IMPRESSIVE PLACE…read more Wow, I'm flabbergasted. I had an apartment in Willoughby in the 90s and it wasn't a bar back then. I'll tell you they're open early. I had a wonderful Smashburger for 14 with blue cheese. They open at 11 AM. It's here in downtown Willoughby the historic section. It's attached to an old train car that Marilyn and JFK rode in. Wow. It's very nice to walk in off the dining room which was the old round house for the train. This is an impressive place. I can't believe I've never been, the bartender and owner are fantastic. Owner is a big hockey fan I was talking to him about Derek Sanderson. He's from Boston. Five stars all the way I'll come here every time passing through. Just take the lost nation Road exit & your way back there.

I have to rethink that because of this very eatery. The food was good. Not blow me out of the water amazing but certainly tummy filling fare. I had the prime rib and added mushrooms, peppers and onions with a side of au jus. The meat was a bit on the drier side and a little tough. But...onion rings on the side...yes please for these sweet, savory, crispy little rings of greatness. The lettuce wedge salad and crisp, light and satisfying...it just lacked a balsamic glaze to add the need touch of sweetness. And a Spicy Cucumber Martini with a Tajin rim...all you need is one, but you'll want more! Sweet with the sour Tajin jolt was in perfect balance. It is made with jalepeno tequila which I got notes of, but it could have been a bit spicier. So, with the issues, why not a 4 star review, you may ask... It was the service. Hands down the greatest service I have ever had. Our server was at our table to greet us with menus in literal seconds. She was bright, bubbly, and sweet as apple pie. She gave suggestions, hyped the food and drinks. She was efficient and we never lacked for anything. I felt like she was just serving us even though she had a seated area, a bar area, and an outdoor seating space to take care of that was overflowing with people for the holiday weekend with a band! And the set-up of the restaurant itself was just cool, chill and playful. The barn like feel was so inviting and the outdoor option to sit could make it feel like a new place everytime you come! That's why it's a 5 star. Definitely on my visit again and soon list.

For those who need a wheelchair entrance- they had one setup in the front. The portions of food are generous! The staff is super kind. And, it has a very intimate vibe to it. They have a large selection of house wines as well as other brands. The server was kind but didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine. All the dishes are enormous and meant to be shared. We shared the goat cheese with blackberry preserves and a Genoa flatbread and even with the three of us, we had a lot to take home with us. The duo and the flatbread were both incredible. The flatbread is actually two whole flatbreads and the dip was the size of a dinner plate. They were kind to get us an extra loaf of bread to go with the dip because we ran out. Their kitchen closed at 8 even though they were open until 9. That was about annoying because we considered ordering an additional dish but worked out fine since the dishes were so large.

When we walked in, we stood by the door for 10 mins waiting for someone to talk to us. A young girl working walked by MANY times and even made eye contact but if we went to say something - she would turn the other way. Even the bartender was staring at us but didn't say a word. Eventually we had to follow her to ask her if we sets ourselves or if we must wait... she responded "yeah sit wherever that's how this place works" (are bad we had never been here before...) Once we found a table in the back we figured someone would come hand us menus, the same worker even walked by to hand another table their check and nothing! After 15 mins waiting we left. I certainly hope no one else gets treated like this here, but I am so sad... I wanted to love this place, it was so cute!

It's like a wine shop meets date spot. I've been here multiple times over the years for dates, solo evenings, and Cleveland Heights Neighborhood Beer Crawl. Wine Spot was a nice backdrop for all these days. INVENTORY: You'll find an entire long wall of various wines organized by the type of wine. You'll find Dom Perignon and wines under $35 coexisting in the same space. You'll also find beers, THC drinks, sake, and a lot more. You'll also find so much beyond wine - sardines, chocolate, and gift baskets. It's an ideal location to shop for gifts and build a basket. I don't have any particular recommendations. I usually ask staff for recommendations and gravitate toward white wines. Except during CLE Beer week I tried two different beers here - Executive Decision by the Butcher and the Brewer, Yakima Chief Forward from Fat Heads Brewery. AMBIANCE: Market vibes with tables and bar available for guests. The ambiance is nice, casual, quiet enough for a date. There is a lot of space for groups including a private room. SERVICE: Service is pretty friendly but tends to be slower. What I love about here is that they can chill wine bottles upon purchase. You can immediately go home with a chilled bottle of wine and get into your evening. Aside from this reason, there are plenty to do at the winery - events, monthly wine club, and more. Long story short, visit!

We called to find if there was availability and due to the weather there was a lighter crowd than normal. We drove down from the Cleveland Clinic at 5:15pm. Pulling into the parking lot the winery is in a residential area and grapevines surround the place. Nicely landscaped and designed facility. Inside the atmosphere is what you Would expect if visiting a winery. Smaller tables, wine racks, soft sofas, and a big bar. Really nice. We drink reds, so Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot were ordered as they rated high/the best in California's latest wine competition. Young wines (less than 3 years) but good. The Pinot Noir was outstanding. Dinners are shared (I learned that) so order with that in mind. We had 1/2 loaf of bread, Vineyard Salad (excellent house dressing) and it was crisp, and Spaghetti Bolognese. All was prepared and presented very well. I'd order again. General Mgr Pete was personable and a wealth of information. Sun his graciousness, he offered a quick tour (and as a home winemaker myself) this was a treat. The production area was clean, limited in space, and organized. A barrel room is always a treat to visit and MA's is climate and humidity controlled. And of course smells fantastic. A great visit! And a return trip is planned soon. Oh crud, visit the bakery! Delicious and a must for chocolate lovers. And non-chocolate lovers too.
