After reading all the negative feedback, I too was a little apprehensive about visiting this location. However, it's proximity to my house made it convenient for me. This location was one of the providers for my insurance plan and I really needed some new glasses. I decided to overlook the bad reviews and to my surprise, my visit was not all terrible. All the staff and the doctor were very friendly and they all had a great sense of humor. Now, picking out glasses is, I think, the hardest thing to every do(aside from purchasing a car). Anyways, one of the staff members asked if I needed help and indeed I did! The girl who helped me looked like a little fashionista herself, so of course I would trust her opinion on what looked great. I am sure you don't want to read the whole process of my visit, but long story short, they were able to get me a great pair of glasses at the right price. Like one of the reviews written previously, the girl who helped me also took the time to figure the lowest cost out of my pocket with regards to their promotions and my insurance. Adalya was great. My glasses were not correct. So, she took the time to re-measure and re-fit and re-order my glasses - both pairs. She called me when they were ready, she made sure they were correct and she took her time with me and was very patient, friendly and understanding If all the employees were like her, they'd get all 5 star reviews. read more

This place was terrible. First of all the representative I had didn't know what she was doing and she kept making mistakes entering my order. She kept having to wait for help from another employee. It took her over half an hour just to place my contacts order. They told me i would be getting a rebate but they never gave me the correct receipts to be able to have my rebate processed. I came here for an eye exam because it was covered under my insurance, but their contacts and glasses are double the price than they are at target optical. After getting my glasses made, the doctor totally screwed up my prescription, I couldn't even see out of the glasses. I came back to visionworks, got another eye exam from a different doctor, who told me that the first prescription was way off and she was sorry, didn't know how that could happen. Never coming back again, these people are very unprofessional, you can't make mistakes like that when you're dealing with people's vision. read more

I was at the golf Mill shopping Center, intending later to go to an optical store in my neighborhood. This was a half hour ride from where I live but Maggie's greeting was so warm and friendly that I walked in to tell her what I had in mind. There was not the slightest bit of selling but quite an education from Maggie. She explained what my prescription meant and the various options and combinations available. I apologized for taking so much time but she said "no, I enjoy explaining these things and that's what I'm here for." I felt so comfortable and confident with Maggie and the surroundings that I purchased a complete pair with the best progressive lenses, with transition, scratch resistant and glare resistant all for less than half of what a family member just paid for a pair without all of those enhancements at the neighborhood store I intended to visit later. The glasses were available several days before the promised date and I was notified by email. I picked them up yesterday and intended to complete the purchase with Maggie but she was off work that day. I was greeted by Norma, another gem, with 15 years of experience. She explained the proper use of progressive lenses and assured me that if I have any problems or I am not comfortable or satisfied, I can bring them back and a new pair will be made for me. Everyone there was so friendly, It felt like I entered a family owned business. I would give ZERO stars if possible!! My bank account was charged a mystery $100 from them on TOP of what I already paid!! I waited a week thinking it would be refunded and it was not. When I went into the store hoping to get an appology and a refund they told me they never took that out of my account and said i forged my bank statement. After calling my bank and having them TELL vision works they still said they never did that and there was nothing they could do. ALL of the employees were very nasty and rude to me about it stating that's not their problem and directed me to some horrible customer service phone number. read more

My name is Dennis and I am just a customer and not a relative of anybody at Visionworks. I have a rather difficult prescription that Visionworks was able to complete without any errors. The staff at Visionworks were patient and very attentive to my rather difficult prescription which they completed successfully and with excellent customer care. Norma and Denise and Adela have excellent customer care skills and excellent technical skills in picking out frames and in my circumstances completing a very difficult and intricate prescription. I highly recommend Visionworks because of its excellent staff and it's excellent customer care as well as it's highly excellent technical skills. I don't see why this place has 1.5 stars, but I do understand why it's not 5 stars. Our appointment was set for 6:30, but they took us in at 7:15. For some reason, they were behind because of "walk-ins", and the lady told me on the phone that if I walked in without an appointment. I would wait 30-60 minutes. So.... since we waited 45 minutes with an appointment, I guess you really don't need an appointment. My mom got the $19 eye exam, and the service she got for that was 5/5 stars. The optometrist explained the different types of lenses my mom can buy, but at one point, it seemed like she was trying to convince my mom to buy lenses that she really doesn't need (she was doing it for business). So i suggest, when you go in, ask if you will pass the DMV test with your current eye vision, if she says yes, then don't worry about buying those lenses (because they will try to convince you to buy them). Also, the pAperwork they make you fill out is kind of useless, because the assistant asks you the same questions again anyway. read more

I was hesitant about going here because of the earlier negative reviews, but I had a pleasant experience. Arrived for my appointment and was greeted by a sales associate who was helping someone else, but said she would be with me shortly. The wait wasn't long at all. The optometrist was great. He made friendly banter while giving the eye exam and got me on my way. No high pressure sales tactics. Was done and on my way in about thirty minutes. When I went to Visionworks I can honestly say they have a HUGE selection of frames. However be prepared to pay big bucks for a complete pair of eyeglasses! They were running a special, buy one get one free. My daughter picked out a cute pair of frames for $119. Was told on top of that the lenses were an extra $75 plus $99 for no-glare even for the free pair an extra $99! So for two pair of glasses it would be $392 plus tax. What a rip off!!!!!!!! Went to costco and got one pair of glasses with no-glare for $112. Wow, would never recommend visionwork unless you want to get robbed. read more
