Consistency is key to a great restaurant and once again Vive hit it out of the park with service, ambience and quality! Will continue to be our favorite place to dine in the area.

Absolutely love Vive! Such a cute dinner spot for a night out with a great ambiance. Definitely recommend the lobster rolls as an appetizer. As for the entree, can't go wrong with any of their pastas.

Went for happy hour which had great specials. The service was attentive and pleasant. Food was just ok. I had the oysters and they were so small and lacked flavor. (I got them chargrilled and paid extra for it) I will go back and try more dishes but not immediately impressed with food but the service and atmosphere will bring me back to keep trying.

Celebrated a friend's birthday at Vive in Bloomfield and had a lovely experience. Since it recently opened when we went, it wasn't very busy, but the interior was beautiful and very spacious. Service was attentive and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the starters, the caviar fries, and the spicy pasta--everything was flavorful and well done. Such a great spot for a relaxed celebration. Looking forward to coming back!

What a beautiful restaurant! I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed my time visiting vive. Things I loved: One- free parking and the staff is very friendly. I did not see a valet option, just fyi. The decor on the outside and interior of the restaurant is very classy and beautiful. There was some music playing in the background and it is a little dim, inside. The ambiance is elegant with some fake trees inside and the tables are spread apart a bit which I liked. We got the calamari to start, Delicious sauce but no red sauce with it, it was more of a lemony garlic sauce which was tasty. I highly recommend the sourdough bread with the maple dip and the tomato basil dip, it was excellent. They had a very cool spooky cocktails menu which was full of creative and tasty sounding options, I got the lychee witchy drink which was great. I also got the lychee sparkling drink off the regular menu after and while the drinks were good I don't think there was much alcohol in them? So beware of that. I got a Caesar salad which was a great size portion wise, I split it with two of my friends as an appetizer. It wasn't the tastiest salad I've had but good portion for the price. For the main entree I got the spicy vodka chicken parmigiana. It came with two pieces of chicken (good portion) which were tasty but for some reason the pasta was colder whereas the chicken was hot? Kinda odd. I also wish the portion of pasta was bigger as it was tasty and wish it could be ordered as a main entree with chicken added even. So for the entree the chicken was great, but the pasta should've been warmer and also just wasn't as spicy and creamy as I would've wanted. For dessert we got the carrot cake which was delicious. All in all I would, I come back here as the menu is creative and diverse/ has unique flavors and the food is definitely delicious and the ambiance is gorgeous.

We went here on a Friday night with a reservation and we're seated right away. Service was great. The cocktails were really good and had a nice presentation. We really enjoyed the calamari and it was a great portion size. When our entrées came, they were fresh and flavorful. Overall, it was a great experience and we would go back.

I love that they personalize the menu for an event!

We surprised my sister for her bday and decided to try Vive. I haven't been here since it was L George's and the remodel is beautiful. They have a private room that seats 24. The room was very pretty as well. First.... Service.... Phenomenal! They were very attentive, quick, and accommodating. Well done to both of our servers. I wish I got your names to call you both out. Second... drinks....excellent! I had the strawberry spritz with vodka. Finally... food... perfection! Every one of us loved our food and drinks! Well done to the owners, designers, and of course the amazing staff!!

Great ambience, delicious food, and a yummy mocktail! Great service, very friendly. Family owned too!

Such a cute restaurant! They have a festive drink menu for the holidays and the drinks were all good! Food and service was great too!

I had a fantastic experience! The waiter was polite, the food offered a great variety, and everything was fresh--the salad was crisp, and the steak was cooked to perfection. The selection of appetizers really stood out for us!

I arrived early to sample their Happy Hour where I got a Tommy Margarita which was one of four cocktail choices on the Happy Hour menu where the other choices are an Old Fashion, Lemon Drop Martini and a Black Manhattan. All of which I personally am a fan of. Relative to my Margarita, it was very well made with 2 full ounces of Blanco Tequila as the base and quite tasty. Definately a drink with a kick and not a watered down version you get at most other bars in the area. At $8 it's a pretty good deal in my opinion especially for a drink of this quality. Relative to Dinner my wife got the White Fish dinner and I got the Milanese Chicken. Both dishes were excellent where they were cooked to perfection and were delicious. Prices on the menu were a tad high in my opinion but the old adage that you get what you pay for applies here and is definately worth the cost in my opinion. Appetizer was the Calamari which was well made and quite tasty in its own right. Relative to staff and facility, the facility is very classy with a nice contemporary flair to it, Definately an upscale feel to it where both the bar and the dining area offer an elevated dining/drinking experience. Staff was super friendly with great follow up where the bar can be a tad slower as only one bartender was working while I was there but he did a fairly good job of keeping up with the orders and high marks for his efficiency. Overall a great classy restaurant with a nice Happy Hour makes this a destination restaurant worth the trip if you live outside this area. For discerning customers who prize Quality in what they eat and drink this is a business not to be missed!

You won't be disappointed. I'll be back to try something else!

The waitress was abrasive from the start and immediately informed us that there was a time limit on our table. Looking back, that's actually pretty comical, considering the restaurant ended up taking far longer than their own stated limit to serve us. We were there celebrating our friend's baby sprinkle and hoped for a relaxed, enjoyable afternoon. Instead, the service was painfully slow. Drinks took an exceptionally long time to arrive, and the wait for our meals was even longer. The delays were so significant that one member of our group eventually had to leave before fully enjoying the gathering. Had the service been friendlier and more attentive, the long waits may have been easier to overlook. But between the abrasive welcome, the slow pace, and the overall lackluster experience, our celebration felt more frustrating than enjoyable. I hate leaving negative reviews, especially because I was genuinely excited to try The Franklin. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to expectations, and it's not somewhere I'll be rushing back to.

The music was actually so loud it was hard to catch up with my friend. I wasn't aware of how cozy the spot was. We weren't allowed to sit next to each other (understandably so, the seats are designed for two/four people to sit across from each other like normal) so that made it easiest to just quiet up and listen to the music. I have no problem with that, the singer was great! The waitress was kind for even checking with the manager to see if we could adjust the seating arrangement. I had to ask lol I had the fried salmon bites, very salty but good flavor. Oh, and one of the two bathroom stalls wouldn't close but luckily girl code helped us stay secure! This spot is a hidden gem especially for those who appreciate a very intimate live music performance, when they have it. I'd like to try more of the food.

From Retro Bliss to Corporate Miss - 1Up's New Management Hits Rock Bottom…read more.. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. 1Up Arcade Bar, once my go-to haven for arcade nostalgia and friendly vibes, has devolved into a shell of its former self. Under the new management, the experience has gone from retro joy to something resembling a garish corporate money pit. If you're looking to relive the good old days of arcade glory, consider this your neon-lit warning sign to stay far, far away. First off, the bartenders. Remember last year when 1Up's bartenders were warm, cheerful, and chatty, making you feel like you were part of the family? Well, those days are deader than my high score on Pac-Man. The new bartenders treat you with the exact enthusiasm you'd expect from someone waiting at the DMV. Ordering a drink here feels like you've personally interrupted their day--and heaven forbid you ask any questions about the menu. Smiles? Gone. Friendly banter? Vanished. You're left standing there with your overpriced, uninspired drink wondering if you've wandered into a soulless high-end cocktail bar by mistake. Ah, the drinks. Once playful and creative masterpieces that added to 1Up's charm, they've been replaced with pretentious, unimaginative concoctions that scream, "We're fancy now; please empty your wallet." No fun, no spirit (pun intended), just overpriced disappointments. At their current price point, I half expected the drink to come with complimentary resentment from the staff. And don't get me started on the arcade machines. Gone are the iconic retro classics that made me feel like I'd stepped back into the golden age of arcades. Instead, the place is now stuffed with bright, flashy, wallet-draining horrors you'd find at a Dave and Buster's. What happened to the charm? The authenticity? Now it's just a playground for toddlers with no attention spans and those who value flashing lights over actual gameplay. Speaking of, if you're a Gen Z-er armed with your parents' credit card and an inability to go three seconds without dopamine overload, this place might actually be a dream come true for you. The rest of us? Not so much. Look, 1Up Arcade Bar used to be a gem, but now it feels like a soulless cash grab. Don't come here hoping for a genuine arcade bar experience because you'll leave disappointed--and poorer. Save your time, save your money, and spare yourself the heartbreak of seeing what this place has become. RIP, old 1Up. You are sorely missed.
