    Meatball Sub
    Mildred O.

You pass the gelato and bakery area on your way to order at the counter. I ordered the meatball sub and my spouse ordered the turkey croissant. The sub was large and the filling meaty. I liked that it came with chips and a small cookie. The iced tea was really watery, so that could be better. There were three different staff that checked on us while we were eating (a little too much for me) with such a casual cafe. There were some grocery items for purchase too. Next time, I'm coming back just for the bakery and gelato!

    Combo Italian delicious 7/24

The reviews I've read for Viros have been a little disappointing, however this was not my experience. I wanted to start out by saying I am Italian so the bar is set high by my taste. With that I wanted to start with sandwiches. Fried fish is a thing on Fridays so I tried a sandwich with French fries and coleslaw. Excellent crispy fresh bun and condiments. I really enjoyed it. The star was the combo Italian sandwich with sausage and Italian beef on a hoagie type roll with cheese. Huge. Bigger than I expected. Heavy. That's when you know it's got some good portions of meat. Flavor bursting, hot and actually probable the best Italian sandwich I've had in Tucson. I'll be back for sure. I might even go back today. Gracie Viro's.

    Cheese 9" pizza.

Not bad. Though I need to give it another try. I had the cheese pizza. Wasn't that impressed, but not turned off, either. Way too much cheese, it was so rich. Very old style crust and I didn't like that as much. They have lots of pastries and of course, other Italian items. I did try the cannoli and it was enjoyable, true to the positive reviews here. There was definitely a steady stream of regulars walking away with pastries and entrees. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

This place is awesome. It's a small Italian deli/pastry shop. They make all their cookies/pastries in house, including the cannoli filling. They have fresh bread, pastries and food. I ordered a bunch of Italian cookies, a couple cannolis, and a meatball sub. Everything was amazing! The meatballs were full of flavor and moist. The cookies and cannolis were fresh and delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and service was fast. I definitely recommend!

    Sicilian flag

I was looking for a couple of scoops of green Italian olives, and not finding that I discovered and ate a delicious cheese and mushroom calzone! The tomato sauce was perfect! Good service: order at counter and meal is brought to you in a good-sized seating area. Many other people here enjoying spaghetti, fish fry, piping hot soup and gelato! I have no room for gelato or any of the pastries today. Having just returned from Sicily it was interesting seeing the flag. Will have to keep this place in mind for future lunch stops. Busy place, but seats are available as tables are cleaned quickly for incoming people.

Bren coming here for years. Service is always good and friendly! The interior is old school deli and restaurant vibes. I really like it. There is imported items available for sale as well. Like tuna in olive oil and strain tomatoes from Sicily. They have a full assortment of homemade cookies and canolies and other authentic Italian treats. Today I got a mortadella sandwhich on sicilian bread. Absolutely delicious. Comes with chips, a cookie, and a mint. 10/10 perfect fresh bread and imported mortadella. Can't ask for much more. Give them a try! Local family! Also have pizzas to go frozen and all the fixens to take home to make your own on a family or date night!!!

The custom ordering process was easy and the price was very reasonable. One thing to keep in mind with Village Bakehouse is that they have limited indoor seating and are often crowded. They do have covered outdoor seating with fans but you are looking at a parking lot so not super picturesque.

Between having ordered a customized cake to picking up cakes from their display cases... I don't have a favorite... each one has been unique and delicious in their own (ps- their icing is amazing). For the quality of their cakes, their prices are totally reasonable. They have additional bakery items ( cookies, pastries etc) that I have tried and I would rate those a 4/5. Good and comparable to some additional amazing bakers in Tucson. I have also dined here for brunch and I would rate it a 3/5. Overall service is great here- staff are attentive and take the time to describe the items. There is a line to order usually- understandably so when you see their bakery case! Indoor and outdoor seating available. Ample parking as it is in a strip mall.

It's located between Petco and Ace Hardware, and there is plenty of parking. You can order at a kiosk, but since we came later in the evening, the cashier was happy to take our order and was very friendly. My husband ordered the Thai Tea with boba. I ordered the Jasmine milk tea with panacotta and boba, and we shared a mango tiramisu. We were both happy with our drinks. The panacotta is a great topping and the boba was fresh, even later in the evening. The mango tiramisu was a perfect treat. It had a jello‑like topping with fresh mango pieces, and the creamy moist bites were delicious. I really enjoyed the consistency and flavor. We played checkers while we hung out. I would love to come back to try more teas and desserts. I definitely want to try the waffle because it smelled amazing. There are plenty of places to sit and everything was very clean.
