x ray, put me on a breathing machine, gave me a steroid and determined I have pneumonia, I left there with a prescription for antibiotics, steroids, and an inhaler. Dear doctor of vip urgent care, you seem like you don't care at all, it's very apparent. Shame on you for not doing your due diligence. It's sad to meet medical professionals with no integrity, and lack of care for their patients. I told you I had body aches, chills, I told you I can't breathe, you heard me coughing incessantly, I told you all of my symptoms and you did nothing , you told me I had a head cold. And you were wrong... you were wrong because you didn't bother taking the necessary steps to check. Perhaps you should switch fields. I had to take my son to urgent care on New Year's Day, and this was one of the only places open. We were so pleasantly surprised at how modern and clean this facility was. We were also able to make an appointment on the Internet, so the wait time was only 10 minutes. The staff was incredible beginning with the check-in to the nurse and doctor. Patient beware! I have been there a couple of times with mediocre care. But this last time it was a Sunday and I couldn't find anywhere else to go except the hospital waited an hour. They finally took an x-ray cause I fell on my driveway after waiting told me well it won't be read till tomorrow morning! Went home called in the morning and they said it was fine. They sent me my report which said I had a broken fifth metatarsal which they neglected to tell me or treat. They said they don't treat it now they've sent me a bill for almost $300. I have been coming to VIP for years. Last few times have not been the best experience. The latest care provider got an attitude with me and minimized my symptoms and tried to make me feel stupid about my allergies to certain meds. You know the typical thats not an X allergy because blah blah blah.... Like lady I know what me and my doctors are talking about . I have worked in healthcare and I know my nomenclature. Anyhow walked out with full blown covid and a negative test. Had runny nose, pain, headache, coughing up phlegm you name it. Thought i was going to die. Suggested test was not done correctly but I was dismissed. That night I really thought I would die and it kept getting worse so went to another provider first thing next morning. Test came back positive within a minute bc I had severe covid. I really used to like this place and the providers. The positive is they are quick and have a lot of things you may need like X-ray or ultrasound. This spot wont be on my list as first choice until they can provide the great care they used to. This place is the definition of a medical scam facility! Do not leave them a credit card on file. They will charge everything to your card and make no effort to bill your insurance. If you read more reviews you will see this is a common theme with them. I had medical insurance and came in for a back issue. I would then be charged a very high amount on my credit card. I have conversations with them on the phone (documented) that I would not have my card charged and I would receive a bill in the mail if I were to be charged. After seeing the charge I called and they said they never got a response from my insurance company or could not reach them. My insurance is good insurance and I found they didn't reach out to them. The facility is clean and the x-Ray tech was cool but the billing department is a utter scam. Unless you want to be dealing with incorrect charges, lack of competence when trying to bill your insurance, and lots of phone calls go somewhere else. read more

I had a knee injury so I visited VIP Urgent Care the following day. The doctor immediately suggested an XRAY without even touching my leg. I requested a range of motion exam, she resisted? I pressed her again for a range of motion exam and she said she was convinced it was NOT soft tissue and again suggest the XRAY. I got the XRAY, and have to say it was one of the oddest and most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had in a hospital or medical environment. The technician is an absolute creep who made weird comments, sometimes pointed at me, the entire time. I'm almost certain I saw an "xrays for dummies" book on his desk. A day later received a call that it was NOT bone related and absolutely soft tissue related. This place is obviously looking for cash grabs in the form of quick and easy XRAYs. I do NOT recommend coming to this place. My son saw Dr Nikjoo about 3 weeks ago for throat pain and high fever. He told my husband that my son had strep and prescribed him antibiotics. 2 weeks later my son got strep again. We took him to the ER in Encino and found out that Dr Nikjoo didn't prescribe the correct dosage and that is why my son got strep again so quickly after. read more

I went there with a horrible cough for the past 3 weeks . I told them I am on the second pack of Zithromax but not sure if that's what i need or some stronger . She said you need a chest X-ray to make sure it's not pneumonia and I called to get the results since they didn't call . 2 days I called back to tell them I didn't sleep all night from coughing and getting worse I think I need a stronger antibiotic since I have been like this past 3 weeks or more . I called my insurance to give me a list of urgent care's I can get served at and this was one of them. I came her bc it was highly rated The frustrating part is I scheduled an appointment hours before and submitted my insurance though their online registration link. Not sure why they couldn't double check my insurance before arriving and call me that they don't accept my insurance. This is standard at urgent care clinics especially if they ask for your information beforehand. Usually I'll get a call letting me know what my copay will look like and will especially get a call that they don't accept my insurance. Also he had mentioned that he's had other ppl with my same insurance say the same that they were sent by their insurance.
