Tried this place since KungFu Tea was out of mango for their mango slush. Menu look good. Had difficulty with the talking. I had a bit of a hard time trying to get my questions answered. Asked about the Oreo Creame Burlee (what I thought it was more of a milk shake) it is straight up milk. So the mis- understanding just cost me to waste my money and probably my business to this estalishment. Fills like you got taken advantage of when money gets wasted that easily and your kid looks at you like I didn't get anything. We almost went back to complain but I dont think it wouldn't have done much good. The other issue that bugs me is that its summer temperatures out there now why would I want to order cool mike on a hot day. Word of advice on customer service. Know your menu and just put two and two together and suggest or guide a customer towards shake versus cool milk. This was our first time here and recommendations would have been welcomed. read more

Was running errands in the area and wanted to pick up something quick for lunch. I ordered a he popcorn chicken appetizer, the fried fish bento box, and a bubble tea. The food was delicious and pipping hot even after I got home. The popcorn chicken was perfectly seasoned, crispy, and l not oily at all. The bento box had a variety of sides including minced meat sauce for the rice and pickled veggies. Everything was delicious. The reason I took off 1 star was for the service. When I called to place the order, the lady that answered the phone had somewhat of a bad attitude. When I went into the store to pick up my order, she was the same way. Randomly came across this boba shop when I was in Frisco and craving boba. The shop itself is cutely decorated- lots of pink and they're logo everywhere. There's a good amount of seating as well and they have games for you and friends to play too. They have a wide selection of drinks as well ranging from mill teas to fruit teas and yogurt drinks, smoothies and more. After a few recommendations from the worker there, I went with the lychee oolong tea at 30% sugar. Honestly, I didn't like the drink itself. Even at 30% sugar, it was far too sweet for me. It tasted like what 100% sugar at most other boba places would be. There also wasn't much of a lychee flavor nor a strong tea flavor. Honestly, it just tasted like a sweet syrup drink to me- was not a fan of it at all. We tried the following today: [Taiwanese bento and snacks] * Pork chop rice * Chicken cutlet rice * Basil chicken popcorn (they are more like chicken nugget sizes) - almost perfect, as close to the authentic you could get here in US. All popcorns come with basil so basil means you get extra basil, but I felt there was just about the right amount, could always have more basil! All are fried to perfection and the meat was very juicy and tender; BUT we felt the batter of the pork chop and chicken is lacking some spices. Next time I will try the other options that come with curry or Thai sauce which should enhance the flavors. So I've been here twice in two weeks now and am definitely a fan! Drinks are good -- not the best in the area but certainly top five I'd say. I've had the Earl Grey Float, 3Q Milk Tea, and Chocoberry & Cookie, and that's in order of my preference. The "float" drinks have a layer of salty foam at the top which I really like, because it adds just the right amount of saltiness to the drink when mixed. The one downside is that the boba here isn't really sweet; it has a great chewy consistency but they're totally bland. What's made me come back to this place is the chicken nuggets -- SO GOOD! We've only had the spicy flavor, which is amazing. Tip: I was going to order the Basil flavor but the girl behind the counter told me that all of the nuggets are made with some basil. The 'basil flavor' just means EXTRA basil so you're still not missing out on basil-y goodness if you'd rather have a different flavor. Ask for a stamp card if you're not offered one! This place is a true gem! They are known for their bubble teas aka Boba drinks. They also serve food! I lowered my expectations on the food but since my son was hungry, we decided to give it try. We both ordered the pork Katsu curry. Omg! It was deeeeelish! The pork chops were fried to perfection. I loved that they separated the curry sauce instead of pouring it over the pork. I've always enjoyed the Vivi Bubble Tea brand because of their interesting boba drinks and cute cups! This new location in Frisco is no different and even a little better than the other ones I have visited in other states because they even sure up some traditional Taiwanese snacks and food. The boba is soft and has a nice chew, my favorite drinks so far are their traditional black milk tea and the kumquat lemon ice jelly. For snacks you have to try their Taiwanese sausage and popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken is juicy and flavorful and comes in 5 different tastes - my favorite is the basil. Aah! I've been to Vivi in New York and was excited to see they opened one here. I'm a huge bubble tea fan and my favorite in town for over a decade has been Fat Straws. However, both locations are 30+ mins away from where I live so I was excited to see a quality bubble tea spot had opened in a 15 minute radius! Ok, their bubble tea is as good as it gets! I'd put it up there (close to Fat Straws). I tried the milk tea with boba - it was excellent and the boba were soft and perfectly chewy. But also, the snacks they offer put this place above most others! They have popcorn chicken in 5 flavors/seasonings and I got the spicy one. It was PHENOMENAL. I can't recount too many times when something so flavorful has touched my palate. I liked it so much, I got another order to go for family and they loved it just as much. Their waffles fries are great and seasoned. My friend got a chicken cutlet and loved it! Their menu also has ramen! They do have macarons as well - I only had the raspberry and it has jam in the center which had hardened somewhat. The others were different of course without jam so I can't comment on those! Service was great and friendly. Ambiance is cute, pink (classic Vivi), and upbeat! Vivi is a popular, cute, VERY PINK boba place from NYC. In New York they are known for their boba floats which include cotton candy, pop rocks, ice cream and boba! Unfortunately their boba floats did not make it to Texas yet. I had really high hopes for Vivi's boba since it is a well known franchise. However this location's boba did not meet my expectations. I got their oolong milk tea and it just tasted like sweetened milk. It barely had any hints of tea flavor in it which was really disappointing. My boyfriend got their milk tea which also tasted really milky and sugary and basically didn't taste much different from my oolong milk tea. We've had their fruit flavored teas - mango and passion fruit which were much better in comparison to the milk teas but nothing special that I would specifically go to Vivi for. HOWEVER, their popcorn chicken makes up in what their boba lacks! The popcorn chicken here is the best I've had in DFW! Now their popcorn chicken is something I would definitely make a trip to Vivi for and for which I have on several occasions. I usually get the basil flavor but it comes in other options such as curry, spicy, garlic, and pepper salt. The popcorn chicken is always fresh and hot out of the fryer and ALWAYS DELISH. Nice that Frisco is getting more boba options in town. This place has many drink options, food and snacks. I haven't tried the food yet but will on my next visit. I had the Thai tea with basil seed. All drink add ins are an extra $0.50 each. The amount of basil seed I got in my drink was ridiculously small. I couldn't get any basil seed in my sips until my drink was almost empty because there was so little. I mean I could've raised my straw to the top and try to get the seeds but even then it wasn't an acceptable amount. Ive ordered basil seed in drinks often at other establishments and was appalled at the first sight of my drink. Other then that I don't have many complaints. The Thai tea itself was fine. Basil and garlic are my favorite flavors! Their waffle fries are also well seasoned and delicious at that! Takoyaki was ok. The mayo is not like japanese mayo (kewpie) but it still tasted decent. As for drinks, I usually get one of the floats (either jasmine or earl grey) I really like their cream they use for the floats. Perfect sweetness and flavor for me. The flavor of the tea in the float are strong (just how I like it) and are not overpowered by the cream at all. Additionally, decor/aesthetics are very cute. The staff argued back and forth over whether or not the chicken was cooked; then asserted that we had eaten half and refused to provide a refund. The staff, specifically the older woman, stated that we had eaten half of the food and then tried to bring it back. There were three of us in the car; both girls ate a piece and when I bite into my piece, the chicken was slimy and looked like raw meat. I was heading to Sonic to pick up a drink and then drove back to request a refund. These are walking distance from each other; it took less than 5 minutes, from the time we left and returned to the location. The older woman stated "people" try to eat food and then request a refund. We are from out of town and had never visited this establishment; whatever "people" she experienced an issue with, were not is, but that is beside the point. i've heard of this place and had no idea one opened by near me. we ordered the peach jade tea and the regular milk tea with boba along with pepper salt chicken nuggets. peach jade tea was pleasantly light and sweet and delicious with some kind of yummy jelly at the bottom. the milk tea was standard but the boba had a great chew and the large cup was very tall and slim and easy to hold. the chicken nuggets were all dark meat and seasoned well, i just think it's a small portion for $5.50. We went during a new year's special for BOGO 50% off the second drink, so the prices were reasonable. will come back here to study because kung fu is always crowded! great spot to hang out with friends because they have lots of seating and games to play. read more

Very Taiwanese. All of the food items have a hint of sweetness, just like in Taiwan. I would not recommend the Taiwanese sausage. It came out a really pale shade of pink and the flavor just didn't burst like it should because it wasn't very hot and therefore there wasn't any juicy goodness. Also, no slices of garlic? Tsk. The popcorn chicken was pretty awesome. The crispy chicken cutlet would have been perfect if it weren't so sweet! I know some people like it that way though. Drinks are ok...I didn't like the flavors so much but they're not terrible. So far I have tried the almond milk tea (not almond enough), the yogurt tea (not yogurt enough), and the strawberry lemon Jade (it does not taste like strawberry at all).
