Scheduled an appointment and walked in. I was assaulted by an overwhelming perfume. I saw that they were busy, so I went to stand by the desk. Five minutes later, "We'll be with you in a few minutes." OK, fine. The smell was still overwhelming. Meanwhile, they're playing political music and there's no place to not hear it. After the woman's guests left, she still said nothing to me for another five minutes. Truly horrible service. I guess go there if you want to have the experience of walking into a French brothel. I for the life of me wish I could say something nice about this place, but every time my broken glasses dig into the skin behind my ear it goes away. My frames broke and all I wanted were some new ones. I ordered some, but the doctor here cancelled my order. I had no other choice but to get an eye exam. The availability of appointments was a joke, so I spent weeks with broken glasses. I have to spend another two weeks with the same glasses; I could have had new ones by now! And my prescription barely changed. Instead of paying around 100 dollars for new frames, I instead had to pay over 250 dollars for the whole affair. Greedy and shameful lot, stomping on a struggling blue collar for their precious money. I'm going elsewhere next time. read more

First of all, when you call the number to the location you cannot leave a message and you end up in a phone tree, so frustrating. Second, when changed my order they said it had arrived and when I went to pick up the order it was not at the location so they ordered another pair for me and said they would put a rush on it and that did not happen so it was 2 weeks instead of 1 week. I could not get in touch with the Colorado Springs location on Cheyenne Blvd to get an update why a rush did not happen for this order. Also the customer rep at the store said she would call me once she talks to the lab to see if they can rush the order and I never heard from her. Yes, their prices are better but the service needs improvement. read more

Visionworks is SO MUCH BETTER than Eyeglassworld.. no contest. My prescription was incorrect at Eyeglassworld and I ended up going back THIRTEEN times.. WITHOUT any correction each time!! I tried calling corporate several times, without a response. I'll NEVER go to Eyeglassworld again!! The focal point was shifted to the right and I had to deal with an incorrect prescription. The manager told me to stop coming in. Horrible company!!! Dr. Rege, Melissa and Jennifer at N. Academy Visionworks were very professional and pleasant. I highly recommend the retinal scan. It's $39 extra, but worth it. It illuminated details that would have been missed otherwise. I've never had an optometrist explain everything as thorough as Dr. Rege. 18 May 23 - went with my husband to get his eyes checked because it had been several years since he got his eyes checked. He was using over the counter eye glasses to see up close and from far away and was going over the curbs sometimes so I convinced him that he needed to get his eyes checked. We had gotten coupons in the mail for lenses. He had several exams done before he was called into the doctor's office. Dr. Nils Rege was very thorough and took several pictures of both eyes. He shows us on the computer pictures of both eyes and the areas for concern that he would keep an eye on when he gets his eyes checked next year. Everyone was very friendly, professional and made us feel very comfortable. The whole area was exceptionally clean. We opted to order the frames on line where they send you five frames to try and send back the ones you do not want. We both forward to going back next year to get our eyes checked. read more

Went for eye exam and everything seemed okay, they said my glasses would be back in two or three weeks. 5 weeks later I called and they said there was a problem but I should get my glasses soon. They had never contacted me about the issue, strike one! I went to pick up my glasses and I could not see with them, they said don't worry you will get used to them. I told them this had never happened before, and I wanted my money back. They refunded my glasses, but it could take up to 60 days to get my money back and they refused to reinstate my exam benefit. I told them I could not use their prescription because I could not see properly with the glasses. Well, the woman said we don't know that! Strike two! So, I called my insurance and their corporate entity. Not much help there Strike three, there OUT! Don't believe their hype, poor service, poor quality glasses, and RUDE to boot! read more

The service here is atrocious. I spent a lot of money (even with VSP) for a pair of Ray-Bans. Just a few weeks later (under a month) the temple screw pops out. Barely worn. Weak quality control. Go in to get a replacement screw, it's a different color. I inquired on how we can avoid these issues in the future and I got a blank stare. I asked about compensation for the inconvenience and got a response "for a screw?". Well yes, it's about quality. Poor customer service and experience from the front staff during my purchase experience. If you don't like your job, quit. I placed an order and paid for contacts to be mailed to me three weeks ago. Contacts have not arrived. I understand that since then stores have closed due to COVID-19, but I have been unable to contact anyone at the local phone numbers, the toll free line, or live chat support. I have left voicemails for the past week. Online submission request form is "no longer available." This is horrendous handling of a bad situation. After I get these contacts or a refund I will never go to any Visionworks again. It is impossible to tell when something like this will happen, and instead of even trying to handle it they put their head in the sand. Absolutely unacceptable response. read more

Dude strait up laughed when I told him my insurance for health is my vision insurance company, yet somehow isn't phased that tri-care covers vision when it also is a healthcare provider. If I could rate this place a zero I would. The staff is very disrespectful and talks rudely about the customers right in their faces. The past times I've been in there I've been with my mom and they refuse to even acknowledge I'm there even though it's my eye appointment. I thought it would be different going by myself but as soon as I walk in I'm rudely told I need to make an appointment (even though I was showing up for the appointment I already made). After their rude initial shock of me actually making an appointment I was given paper work after filling it out I was ignored for 10 minutes while trying to get someone to help me so I could get my vision checked. My family has been customers of Visionworks for over 10 years and have had little issues here and there but nothing major. This last time I went, I took my son for a new contact prescription. It took over an hour(past our appointment time) to be seen and the doctor who saw my son was very rude to him. While checking out, I was informed the contacts the doctor provided as a trial pair were over 100 for a box of 6! I asked the lady why so much? She said the doctor has a tenancy to prescribe the more expensive ones. She went onto say there are less expensive pairs that are identical to the expensive ones. She said we would have to come back on a different date to try those cheaper contacts. A week later, I decided I'd just order the contacts online to avoid having to go back in and waste time. When ordering the contacts online, I learned Visionworks used some of my childs contact lense allowance($45) on the contact fitting. They have never done this in the past. Long story short, I was unable to order the contacts online because the online contact company said there was not enought allowance left to cover the contacts ordered. I later called Visionworks to ask them why they used part of the allowance on the exam and they could not explain why. They took my number down and said they would have a manager call me back. I waited a week and never heard back. I called a week later and I asked at that time if i could just order the cheaper contacts that I was informed about earlier and they told me my child would have to come back in to get another fitting. These people have already wasted enough of my time. I will never go to Visionworks again. Horrible service. read more

I went there for the first time Jan 2 for my daughter and I to get glasses. They got the prescription way WRONG on my daughters glasses (both pair). They retested her eyes and found out the first test was incorrect. They were able to give my daughter 1 pair and now we have to wait for the other pair another week just like the first time. What an inconvenience and shoty work the first optometrist did. The second doctor even said it was way off. The only saving grace is that there was no extra charge (I hope!). I'm going back to Eddington Eye Care because the free second pair isn't worth the experience. read more

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I have been coming to this location for well over 2 years now. I trusted my eye Dr. who diagnosed me with a condition that required laser surgery. Every year I am supposed to have my eyes dilated and checked to make sure everything looks fine. This past May I walked in for my eye exam only to be asked if I was a new patient. This threw me off completely. They gave me paperwork to fill out and asked me if I wanted to spend an extra 35 on an alternate way of viewing my eyes other than dilation. I said sure, and the test was performed. Unfortunately, they could not see the holes that had been sealed in the the back of my retina using that type of exam. Sooo I had to go back into the exam room where I was greeted by a lady who was not my doctor. I asked where my doctor was and they couldn't give me a straight answer because they apparently had no idea where he went. ( this would have been excellent info to know prior to me making this exam appt.) Dr. Lisle who saw me instead kept asking me questions as to why I was there. Why didn't anyone look in my chart first prior to me walking in??? I actually work in the medical field and all the general Dr.s I work for always review a patients chart prior to seeing them in the exam room. So to be told by a man named Brian that they don't do that, and I shouldn't expect them to know why I am there for an appointment is unacceptable. Dr Lisle dilated my eyes since the other test didn't work, and then she falsified my records by saying the dilation was never done. It was done. My husband came with me and is a witness to this taking place. I have no reason to lie, but Dr. Lisle decided to not document what she did to my eyes. She put dilation drops in my eyes to look at my eyes to see the holes that were sealed. I filed a complaint with my insurance company and I have been fighting with them for over a month to reinstate my eye exam so I can go elsewhere! When my insurance called Vision works both Brian and Dr.Lisle told them that my record shows I didn't have my eyes dilated. Brian stuck to his guns because he says he's been working with Dr.Lisle and she has 18 years experience. I don't care how much experience someone has if they treat me poorly and do not chart on their patients properly! I was there, I know what was done and what wasn't done on me, thank you very much!! I walked out of that place without purchasing contacts or glasses because of how mad I was that I saw a doctor who was nonchalant about my eyes and then told me I don't need torc lenses. The whole reason why my stigmatism is getting better is because of my torc lenses. My husband is a witness to what happened, and I cannot believe this Dr. lied to my insurance company. Never go here!!!! Go somewhere else where the provider will review your information prior to you coming into clinic. I will now happily pay 150 out of pocket to a new clinic so I can have my eyes examined correctly and not have my records falsified. This is a great reminder to everyone that Dr.s are not God, and they make mistakes. This mistake cost them a good patient. Words of advise to Vision works.... work on your communication, and keep patients informed when their usual provider isn't going to see them. If I knew I wasn't going to see My regular eye doctor, I NEVER would have come into vision works that day, and I wouldn't have had such a horrendous experience here. Also, if you are going to be taking on another doctors patients, review their records, plain and simple! There is no excuse for the way I was treated. You may think your getting a good deal by going here... but remember, you end up getting what you pay for. read more

Here's the deal, I have been a client for well over a decade and have recently moved out of state and have come back to Colorado for a graduation. We have an emergency with a torn contact and would like to buy a trial pair as we have 6 months at home and don't want to order more because her vision changes so often. They refused to because I wouldn't buy 6 months worth of contacts. Let me explain, myself, my husband, and my daughter have used them exclusively for years and years, I have used them the longest. To not accommodate a loyal client with a pair of contacts that literally cost them $5, if not less, shows a total lack of ethics and customer service. And not only that, they are super expensive. I paid those prices because I was loyal. I don't even have insurance to help me with the cost. This is unacceptable. I am pretty sure if I would have led with the fact we hadn't moved and would still be their customer, they would have said yes. I will never ever go to another Visionworks, in any state. read more

The people at this store need more training. I had to return to the store several times for the same issue. After the third time I gave up. I'll have to go somewhere else to address this issue. I've gone to Visionworks a couple of times because of their low prices. They do have low prices and fast turn times, but the quality of their lenses is poor. I've never had razor-sharp vision with them. Either they don't get the prescriptions quite right, or the lens material is slightly cloudy. I'll be saving up to buy my next glasses elsewhere. read more

This is the first time that I used a business other than my eye doctor to have my eyeglasses made. I've always been nervous about getting inferior service and product. Was I ever pleasantly surprised--I interacted with at least five employees during the process, and I found them professional, personable, and respectful. I am picky, and when the frame had a spot on the tortoise shell that I found distracting, they ordered a new frame to replace it. In the meantime, they let me keep the original frame until the new one arrived. They even adjusted the nosepiece at no charge on another pair of glasses I purchased elsewhere. I don't see customer service like this very often. read more
