Even after the salon made an error a few years ago, I continued to give them my business. Only to ultimately find out how little they value it. Sawyer, the stylist, is wonderful and has done a great job with my hair. Can't recommend her enough. I recently stopped going to Vis A Vis Salon. I really loved my stylists! They were talented and always made me feel taken care of but the overall environment just wasn't working for me anymore. The lighting is super harsh and unflattering, and some of the chairs are broken, uncomfortable, and wobbly. It's hard to feel relaxed or pampered in a space that feels so worn down. Over time, it started to feel like the salon just wasn't being cared for, and that really affected my experience. To the owner: I hope you'll consider putting some love back into the space and into your clients' experience. Your team is great, but they deserve a better environment, and so do your customers. read more

I would give it 0 if I could. I had a Instagram consult with her. I wanted to get my hair done from because of the magic she creates... I initially wanted a fantasy color and she recommended going to a color specialist who does fantasy colors. I decided not to do a fantasy color and stick with browns and ash blonde maybe not 100% on color wheel. I sent that over all good booked appt and stuff. She asked if I get my roots done at home or salon. I said salon closer to my house, she basically said I should go there. So if I had said I color my own roots then what? This is not what is called getting on the same page. It's simpler to sat hey I'm sorry I can't do your hair instead going back n forth for days and me alternating my schedule to match her opening and finding a babysitter for my 6 week old baby. And I'm not a new client! It is your right to take a client of refuse them but it isn't good to best around the bush this much. Just be direct and say hey I can't do your hair. So does this mean that if I don't get all my hair services from vis a vis that I can't come in the get any service at all? I'm actually very disappointed. read more

First time coming to Vis a Vis and what an amazing experience I had. Vina was my colorist and she did a fantastic job. Not only is she sweet and welcoming, she also took time to listen to what I wanted and my color came out perfectly like I envisioned. She was able to transform my previously colored hair into this beautiful color (pictured below). I also enjoyed the whole vibe of this salon, the receptionist are friendly and upon arrival I was offered coffee and tea which was a big plus. 5 Star experience ! Visited the salon for the first time for a color service. The salon itself was very easy to find and offer valet so you don't have to worry about parking your car. The staff is very friendly and well organized, little to no wait time. My appointment was Nicole, she provided a virtual consultation - provided her pictures of my hair. My hair had a lot of copper tones and she did such a great job toning that down! Absolutely love how my hair turned out. Highly recommend Nicole, especially for color corrections! EDIT: the salon commented below. They did NOT offer to address my concern about all of my hair other than the outermost layer. You also cannot expect the everyday person to understand the hierarchy of a salon. I was given the assistant manager, not the manager, which is what I asked for. Rudeness is not warranted. I also called back and conveniently Brittany and the owner were busy and not able to speak. Extremely disappointing. I booked a balayage with Vina. There was very little transparency throughout the entire process. I was actually given a "foilayage" which I specially didn't ask for because I didn't want stripey highlights. I was also charged for other extras that I was not informed about during the service. I reached out to customer service and they were rude and unhelpful. They have one photo of my hair, which was taken in poor light, that they were basing all of their responses off of. The photo was taken from the side and only showed the outermost layer of my hair, not all of the rest of my hair which was untouched and not lightened. Since it's been slightly longer than two weeks from my service date, they're messaging was like "F you, not our problem." It's clear that this place does not care about their customers. I paid almost $400 to be treated this way. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

When I tell you everyone is amazing here! I freaking mean it!! Today was my first time here. As soon as I park I saw the salon and I thought it was a museum lol they even have free valet parking. So fancy! I came in and was just so awe about the decor! It's beautiful. Not your regular neighborhood salon. Lol From the black chandelier to the marble floors! I came in today to see Vina. She's a colorist at this salon. I wanted a warm tone Balayage with a bit of ash and my color came out exactly how I wanted it. I initially told her I wanted the same as what I have now but just higher since my roots grown out so much....I told her just DO YOU! And let me tell you she definitely DELIVERED!!! The process was about 3-4 hours because of my hair texture it doesn't take color as fast as others. But no complaints at all..she moves fast and efficient. Always came back a few minutes to check on me! Loved that she didn't leave me there for 30 minutes and forgot about me! They even give water or coffee while waiting your hair to process ! While I was under the dryer for a couple hours I watch other stylist use different techniques cutting hair. Had my hair colored and cut with Vina and it was the best experience! Everything from the check in process to check out! The staff was very friendly and they also offer valet parking which is a plus! I came across Vina's work on Instagram and loved her work. I live 4 hours away and have not had the best luck with finding someone locally. After trying several stylists, spending lots of money, damage to my hair, and leaving unhappy I took a chance and scheduled with Vina hoping she will be worth the 4 hour drive. So glad I found my new colorist Vina who is amazing with her balayage techniques! I'm giving this review more than one star because the staff is super friendly, they have valet parking, the place is really clean, and they offer a lot of services. My particular experience, however, left much to be desired. I got my hair colored by Jackie. I tried to explain to her what I wanted and what I didn't want, but she rushed me to just show her the pictures I brought. When we finally settled on one we had a pleasant time chatting while I got the foils put in my hair. Later while over at the sink she let me know I had a couple minutes left on my glaze and about 5 to 10 seconds later the shampoo girl came out and started rinsing it out. Aaalrighty. Lack of communication somewhere apparently. When my hair was done being blown out, imagine my surprise when I notice my hair is an ashy, dirty blonde. Definitely not the golden, honey blonde we had decided on. To make matters worse it was stripey, mostly on one side. I couldn't believe I had just paid an arm and a leg to have my hair look worse than if I had attempted to do it myself. Jackie already had another client and said I could give her a call and have her change it if I wasn't happy with it. Well, that is really sweet but I don't trust her to fix it. Now I have an appointment elsewhere to pay another arm and a leg to get it fixed. Very disappointing. read more
