As you could see on my previous review the caramel was not even there and unfortunately I was not happy. So after my return they corrected the problem and I am writing a 5 star Review and that's what an Amy's ice cream supposed to look like and taste like. I recommend this location plenty of parking easy peasy!

What was pretty annoying is given how busy they were, not all the staff were working. There were three people, but only two were helping customers. The third just stood behind the counter and just observed the chaos. And the people who were working, didn't seem to care very much. There is a sign stating if you were to guess a trivia question, you would get a free topping. The server who took my order, I asked her three times and she just ignored me. When I finally made it very explicit I was trying to guess the trivia question, she told me she didn't know what the answer was. I'm happy to pay for any toppings, but what is the point of having this "trivia challenge" if the workers don't even know the answer? When I received my cup of ice cream, it looked like it was mostly melted - if you look at the photo, you can see I took this at the shop as I received my order. I honestly had a few bites and ended up throwing it away. I did also purchase a pint of their Mexican Vanilla which was quite good. When you visit the website, the pictures look amazing. It's too bad what you get doesn't even remotely resemble what is in the photos online. It's just ice cream!

I had a fussy 10mo and needed something to do inside as it's very cold. We've never been to Almost Grown and it seemed like a good way for my kid to let off steam. This is a very cute cafe and ice cream shop with a play place in the back. It's a $10 admission per child, parents get in free. The admission here is $8 less than Pikopye's and you're able to just walk in. Love that. As some yelpers have mentioned, it is a bit chaotic as there are so many toys around. There are lots of tables to sit and eat at within the play area. There are different play areas such as a doctor's office set up complete with little scrubs, hats, and stethoscopes. There's a firefighting area with fire fighter gear. As well as a farmer's market area with tons of toy produce. All the toys from each play area are scattered amongst the entire play room. I'm kind of wondering how often they sanitize all the toys/costumes/tables etc. as there are a lot of kids with runny noses here. Overall it's a good place for kids to come and socialize/burn some energy.

Luckily for her, Austin has no shortage of great ice cream shops to visit when she's in town. Since we were already in the area, I told her we had to try Manolis, which had been on my list for months. Located at a food truck park near Dripping Springs, Manolis stands out immediately as a massive truck at the front. Ordering is done on iPads while you wait in line, and you pick up at the window. I ordered a small of their stracciatella, while my girlfriend got a small waffle cone of the dulce de leche. Simply put, it was amazing. The flavors were strong without being too sweet or over the top, and I was extremely impressed. This knocks a lot of ice cream shops out of the water, and they're just a food truck. I would genuinely go out of my way to get ice cream here. That's how good it is. I'm glad I made the trip out to Manolis, and it was worth every minute of my 45 minute drive back home because it was GAS. Moved like prime Vince Carter because it's too smooth.

It's a really cool open space with shaded seating, misters, and lights for when it gets darker outside. There was a long line so it was a bit of a wait but that allowed us to look at the menu and decide what we wanted to order. When we got to the front of the line we were greeted by a friendly man that took our order at the window. My husband paid and we waited for our order. After a few minutes it was ready and we picked it up from the Pickup window and found a place to sit. My husband ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream in a small cup and my son ordered the Cookie Dough Ice Cream in a waffle cone. I tried both of them. The Chocolate Peanut Butter was good. The Chocolate flavor overpowered the Peanut Butter flavor with every bite. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was really good. I could taste all of the yummy flavors. Overall Manolis is in a cool outdoor space, the service was friendly and the Ice Cream was really good.
