    My detached temple off the frame

    Garbage customer service, garbage products, garbage frames, trash talk by the employees. Short story: Nov '24 got a pair of Rx glasses through my insurance. One of the temples was kind of loose compared to the other side. Went back there a couple times in december and they told me it was acceptable and it was my obsession instead. January '25 I go back again and they tell me they can remake the glasses again because I just did not like them according to the employee. I had to leave the glasses there for 2 weeks to be redone and all the period that it took me to adapt to progressive lenses now has to be restarted from scratch and readapt to my old normal glasses again. Considering that I work in surgery, I could not do that and went with their word of just being acceptable movement of the temple. January '26 the temple completely detached when I was putting them on. Went to the store and I GOT KICKED OUT and asked to leave when I complained about this being a manufacturing defect and not misuse or normal wear and tear. I have had my other glasses from abroad for 4 years and still have them with no problens at all. Buyers BEWARE! They sell garbage faulty frames, offer garbage customer service and just want your money with no service. Again, a MINUS 5 stars would be what they deserve.

    Store not open at 10:28!

    Store didn't open until 10:30 (was supposed to be open at 10) when we had 10:20 & 10:40 apts. Store manager "Mario" was rude and dismissive and didn't even have an optometrist on site. When I asked for his info as well as corporates, he said " no, go get it online" I have reached out to cooperate several times and have yet to have anyone or even the district manager follow up. According to others who were waiting for them to open as well, they mentioned they have gone several times and the store wasn't open until well after 10am. Company takes no responsibility and the manager is RUDE! I would NEVER shop there!!! Terrible company, just look at the reviews online!!!! Run don't walk and spend ur money someplace else!!!

My family of 4 followed Dr. Robert here when he started his practice about 12 years ago and we love the eye doctors at Midwest eye. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Optical Department. Very disappointing. I happened to be in the area and arrived right after they opened one morning, not one customer in Optical or in the waiting area. Asked for a 2-3 minute adjustment to my frames that had been purchased there. Overheard front desk asking Lisa in Optical and she said no, I'm busy, she needs to make an appointment. She didn't walk 15 feet to come over to see what I needed or speak to me herself. I had even said I had no problem waiting if she was busy. They just told me to make an appointment and come back another day. No thanks. I'm not going to take time out of my workday and drive 20 minutes each way to come back for something that should take 2 to 3 minutes. This massive lack of customer service is not on brand for the treatment that we receive from Dr. Robert or Bauer and was highly disappointing. Midwest Eye Optical will not be seeing another dime of my hard-earned money. If we didn't love the eye doctors so much I'd be finding a new one for all 4 of my family members. Loyalty & respect go both ways. It's not hard to treat people well. This interaction was not it.

However, my experience with the staff, particularly Collette, was disappointing. After my exam, I worked with Collette to try on frames for my low prescription. I found a pair I liked but decided to hold off until I felt better and could return with a second opinion. Collette made a subtle remark under her breath about hoping the frames would still be there, which struck me as unnecessary. Two days later, she called to ask if I was coming back for the frames. When I explained that I was still deciding and had requested a copy of my prescription, her tone noticeably shifted. She sounded curt and dismissive, and told me getting my prescription wasn't her department, even though the front desk is only steps away. When I later called back for an update, she answered again and was just as dismissive. I didn't feel confident my request would be followed through, and asked to speak with someone else. Her response made it clear that helping me was a burden. Ultimately, I had to make a third contact and visit the office in person to get my prescription. Even then, it wasn't signed by the doctor, and no one, including Collette, acknowledged the confusion or offered an apology. I've worked in customer service and wouldn't speak to any customer the way I was spoken to. I expected more from an office with such strong reviews and designer branding. Unfortunately, due to the unprofessional behavior I experienced, I won't be returning.
