Turkey and fresh MUZZ with roasted peppers, mayo, balsamic vinegar, and salt & pepper

Since my first few visits to this place I had to drop a star because of just one person.. There is this one older lady who just seems absolutely miserable to be there, at least any time I go in (try to avoid her). But honestly, if you block her nasty attitude out and focus on the food, it's all still worth it because they don't skimp on portions, and the food is still good.

My experience was only okay. Personally, I find bakeries with signage really helpful, and this place only had a few (maybe a third) of their products labelled with what they were and no sign prices anywhere. This isn't unique to Vito's, but I prefer bakeries with more informational signs so I don't have to ask (what's that/how much?) for like 10 different options once I reach the counter and all that information can be provided while I'm waiting in line so I don't hold it up. My friend got a red velvet cookie, but there was only one, so I didn't get one as well. I got a cheese puff which was very crunchy and had very little cheese filling. My friend popped his in the microwave for a few seconds to heat it up/make it softer. Some people may prefer crunchy baked goods, but if I'm going to a bakery, I want that soft, right out of the oven taste. These items didn't taste any different from what you'd get a grocery store that's been sitting out all day. The plaza is pretty crowded, but I've never had an issue getting a parking lot (even though it's usually pretty full). Their cakes looked nice though. Maybe some of their pastries are home runs, but I didn't really get that on my visit.

I picked up a "double" chocolate cake for my wife's birthday, and it should've been called a quadruple chocolate cake!!! Moist chocolate cake, chocolate pudding between the layers, covered all over in a very light (whipped I believe), milk chocolate icing, and then the whole cake had a dark chocolate shell! It was CRAZY good!!

The manager is a nasty woman , i ordered pastries on line for 11/22 the day before thanksgiving , the minute i placed the order i recieved a text from vitos bakery/door dash informing me my delivery will be arriving 11/20 instead of 11/22.on their website is a phone #to call and it specifys call this # to cancel your order, i called imediatly , no one answered, i left two voice mails , now this is five min after the order was placed . I also called in the morning 7am and spoke to a worker who said she will notify her manager to call me back and adress the situation . She called me back and said dont worry. The order was still delivered on the 20th . She called me back again and said u placed your order on the 20th i am reading it right now , if u have a problem with the delivery call door dash enjoy the pastries. I advise anyone do not do business with these people , very unprofessional , they do not know how to satify their customers . The manager does not let u get a word in she just keeps talking and talking . Do not do business with them . No curtosey and they dont appreciate Your business. It gets even better, heres a pic of my order and heres what they send me. Plus the jelly tart cookies are old and cracked and they shorted me items plus delivered it 2days early, they shorted me 3 lobster tails and one carrot cake,And they charged me for them. What a bunch of clowns, the only reason i gave them one star is its the only way it would post they really dont deserve any stars for the way they treat paying customers

The display case is packed with beautiful Italian pastries and breads that look (and taste) straight out of a bakery in Italy. I went with the pistachio croissant. It was fresh, flaky, buttery, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. Also got a prosciutto sandwich in ciabatta bread. The bread was a bit tough but I guess that's how ciabatta bread works. It tasted great though!. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully made. Service was friendly and helpful; the staff happily explained the different filled croissants and options when I asked. Will definitely return next time I'm in American Dream Mall!

There were also a ton of options to choose from, which made it fun just deciding what to try. Unfortunately, the taste didn't quite live up to the presentation. While everything looked amazing, the flavors were pretty mediocre and didn't stand out as much as expected. Overall, it's a great place if you want a pretty dessert experience or cute photos, but not necessarily the best if you're looking for bold, memorable flavors.

But the staff was incredibly welcoming right from the start, and that alone earns them five stars. You never know what to expect in a new neighborhood, but they set the tone immediately. The vibe of the restaurant is very comfortable. It is the kind of spot you walk into after a long day or a productive day and you just know you are about to eat something good. It feels like a family run place, even if it is not actually run by family. It has that warmth. You can tell it is an important part of the neighborhood. I even noticed pictures of community members on the wall, which says a lot. Now, the food. There is hot food, cold food, and plenty of items you can take home. I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich, and let me tell you, it was the size of a skinny football. I am not exaggerating. It took me almost a day and a half to finish it. It tasted exceptional, and I actually had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting so I would not slip into a food coma. One tip, eat it while it is hot. That is when it is at its peak power. My friend agreed with me about the overall vibe and quality. If I am ever in the neighborhood again, I will gladly go out of my way just to try more of their dishes. You do not find spots like this easily. New York City has great food, but a place with this combination of warmth, quality, portion size, and charm is rare. In another city, this could easily be a reservation only spot packed every night. Here, it fits perfectly in the community. Great job to everyone there. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

The last three times I've ordered. 1st time- I ordered on Uber eats, an egg and cheese sandwich and they sent it brick cold. I've been getting this sandwich for years. I'm not sure if they forgot to put butter on it but the sandwich is typically never dry. Not sure what happened there. 3rd attempt- At store. The new employees seemed frazzled and you need to repeat your order to them about 10 times because they keep forgetting what you just told them one minute ago. I love this place and I'm only giving this review so that it doesn't go downhill. There are a lot of new cafés opening up in the area and I would hate for them to be left in the dust. The owner is very kind and cares about her customers, so I know she will care about this review and do something about it.
