    2 slices of cheese
    Raya V.

Passing thru town during COVID19, this was one of the only places in Pittsfield that we could grab a slice. Found them on YELP. Thank goodness we did because it was a nice, clean spot in a little shopping plaza. We're from NY so maybe a little bias, but the pizza was definitely good. I liked the huge slices. I'm used to slice specials being from NY, but they didn't have any. It didn't matter though because the slices were reasonably priced. Paid about $6+ for two HUGE cheese slices. This will definitely be one of our go-to oizza spots when we are in the area.

Soggy bread old meat that was probably sitting there all day and because they were close to closing they shipped it off to me disgusting

I come up with the assumption that this business doesn't care about deliveries and they only put effort into in-store order ordered Vivaldi's last night .... since moving to Pittsfield from Boston it would be my fourth time eating at this establishment! The first time was OK not the greatest I got a plain cheese pizza rate 3.5 Second time was disgusting I got two subs the chicken fingers in my sub were very fatty and couldn't be chewed ... they came back picked it up and brought me a new sub and I got an Italian this time instead and that was even worse than the chicken finger...: the meat was jus horrible but I'll take into account that it was late in the end of the night perhaps they didn't wanna open anything new from my little old sub! My wife's rap was just terrible and just all in all the experience was just bad bad we didn't eat it at all The guy said he would give me a credit to use next time I want to order after 10 minutes of discussion and him originally being hesitant to do anything for me... The stipulation would be I would have to come pick it up because he's not going to deliver to me a free order I agreed because I didn't have much of a choice! I waited a good two months before deciding to use the credit and give them another shot so two weeks ago I went and got a chicken Parm calzone mind you In Boston that is a very popular choice and I figured how could they go wrong with a chicken Parm calzone granted when I got the sub before the chicken was not the greatest but like I said it was the end of the night so I took that into account and ordered a calzone earlier in the night .... the calzone was delicious and truly great!! The manager was super nice and I take back everything I have my terrible experience the first two times and enjoyed myself with such a great tasty calzone my only problem was they don't make chicken Parm calzone is out here in fact they never even heard of it told me that they could put the sauce on the side which was fine I really didn't care too much for it just found it strange that no one gets it out here but neither here or there we were back in business with each other and I was appreciative so now last night I ordered and got the same thing and let me just tell you it was like a whole new place made this calzone it was truly disgusting and worse than all of my experiences and I'm not sure if it was because The last time I got the calzone the manager himself made it for me and he wanted to make sure there was no issues I hate to be that guy that always has a problem but this was legitimately a problem the calzone had way too much cheese I mean there was so much cheese that it was nauseating i'm going to post a picture of it it's fine to have extra cheese if I requested it but I wanted a plain chicken Parm calzone and since you guys don't have chicken Parm on the menu I want to just chicken and cheese and sauce on the side like I was told Instead of calling and making a complaint again I'd rather just not even deal with them anymore I'm not gonna go through the wall embarrassment of coming in and getting a credit If you are the owner or manager and you see this I think you should really get things together with your employees because the non care to customers is awful I can Boston are used to get takeout two times a week due to work not having time to cook for my kids so you're losing a lot of business because I don't like to go to a bunch of different places and I like to stick with one business if you'd like my business back and you see this maybe you can contact me and see if we can resolve this someway otherwise I give up as far as the calzone I'm not going to eat it I'm just going to throw in the trash

Im giving this pizzeria 5 star mostly for exceptional service and consistency time and again . Pepperoni and mushroom pizza extra crispy came out perfect and that's why my son's favorite food is pizza and hes not even two and knows the best place to get it

    a half eaten pizza

We have ordered from Vivaldi's for several year's with no complaints. The last several we have had to wait up to 2 hrs for our delivery, I wouldn't have minded if we were told so. 2 nights ago the delivery was supposed to be here within 45 minutes . After waiting an hour and a half I called, the woman said 10 more minutes, 10 minutes go by I call she said another 10 minutes. 2 hours later our food arrived. My family didn't want me to tip the driver but I did anyway. I wasn't blaming him just trying to explain i would no longer be a customer. I wish I didn't give him a $10 tip, I was trying nicely why I wouldn't be a customer and he gave me a attitude. Here are pictures of our pizza, one pizza was LITERALLY burnt to a crisp. I would not suggest vivaldi's, they have gone downhill big time.

Walking through the restaurant it was very dark - I understand wanting a romantic ambience but this was too dark. We opted to sit outdoors which was lovely - a beautiful evening. Our server was very nice but there was some confusion about our beer order. My husband told her what he wanted, but then told her he wanted it with his meal. She said it was ordered already (goes directly from her portal to the bartender) so it is probably on the bar waiting for her. She brought it to us right away because she didn't want it to get warm on the bar, but then it sat outside and got warm while we waited an extraordinarily long time for our meal. I know that the website says everything is made to order and takes a while but this seemed like way too long. Then when it arrived the lasagne that my husband had was very dark on top as if it was burned - like it had been reheated under a burner. My eggplant lasagne was delicious. No complaints there. And our Siberatas salad was very good. I would like to go back and give it another try since everyone else seems to have a good experience.

Even after trying many other restaurants in the area over the years, this has remained one of our most reliable favorites. Tonight, we were seated at a cozy booth in the back, which was much quieter and more relaxing away from the vibrant bar area in the front. We each ordered a cocktail. Hubby had the Berry Tootsie and enjoyed it very much, while I ordered the Lavender Lemon Drop. My cocktail was light, refreshing, citrusy, and very easy to enjoy. Both cocktails were generously poured and filled right to the brim. For our mains, I ordered the full-size Linguine Zuppa di Pesce, while hubby had the Chicken Parmigiana with a side of Brussels sprouts. My pasta was hearty, flavorful, and generously loaded with fresh seafood. Every bite felt comforting and satisfying without being overly heavy. The Chicken Parm was tender inside and topped with a flavorful tomato sauce and perfectly melted cheese. It was classic Italian comfort food done very well. Despite already having enough leftover pasta to take back to the resort, I still could not pass up the mango gelato for dessert. It was absolutely delicious -- light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, making for a wonderful ending to the meal. The hospitality was superb. Tiffin, our server, was wonderful throughout the evening. She was gracious, engaging, and attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed with her warm smile and thoughtful service from start to finish. After all these years, this is still a restaurant we can always count on for a wonderful meal.

The restaurant ambiance is a traditional nice dark wood and brass trim environment. We decided to order their grilled Halibut special over potato gnocchi. Very Delicious. As for their service, that was the weak point of the meal. Our server was not very friendly and customer driven. When we noticed other tables being taken care of more professionally, an example was when we asked for some EVOO for our bread and the server brings us an oil/vinegar rack used for salads. Other tables were given their special EVOO garlic upgrade. Overall the food was prepared perfectly by their kitchen culinary staff. Thank you. They do need to work with this one server because she was not their shining star.

Unfortunately, the way management handles pricing and customer concerns has become very disappointing, The issue is not with all the staff. Many of them provide very good service. However, there have also been times when service at the bar has felt rushed or dismissive, particularly on weekend evenings when one bartender appears more focused on closing customers out early than allowing regulars to enjoy their meal or drinks without being tabbed out before requesting such. That kind of experience, combined with the pricing issue, makes loyal customers feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. The bigger issue is the repeated nickel-and-diming of regular customers. Most recently, I ordered a small pizza that was half cheese, and half mushroom, onion and sausage. I was charged the full topping price price for each of the three toppings as though the toppings had been placed on the entire pizza, even though they were only on half. On top of that, I was charged an additional fee because the other half was plain cheese-even though a cheese pizza is already base pizza. That kind of pricing is hard to justify and makes the regular customer feel like every small variation is treated as an opportunity to add another charge. When I first questioned the charge, the bartender's response was essentially "this is how it rings up in the register". That did not address the concern. a register entry does not make an unreasonable charge reasonable, and pricing can be adjusted when something clearly does not make sense. I then attempted to raise the issue with the owner and was directed to the manager. When I spoke with the manager, the response still felt defensive rather than customer-focused. I was eventually handed $2 and told, in substance, that because I was a regular customer, they did not want me to be upset. The way it was handled made it feel as though I was the one being difficult over a few dollars. That misses the point. The issue is not the $2. The issue is that regular customers should not feel like every order is an opportunity to squeeze out another charge. Regular customers notice when small charges do not seem reasonable or transparent. This was not an isolated concern. On Mother's Day, we came in expecting the regular dinner menu after being told dinner would be available. Instead, we were given a holiday menu with options selected from the regular menu at higher prices - around $7 to $8 more per entree - without anything extra included. On another visit, we were told there would be a $4 charge for extra bread, which also felt excessive. I understand restaurant's have costs, and I do not expect anything for free. But there is a difference between fair pricing and making loyal customers feel taken advantage of. When a regular customer raises a reasonable concern, it should be handled with professionalism, not defensiveness. This restaurant has good food, a great location, and some very good staff. But management's pricing practices and response to customer concerns have changed my view of this restaurant. After years of regular patronage, I walked away feeling like the loyalty of regular customers are treated like another revenue opportunity.

Warm beautiful dining room with a wood burning fireplace, with a fire going, on a chilly night. Ann, our server was perfect. Our food fell on it's face. We went based on a personal recommendation and backed by YELP reviews. This was my first big disappointment on YELP. We ordered bruschetta and meatballs for apps. Bruschetta was a bit too charred but ok. Meatballs arrived.... Gray balls sitting on ricotta and oil with an herb and shallot crumble. Meatballs were meh and topping was bitter like burnt garlic and onion. Table bread, delicious. Beverages, delicious. Entrees we were split 50/50. Eggplant parm was very tasty and red sauce tasted fresh and well seasoned. My chicken marsala with creamy polenta was very disappointing. Instead of marsala forward it tasted of mushroom gravy, chicken dry with hard edges and polenta you could cut and chase chunks around the plate. Not a bit like polenta should be. Dessert was warm ricotta cake with gelato. Gelato was essential to this dessert as the lemon sauce was so intensely tart and sour it was near inedible without some buffering by the gelato. Value wise it would have been a fairly pricey meal by our standards even if the food was good. However price point is more palatable when the food is.
