    Check out my earlier review from one year ago. You would think after writing that review and having such an awful experience, I was vocal about, they wouldn't voluntarily reach out to me, but they did and it was another dreadful experience. A sales rep named Andrew reached out to me unsolicited, because he had a customer who was looking for my exact Jeep and Vision wanted to buy it from me. I love my Jeep. I've never loved a car more than the Jeep I currently have, so I told him I wasn't interested in selling. He kept pressing me by telling me he would "make it worth my while" because for whatever reason, with all the Jeeps they have in stock, mine was the one which fit what their customer wanted. I told him if he could pay off the remainder of my auto loan and put me in a comparable Jeep with the same low mileage, without my current monthly loan payment increasing, and cap financing at 36 months - I might consider a trade. He told me his customer was "hot" for my Jeep and he would get back to me w a great offer. I guess I needed to learn my lesson twice because instead of giving me a great deal, he sent me an offer which jacked up the price $3,000 of the Jeep he wanted me to take in trade- plus he added $350 to my current monthly payment and extended my current loan for five additional years. Adding insult to injury, he offered me less than book value for the Jeep they "had to have" for their customer. They are either out of their mind or they think I'm a fool. Not sure why I even entertained Andrew's call. Additionally, when they sent me the document of what they were offering me for my current vehicle, the Vin # claimed there was 20K more miles on the odometer than there actually is. They claim this was a typo, but it's five different random numbers so I don't know how it's a typo. I am now paying to pull a Carfax on my vehicle to make sure they didn't do something funny with the odometer prior to my purchase. After texting with saying I was not interested in doing any business - Andrew called me saying "all I wanna do is talk to you." The heck with that! I told him not to call me again and hung up. 10 minutes later I get another call and this time it's from his manager, Luke. I gave him about three seconds on the phone and told him never to call me again and hung up. I've bought my own cars for 40 years and I have never ever dealt with such flim-flam as I have with Vision. My overall experience with this dealership is they are smarmy, slick, and dishonest. Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself some aggravation- and don't fall for the "extended warranty" speech.

    Bought another car here. Simple process start to finish. Took 1 star away because they no longer offer free oil changes for life. Now, it's 3 free oil changes. I'd still return again in the future if they have what we want.

My entire family has used Van Bortel and Subaru for years. 3 generations of happy Subaru owners! I chose the 2026 Ascent Onyx Touring for its towing capabilities as I was coming from an F-150. It tows my Bayliner with ease and I hardly notice a difference! I would also like to add that the service department is also incredible. I had faulty trailer brakes on my trailer and one of the technicians Tom went above and beyond to help me diagnose the issue and gave me recommendations on how to fix it even though they don't normally work on trailers he still pointed me in the right direction. We had already test driven the car and knew which model and trim that we wanted and she was very honest and understanding of our position.     The process was not at all an award winning customer service experience…read more My first visit there to look at cars, I was greeted by Ray, who seemed nice, and said if we got a car they would even throw in a Josh Allen cardboard display after my mother commented on getting a picture with one. I took a Forester for a test drive while they were looking to give me an estimate for my current Outback. The Forester was nice. When I got back to the dealership after the test drive, they offered me $1,000 less than any other dealer that I had been to. They also refused to honor their advertised$2,500. The female manager (do not remember the name) said that was most likely going to be junked because of an exhaust leak (true), needing new tires, and being older. The tires have a total of about 15,000 miles on them and were in good shape. The entire "inspection" lasted a few minutes, was started for less than a minute, and never moved from the parking spot. I left a message with one of the executive team to try and get the terms and conditions on the advertised extra trade in value since I did not believe them, and got a call back from Justin who said that it was made clear to all the employees that the promotion was not supposed to be handled like they did at all, and it would be honored. Afterwards, I worked with the GM Zach a little, and the sales person Mercy who were both polite. At no point during the conversations with any of the employees did anyone get in the car and show, or talk about any of the features. Nor was any of the paperwork explained, other than to say what the name of the paperwork was. The only person that I would recommend dealing with is the finance person who very nicely explained all of the options for possible extended warranty and protection plans. Zach did offer to certify the car through the Subaru certification program, which I had asked about. They would not work on the price or anything else, I am assuming because of being forced to honor the trade in deal. The only reason I continued there is because of the trade in deal made financial sense to me. I wouldn't say I got a good deal, but it was a fine one for what seems to be a tough market. As we were finishing up, I asked about the Josh Allen cutout that had been mentioned on our first visit. Somehow they conveniently ran out of them in the 4 days since first visiting. Of course, pay no attention to the few that are sitting around the show room. If you are thinking of buying a vehicle from West Herr, I would go to one of the other stores in hopes that they may have better people since they will drive any of their vehicles to their other stores to be looked at. My experience here was rather impersonal and not very informative. I will also add that Ian at Van Bortel Subaru in Henrietta was an excellent representative to talk to, and I was a little disappointed that I was not able to come to a deal with him. If the deal at all makes sense, I would absolutely take my business there.

I had an issue with a car I bought a year ago from them…read moreand when I came in I spoke with Finance that stated it was covered under my warranty.When I get to the service dept the gentleman (I use that loosely) ask what's the issue. I show him the paper for my warranty and tell him it may be a problem with my muffler or exhaust. Immediately without hesitation and rudely he says "I don't think exhaust is covered". Then I say I had the car a year and things are falling from underneath and he says "Rust happens" just as rudely. I wouldn't recommend them for any service and at this point not even for a car. This was the second issue with them. The first time they basically had my car from 9am-6pm for an all around inspection. Wouldn't return my call, when I got back to the shop it was closed and it was 8-10 men standing around staring at me. No sorry it took so long or anything of the sort. They took the covering off the door that covers the key hole and left it in my cup holder. Then on my review on Google someone left a message (from Bob Johnson) saying someone would reach out to me to discuss my concerns. Of course they DID NOT. I recommend that you go to Independence Care if you are in Rochester NY. Please save yourself the headach going to Bob Johnson. Once they have your dollars they don't care (or atleast when it comes to a woman) in my opinion.
