    Lengua fries
    Jovanni A.

$20 for this... They think a medium soda will make up for the ridiculous price. You may think it's ok bcz the meat(lengua) is extremely delicious but no, it's a bad as it looks. Go to any other place. Asada fries $14 Cabeza fries $18 All equally bad

Person who is running the counter is on her phone texting while I just stand there, she contd even after her coworkers pointed me out.

This is why their drive through is so slow and the service is shit...even after her coworkers pointed me out she continued texting on her phone...which is how I was able to take the picture. I don't even know if I want to eat this burrito now Btw..there were about 4-5 cars in the drive thru which is why I went inside.

No recomendó.

If your craving a good breakfast burrito on the east side then viva el taco is the place. I ordered a chorizo egg potato and cheese breakfast burrito. This burrito is so tasty and satisfying. The size of it is worth the price as well. It's about 7 bucks. Well worth it. I definitely recommend trying it.

I travel far for this place, but I only do it for one item on their menu that rivals all the other places. Their Carne Asada fries are to die for. If you try them just on their own they are amazing. I like them with the green sauce, and the price actually fits the dish. The carne asada fries easily better than Robertos Tacos and Tacos el gordo. I would recommend them lol just be prepared to break diets for this

Pricing I found is a bit cheaper then some of the other Mexican food chains. Only issue I've had is they did not understand a request to add something and messed up my order once.

Chicken Nacho with No Chips and No Cheese!!!!!

I usually come here once a week. I really like the chicken nachos. Although I was very very disappointed tonight. There was NO CHIPS!!!! I really enjoyed the chicken but I saved it so I can go buy some chips to eat it with it and cheese. Make my own. Shame on the cook for ruining my nachos tonight!!!!

Wednesday specials are really good. They can have a little bit of an attitude if you ask for ground beef.

The only thing you…read morewon't see is pollo (chicken), but if its meat from a cow or pig, it's probably available. A word of warning, despite offering street tacos, this isn't really "fast" food, I stood in line for nearly an hour at lunchtime on a Friday. Layout and ordering can be confusing but start by finding a tray, if they are busy, there nay not be any at the counter. As you enter, scan the menu. If you are alone, Get in the line that matches most of what you w nt. Better still if you are not alone is the divide and conquer system, each person getting in line for a meat you want. If alone, you can order mire than one, you just order that lines meat, say lengua tacos, then let them know you also want however many of whatever meat/what, say 3 adobado tacos. You do NOT pay at the counter instead weaving your way back toward the register where you pay.

Its usually still busy late into the night because of all the night owls. My husband and I only come to eat after the clubs or a night out because its a vibe. Yes lines can be long, but never too long where we ever walk out. We always get Tripa and Lengua tacos with everything on them. I don't have much experience in other taco places to compare, but I only go to places that offer more than asada. Is the place amazing good? Not sure to say but I will say if you like soft and tender lengua and crispy, semi fatty tripa then I like it best here so far. Is it overhyped? Maybe, but I think they're good.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food with an atmosphere that's full of nostalgia and heart,…read moreLa Vecindad Mexican Restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we felt like we had stepped into the world of the beloved classic Mexican television show El Chavo del 8. The décor perfectly captures the charm and warmth of "la vecindad," making it a fun experience for both adults who grew up watching the show and younger generations experiencing it for the first time. The food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared with authentic Mexican flavors that truly stood out. The drinks were just as impressive--refreshing, expertly made, and the perfect complement to our meal. What really made our visit special was the incredible service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel like family from start to finish. The restaurant also has a wonderful family-friendly atmosphere where everyone can relax, laugh, and enjoy a great meal together. La Vecindad isn't just a place to eat--it's an experience filled with delicious food, amazing drinks, exceptional service, and a nostalgic tribute to El Chavo del 8 that brings smiles to every table.
