I went in to pick them up and the problem wasn't solved. The arms/legs of the glasses were still loose and charged me $200 and did not document what they replaced or fixed. I indicated that they didn't solve the problem and was not happy. They said glasses were fine as they replaced the bridge. I asked them if they did a full assessment of the glasses, and they "said" they replaced the bridge. I said I cannot wear them because they are loose and still flimsy. How do you charge someone but don't fix the problem? I will be filing with the better business bureau especially since I'm a senior. Very Dissatisfied Customer.

Always had a great experience with Dr. Gusippe - he is a good optometrist. It's the office manager and the rest of the office that there is an issue with. Recently went to pick up glasses and and sun glasses. I could not see out of the lenses, pain in my eyes when wearing and the sunglasses seemed wavy so could not wear them either. I wanted to return both pair, but they would not give me a refund for the lenses! Only refunded me for the frames. Even when I could not see out of them. I called them a day after wearing g the glasses, but had to see dr before they would let me return them. I had them for a week and tried to wear them. I had been to another eye dr about a year ago, and when the glasses didn't work, they refunded in full. I guess with a new office, they need the money..... CRAZY that they won't refund a customers money when the glasses do not work!!!! They lost a long time customer. This is not the same place I have been going to for years.

The day before our appointment, they cancelled my partner's appointment and lied about calling to confirm. When we called to figure out what went wrong, the guy on the phone was either a complete idiot or totally uninterested in getting new patients for this practice. Maybe both. The kinds of people doctors hire to interact with patients tells you a lot about what you can expect from the doctor. This is a major red flag.

I went to Alan Optical on 11/10/25 and although I only went over my frame allowance by $25 I was charged and paid (stupidly) $807. I thought...well maybe there will be an adjustment when I get the EOB. The EOB dated 11/25/25 says I owe $375 so I call Alan Optical and they say, oh, this was billed wrong. We just dont know how much we owe you. We will work on it. They apparently rebill because on 3/9/26 I get a NEW EOB saying I owe $80. I call Alan Optical and they say the EOB is wrong and tbe insurance company (who THEY contracted with) is notoriously difficult to deal with. I explain my frustration and I'm told basically to go pound sand. She literally told me "you're acting like this is my fault." I have emailed both EOBs and made calls and I have to deal with the fact that I got ripped off. Beware.
