What We Loved Immersive Play: The range of play structures is incredible. Our kids were obsessed with the recreations of famous children's books--walking through Mr. McGregor's Farm felt like stepping right into a storybook. Animals & Nature: Beyond the slides and climbing, the petting zoo and the peaceful Japanese pond (Urashima Taro) provided a great change of pace for the kids. Interactive Learning: The children's theatre is a gem. They have dedicated storytime and puppet shows that kept the toddlers completely engaged. Why It's a Must-Visit What makes this place even more amazing is that it's a non-profit. Also, there are animals (goats, rabbits, chickens/rooster, ox, mini horse, pigs) inside. The gift shop mostly contains generic items that don't say Fairytale Town, which don't make for the best of souvenirs. If you've never been here before, you can likely count on your kid enjoying at least a couple of hours here before getting bored. I'd say it's geared more for the younger children...older kids would probably benefit more from visiting the other two nearby attractions.

He has adored his time there, and my husband and I feel such warmth in our heart for every person who works within those walls. On the first morning, we arrived at 8:45 AM--and no one was there. We waited until 10:00 AM. No staff ever showed up. No cancellation notice. No communication of any kind. I called their general number and was referred to a local contact (Ashwin), but calls and emails went unanswered. It has now been hours with still no response. This is unacceptable. We had to scramble to rearrange work and childcare with zero support or accountability from Skyhawks. If you value your time, money, and your children's safety and experience, I would strongly advise against trusting this organization until they demonstrate basic professionalism and communication.

MEC Soccer Club is THE BEST club in all of Sacramento/Carmichael Area. The club managers are very professional yet personable at the same time. They care more about your child learning the game of soccer, making friends, and having fun, than they do money or numbers. They are selective on which volunteers they accept as coaches to ensure that your child gets the best soccer experience possible, in addition to provided all necessary gear for those coaches to run efficient practices. MEC Soccer Club also throws two especially fun events for the kids. The first is the Season Kick-Off party which includes all the teams scrimmaging with the opportunity for jump houses, snow cones, hot dogs, and activities in between the games. The second event is the photo day Fundraiser which is when all teams have team photos but they include a soccer challenge fundraiser with amazing raffles and basket prizes.
