This company is a joke the employees are clowns. they did not clean up after the tree removal and accused me of putting dog poop by the fence line which is a complete lie. They showed up unannounced. Again. First of all, I don't pick up , I hired someone who does it 2 times a week. Secondly, I didn't know that they were coming. They also didn't clean up the yard where the tree is. Bad business...Virgils's tree service was here over a month ago. The guys were working hard on the job on a Sunday. Unfortunately, there is a town ordinance that work cannot be done on a Sunday. The town police stopped by and informed them of this ordinance and shut them down. They cleaned up very little quickly and said they would be back the next day. That was a month ago. They did not come back the next day, so the owner scheduled two other days they could return. They never returned nor did they give any notice. Now the owner will not take my calls, text messages or answer emails. I have been blocked on his cell phone and office line. Luckly, I only paid them 1/2 that day. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS read more

If you see this company in your neighborhood run don't walk the other way. They will damage your property and leave a mess in your yard and any surrounding property. If I could give 0 stars I would. Not only did Virgil and his employers not finish the job they were paid for, they got their truck stuck on top of our septic field after we told him multiple times in advance where it was located and to not drive anywhere near it. They then had another person come help tow the truck and had to cut down parts of our tree in order to pull the truck out. As a result, they damaged our septic field and tore up our front and backyard. Virgil assured us he would come and fix it but gave excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't come and ultimately never came back or fixed the problems him and his crew caused. read more

Do not use this company! Trinity Lutheran School hired this company to remove a tree on their property and in the removal of said tree this company damaged my new vinyl fence. While the crew was apologetic and professional in their interactions with me; Virgil and his office staff were not. Virgil has not responded to any written requests I have made. I fully understand that mistakes happen and when they do things need to be rectified and not ignored and hope they just go away. My husband and I paid Virgil's Tree Service $7,100 ($300 more than his original estimate) for removal of several trees from our property, trimming of all remaining trees on our property, removal of and chemical treatment applied to vines from 1 tree, grinding of all stumps on our property, and return for additional grading with dirt to areas where trees were removed. The bulk of the services were finished before 7/14/17, and Virgil (the owner of the company) assured us that he would return to finish grinding the stumps, to apply a chemical treatment to the vines which were growing into 1 tree to prevent them from regrowing, and to add more dirt to grade the areas where the trees were removed. After several texts, Virgil stated he would return either that day or the next day 7 times, but never did so any of those 7 times. Since 8/6/17, Virgil is no longer responding to texts and there is no response/voice mailbox for phone calls. I would not recommend this company at all. If you do choose to hire him, definitely do not render all payment until all services are rendered to your satisfaction. Before we hired this company, the owner told us we would not have to pay anything until all the services were rendered to our satisfaction. However, this was not true at all. I will never hire this company again nor recommend them. Since I wrote this review, I filed a complaint with the BBB. The owner of the company initially denied all of my complaints, but after I submitted evidence of the company's service description and repeated promises of specific days to finish the work, the company has failed to respond to the BBB. I truly wish I would have read other reviews before I let Virgil's crew touch my trees. I originally had Virgil come to my house to give me an estimate on trimming two Japanese maples and an apple tree. Virgil is a very good talker and boasted of what a wonderful job he does and how people he trims for will let no one else work on their trees. He talked me into scheduling the trimming of six trees. The first scheduled date went by without anyone showing up. There was not a call or even a text to let me know. I should have cancelled right then. The two Japanese maples were to be trimmed so the one close to the house was taller and the one farther out was to be topped so it was then lower. They chopped off a few branches on the bottom of that tree. The one that was supposed to be taller was chopped off on the side. The apple tree, which was supposed to be topped, had all of the lower branches removed and non of the shoots going straight up were touched. Any fool going by an apple orchard can see this totally the opposite of how apple trees are supposed to be trimmed. The tree in the front of my house was to be reigned in and shaped. I paid $900 for this one tree to be shaped. It is still terrible out of shape, and is still encroaching on the roof of the house. There are also branches that were left on the roof of my house. I have called Virgil, and he said he would come out and take a look the next day. That has been over a month and he has not bothered to come over to look at the butchering his crew inflicted upon my trees. There service is not a tree trimming service. Unless you want your trees butchered, do not hire them. The only tool they used was a chain saw, and any fool knows that a good trimming cannot be done without more refined tools.
