I don't usually look for doctors on Yelp, but my daughter was complaining about an eye issue at school, and our regular eye doctor was not available - so I looked at Yelp. The reviews are accurate! They squeezed us in this morning (Sat). The doctor was super nice and did a through exam, explained the issue, and made sure my daughter understood too. Such a wonderful place! I had an eye injury that was work related and had the opportunity to come to Visualeyes Optometry to get it checked out furthermore. I cannot say enough nice things about Visualeyes Optometry. Every staff member I interacted with in person and over the phone was very patient and helpful. First, Angelica was very welcoming and friendly and walked me through their Covid guidelines. She was also patient as she assisted with my retinal imaging. My exam was performed by Dr.Younany, who was very patient, kind, and professional. She explained everything related to my eye exam and was able to diagnose the cause of the poor vision in my right eye. She answered every question I had and was very straightforward in regards to my condition and what to expect in the future. Lastly, Noemi was very helpful and patient as I cycled through various frames and was indecisive on the type of coating I wanted for my lenses. She walked me through various options and prices with certain types of lenses and frames, and answered every question I had. Overall I had a great experience and appreciated how kind and courteous the staff were. I will definitely be returning for future eye exams. read more

I am from out of town and on my first day in LA I lost my contact. I called multiple places and no one would give me just one contact to hold me off for the weekend I finally came across Visualeyes Optometry and they were able to accommodate me and gave me two pairs of contacts plus a bottle of solution and charged me absolutely nothing. I cold called Visualeyes trying to get a same day appointment and Rochelle answered the phone--- she is very friendly and puts your needs first -- she was able to work her magic and get me in to see the Dr. that afternoon. After I arrived, she immediately made me feel comfortable. I saw Dr. Chowdhry, she was very thorough with her exam and turned me back over to Rochelle to find new frames. We especially love Suzie because she is very sweet and patient. My son adores her. She takes her time with us and answers all our questions. Pros: great doctors and friendly staff. This was my first optometrist in Los Angeles when I moved down from Seattle. I went to "the Optometrist down the street" when I lived in Sherman Oaks and have continued to return even when I moved to Hollywood and then down to Marina del Rey. I am beyond satisfied with the service and professionalism of the front office staff and am confident the care of my eyesight could not be treated better anywhere else. They have a wide variety of glasses: from what will be covered by your insurance all the way up to Prada. So long as I don't move down to San Diego or back home to Seattle, I'll be returning every year! read more

I just visited this store for the first time today and was more than impressed. (1) Dr. Dodge is great! He's friendly, professional, and extremely competent in his field (I have some more serious eye issues and have been to multiple optometrists and aside from my specialist none have impressed me as much as Dr. Dodge) (2) Their front desk staff are really nice and friendly as well as professional (3) Their equipment is up to date and supersedes that of many optometrist offices. To add to all of this, I had an appointment for 8am this morning, as sometimes happens, they did not have a record of my appointment (please do not hold this against them). Instead of making a fuss, or doubting me, they apologized profusely and made sure I was seen immediately without making me feel rushed and taking care of their other clients as well. What a wonderful first time experience. There were a couple of other things during my short 35min visit which also impressed me about Dr. Dodge - He double checks everything, because of my eye condition the machines which are normally extremely accurate in reading a persons prescription did not gauge mine accurately, Dr. Dodge, was on it and made sure he did not simply follow the read of a computer. - Dr. Dodge is extremely knowledgeable. The brand of contact lens I want to go back to wearing is about to be discontinued (Vertex Toric) and so he explored all of my options with me and is willing to bend over backwards to make sure I am wearing the most comfortable lenses for me, not just what everyone else thinks are the latest and greatest. In case you can't tell.... bottom line, Visualeyes Optometry really impressed me today. read more

The staff was attentive, taking time to explain the exams, paperwork, etc. My time with Dr. Dodge couldn't have been better. He was clear, concise, very informative and helped me make some good short and long-term decisions based on my diagnosis. I went in for my annual checkup and had a great experience. I ended up being really early and instead of making me wait for my scheduled appointment, Dr. Dodge was able to accommodate me right away. He ran all the tests and answered all my questions with ease, making me feel very comfortable. Then as it turns out my insurance covered eyeglasses so, after a few more of my questions, he pointed me to a pair and the staff helped me look at some others.
