For…read moreyears, a canopy of trees blocked the sun from our back yard which led to the grass dying, the topsoil being washed away (from lack of grass holding it place), and only clay being left. ADAC churned the clay, put down topsoil, and put down sod for just a few pennies more per square foot than it cost to purchase the sod alone from home improvement stores. For those few extra pennies psf ADAC did everything. It was more than worth it. We are thrilled to have grass again (we had the trees removed prior to the sod being put down). We will be using ADAC again to sod those areas of the yard we didn't have them do this time because we are putting in a patio - we will need those areas not covered by the patio to be sodded.

As advertised, it is only $1.20 per square foot. We hired him and he came Monday with fresh sod from Chantilly. Installation was mostly complete Monday with some spots done Tuesday. Overall very happy with the project. He also cut down some tree limbs for an additional fee. Project included preparation of the soil (tilling, raking, thin layer of compost). It was only the two of them so this took a good bit of time. I think they should have watered the dirt before laying sod on top, but that's from my own internet research and Alexander seemed to know what he was doing. I would definitely hire them again.

The young men that worked with him were conscientious and paid attention to what they were doing and, since I am an avid gardener as well as a horticulturist, they were extra attentive to direct instructions associated with what I wanted done and, just as importantly, NOT done. They clearly take pride in a job well done and were delightful to chat with...all had positive attitudes and were ready to get to work. As you can see by the review comment, someone is still very rude by assuming this review was based on not getting what I want. If that was true you would see me reviewing 5 other lawn companies. Pros are they show up on time, cut grass well. Cons are they don't blow all areas they are supposed to and are inflexible on arrival times, showing up at 8am, and unwilling to accommodate a customer's request to come after 9am to avoid waking us up and our neighbors. It also makes it inconvenient to move all of our cars out of our own driveway so early in the morning just to accommodate their schedule. Lost trust in this company early on.

After the grass cut they pretty much just leaving all the grass there without blowing or cleaning it. -both side of our front lawn had broken glass from our solar light.
