I most highly recommend Vital Link! Vital Link has provided exceptional service for the past 11 years! Any time (perhaps 1-2 times each year) when my wife used the emergency device, my son or I were contacted immediately by Vital Link staff. They are very well trained and one can hear their calmness and empathy when communicating "she may be in need of immediate assistance". If either of us could not be reached, they contacted the fire dept. who sent an ambulance to her home. I have been a Vital Link user since 2021- I feel a great sense of safety knowing I can access medical or emergency services immediately by pushing a button- A year ago, I had a break-in to my house. When the Policeman came to make a report, he told me the best security I had was the Vital Link alert button. Vital Link offered us such a valuable service for over 10 years. We had peace of mind knowing my elderly mother had subscribed to Vital Link. A true life saver. I signed up my mother for this service so she could be assured that she had a "safety net" while living alone. Even though she lived in an independent elderly facility the emergency pull cords are only in the bathroom or by her bed. While walking back to her room from dinner, she had a mini stroke but knew enough to activate her necklace and within minutes of her blacking out and falling she was in an ambulance and on her way to the hospital. I am totally convinced without Vital Link she could have been on the ground possibly for hours before someone would have found her. 100% satisfied. While they are based in the Bay Area, they can set up a medical alert device anywhere in the U.S. I can't say how relieved I am to have the services of Vital Link to watch over my beloved family members. We have used Vital Link for my aunt, mother and sister. Aunt Lee lived in San Diego and was growing infirm and had major health issues. She lived alone in her house and we were all worried about her falling or having a medical emergency. She agreed to have Vital Link install a medical alert device only because I told her it would make me feel better but in the end it helped her to stay independent and enjoy her own home. My mother lived in a senior complex in San Diego where each apartment had an emergency pull cord in the bathroom. She was frail and in ill health and I was concerned that she might not be able to reach the pull cord if she had an issue. I used Vital Link's services for my elderly mother when I moved her to CA a few years back. When she had to push the button the response was immediate. It might have saved her life. I also used the service, this time for me, after a head injury earlier this year. There wasn't always someone around me and I needed the security that I wasn't completely alone. It enabled me to do things I would have had to wait and do later - like shower! Yes you can wear the alert button when you shower. It also allowed me to sleep peacefully. This company is absolutely the best choice for this kind of service. If anyone you love has trouble with falling down or needing help and not being able to reach it, this is your answer. The staff are all wonderful and knowledgeable. The price can't be beat and the response time is instant. My mother has used hers a few times and, since she was conscious, they would even call me to ask if I would like to go take care of her myself or if I would like to call an ambulance (I only work a couple of blocks away, so I could get there quickly). Vital Link greatly assisted our family over the past several years. Our elderly mother insisted on living in her own home but she was susceptible to falls and was hundreds of miles from any family. Vital Link was essential to her independence! Her account was set up so that when she had cause to use her Vital Link alarm, she was immediately called to see what type of assistance she required. In addition, I would also be called so that I was aware she had fallen. The equipment is easy to use and she never had any problems with it. My Grandmother has leased the Vital Link unit for the past 15 years. She has the voice unit and water proof pendant. She used the unit at her home in Kentucky, an assisted living facility, and now she lives here in Berkeley. All still on her own and independent thanks to this system. Top rate! These folks are fantastic -- they actually care! The customer service is way above what I was receiving elsewhere. I needed a system for my Mom that would activate automatically if she fell, even if she didn't press the button on her pendant necklace. Also, the base station comes in two options -- it can be hooked up through the phone line, or through cellular. We chose the cellular because my Mom forgets to hang up the phone properly and that would make any medical alarm system not work. Nobody explained this to me at the other place. The "other place" is Connect America. I felt their customer service was horrible and their fall alarm pendent had lots of false alarms. I would avoid those folks. read more

A LIFE SAVER! I was referred to this company over others specifically because of the personal attention and care that they give to their customers. And we've had them for 8 years now for my aged mother (who's had multiple strokes over the years) and this has been an absolute must have service. Customer service is WONDERFUL, the emergency calls that are made are handled perfectly. I originally got it for my mom (and for my mental sanity!) when she was up in northern CA and I was in Los Angeles, so I could make sure that if she had any problem, like if she fell, or had another stroke, or needed an ambulance, all she would have to do is push a button. It has helped many times. They call me and my backup numbers if my mom needs minor help, but if they feel they need to call an ambulance they do that and then call me. And NOW, I've moved my mother down to live with me so I can look after her more closely at my home, and when I am away, I feel secure that if something happens Vital Link will be there and they always are.. Even when I am in the bedroom and I can't hear my mom, if she needs some help, she can push the button and it wakes me up and I can go and help here. Every single time I contact representatives they are extremely nice, patient, and understanding and extremely professional and good at what they do. This is a well trained outfit. And as I mentioned, even though they are in Oakland, they are serving me wonderfully down here in southern CA now. They can handle people all over the country. But I like that they aren't one of those huge, multi office national chains who do this, because those people aren't nearly as well trained and you never know what kind of help you're going to get with some of the other outfits I've been told. And when an emergency happens to your loved one, you want a company with good and experienced workers. They save lives, and take care of our loved ones, and they care.
