I highly recommend Dr.Fong and his staff. He did the corrective braces for my 13 year old son and we are highly pleased with the results. Over the course of 3+ years, we always had good experiences with his office. They are very good about scheduling appointments to meet your schedule as much as possible. Whenever we had issues, such as a bracket being loose, they were able to schedule us promptly to come into the office to get our issue fixed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Trilogy Orthodontics has exceptional and amazing customer service!! I found them through Dr Kris Murakawa's dental office in Alhambra! And I only wish that I found them sooner! I had traditional metal braces at least twice already - once as a teenager, and the second time as an adult. I went to 2 different orthodontists. But in hindsight, I found that neither one of those orthodontists was too forthcoming or too honest about their services. I felt like they just really took my money and didn't even bother to check up on me after I transitioned from braces to retainers. Part of it is my fault for not being more compliant as a teenager in terms of wearing my retainers vigilantly after I had my braces taken off. But at the same time, I felt like those 2 orthodontists who I went to in the past were not too great in following up either about my orthodontic care. I personally felt like they were just pretty money-hungry. I am so grateful that I came to Trilogy Orthodontics! They are the complete opposite of the 2 orthodontists who I went to in the past! And they really care about their patients and are not money-hungry at all! It is so difficult to find good and honest orthodontists like them! Both the father and son (Dr Terrence Fong and Dr Garrett Fong) are extremely professional, thorough, and courteous! And their staff members are just as helpful and friendly! Most of my appointments have been with Dr Garrett Fong because I decided to get Invisalign this time around. I was really embarrassed to have to get teeth correction literally for the third time because I wasn't compliant with traditional metal braces the first 2 times. But Dr Garrett Fong put me at ease and assured me that a lot of adults still get teeth correction. I just hope that I can be as compliant as possible this time around so that this will be my last time receiving major teeth correction. I didn't realize that they also provide their patients with in-office entertainment! My most recent appointment in late February was a longer appointment because Dr Fong had to place the attachments onto my teeth so that my Invisalign trays would hold much better onto my teeth. He brought over a tablet and asked me which movie I wanted to watch on Netflix! I was thrilled!! I chose to watch the "Emojis" movie and throughly enjoyed it! After he was done placing the attachments, he told me that I could stick around and finish the movie! Haha! I totally would have if I was still a teenager! But I felt silly as an adult to stick around. I would highly recommend anyone who needs orthodontic care as a kid or as an adult to come here!! We absolutely love this orthodontic clinic!! Dr Fong Sr and Jr are excellent. My son is mostly seen by Jr. Dr Fong, which is exceptionally kind and detail. All staff there are cheerful and loving. Due to the volume of this clinic, sometimes it maybe a bit hard to change an appointment. But they did try their best to accompany our needs anytime. We were quote 2 years, and pay monthly for two years. But since they are very precise about the position of the teeth, we end up to about 3 years, with no extra charge. And I can see that my son now have to best teeth in the whole family!!! I would consider them one of the old school type of orthodontics. (Which work the best). The first consultation is free. Dr. Fong is extremely knowledgeable and immediately eliminated any residual hesitation I had about a virtual consultation because of how thorough he was in his explanations and suggestions. I uploaded 5 photos to a portal, which was super simple to use, for Dr. Fong to pre-examine so he was already up to speed on my dental goals by the time of my appointment. I was able to ask many questions and receive honest feedback using diagrams and other examples in real-time. I've lived my entire life scared to death of going to the dentist. It's one of the last things I'd rather be doing, and I've only made steps to get over my dentist phobia as an adult. But I guess it's never too late to get over old fears is it? I was referred to Trilogy Orthodontics after I told my regular dentist that I was interested in trying out Invisalign to straighten my teeth that had already been straightened once before by traditional braces back when I was in junior high. But because I lost my retainers less than a month after getting them, my teeth slowly started getting crooked once again as an adult because I lost the retainers and because I waited til I was nearly 30 before taking out my wisdom teeth. This office is located near a McDonalds on Las Tunas Dr. and resembles a house from the outside, so it can be easy to miss. There's a parking lot in the back with plenty of spaces. Once inside, you are greeted by their friendly staff and very clean office. Drs. Fong and Fong are a father and son team each with their own areas of specialization. Dr. Garrett Fong (the son) has been my orthodontist for the past year and has taken great care of me and my teeth. He and the dental assistants have always ensured that I was comfortable with each visit and have always made sure to alleviate any anxiety I have about being there. My particular Invisalign treatment only required 10 upper and lower trays, which get switched out every month or so, so get ready for roughly monthly visits to the orthodontist if this is a treatment you are considering! I'm currently on tray 9 out of 10 and am anxiously awaiting my completion of this treatment and my new and improved smile. Be aware that part of the treatment includes getting little "attachments" embedded on your teeth to help move them into the correct positions. When I'm not wearing the trays, they are visible so I feel somewhat self-conscious when I smile. I thought the whole thing was supposed to be invisible! So overall: -The good: Drs. Fong and the staff are extremely friendly, professional, and work well with anxious patients! Their office and equipment are clean and up-to-date. No issues working with my insurance (Aetna). Fair pricing. -The bad: Appointments can be hard to get as this is a very busy office! Orthodontic appointments are much higher in frequency that regular dental visits so keep that in mind if you are considering treatment. They are closed during the lunch hour and on the weekends to there is somewhat limited flexibility with regard to appointments. -The ugly: This is more of a knock on the Invisalign treatment than the office itself, but I wish that it was truly "invisible!" read more

Because of multiple job relocations, I have seen Dr Fong and multiple orthodontist in the Bay Area, in Shanghai, and in Dallas. Among all of them, Dr Fong is by far the best. I can tell Dr Fang spent lots of time analyze my situations based on the notes and measurements he prepared. He explained the treatment plan to me down to every details, and never rushed me. Besides, his office has the most sophisticated equipment I have seen, such as the 3-D dental scanner. We are so thankful for the father-son duo of Dr. Terry Fong and Dr. Garrett Fong, as well as their wonderful team! They convey such warmth, care and positive energy when you walk thru their door! Unlike our generation, our kids and their friends all think it's so cool to get braces - thank goodness!! Fun color rubber band choices allow them to mix it up every time. Kylene is fantastic at the chair and the front desk gals - Linda is a hoot with a great demeanor and sense of humor and Kristen is so sweet. Both Dr. Fongs are so experienced and knowledgeable. I got 4 of my molars pulled and spent 3 and a half years wearing braces, but let me tell you why it was worth it :) I've been coming here since I was a 5th grader (I've now graduated college) and have nothing but the highest regard for Dr. Terrence Fong, his son Dr. Garrett Fong, and the entire office staff (shout out to Linda and Kylene!). They've seen me go from having the world's worst cross-bite to straight teeth. What makes Trilogy different from other orthodontists is the personal touch - from the enthusiastic greetings you get on walking in, to the cozy decor that Mrs. Fong changes every season. Everything is explained really clearly, which makes the process of having braces a lot less scary whether you're a kid or an adult. What's more, the whole office is always kept very clean and there's an awesome selection of magazines available if you have to wait (my favorite is the kids' table where they keep issues of National Geographic!). She has a complicated case to start with. We have consulted two other orthodontists, and they all agreed my daughter needs to begin her treatment at an early age. Very professional and helpful consultation. I wanted to have braces again since my bottom teeth were pushed far out because of my last orthodontic treatment. Dr. Fong talked about my problems (on receding chin and my lower teeth) on the first free consultation and suggested me to do surgery. I discussed what Dr. Fong had told me to my parents and they preferred not to do any kind of surgery. I scheduled another time to take records (cost $200), a nice assistance scanned my teeth using 3-D modeling and took some x-rays of my teeth. After that, scheduled another meeting with Dr. Fong to talk about what he thinks is the best treatment for us. The meeting after the records was super helpful. He talked about his thoughts on my profile and talked about the consequences if I don't do the surgery. My mother was still worried about doing surgery (as what Dr. Fongs said, "there is always risks for any kind of surgery."). Dr. Fong said if we don't do the surgery, he is not going to put braces on me because he is not there to just take our money and not do anything helpful for my case. THAT is just a great and honorable personality that all doctors should have! My last orthodontist didn't tell me things about surgery, consequences, and all the other possibilities. Dr. Fong would discuss everything with you and you can ask him any questions or concerns you have. Definitely recommended. I'm not sure if I'll do the surgery (super expensive T_T), but go to this orthodontist if you are looking for an orthodontic treatment!!! I came here I really liked the Dr. they said they needed to X-ray 4 different slides total cost $200. I had X-rays done previous place for $160. So when I brought them to this place I was missing 1 slide so the lady in the front told me I have to pay $125 for the missing one??? Might as well pay $75 more for the whole package RIGHT!? So the pricing was off! And the lady say I'm not forcing you to pay and we can't give it to you for free! Rude much? Ya you are kind of forcing me to pay if not then I can't get any service done. Because she said that I rather go someone else where they don't rip you off completely just for the X-rays. My daughter really enjoyed going to her appointments here! All the staff are very friendly and they make your safety and comfort their top priority with everyone wearing face-masks and gloves. There is an online check-in, a temperature check, available hand sanitizer, and even disposable pens you can keep to fill out paperwork. They have made separate "rooms" with walls and doors for people to stay in and have their appointment done to limit exposure to others even further. These rooms also have their own air supplies and returns with HEPA filtration to make each visit safer. Plus, Dr. Fong and the staff explain every step of the procedure very clearly. I am writing a completely NEW review as my 14 year-old daughter recently got her braces off after 6 3/4 years at Trilogy Orthodontics. Now, you may be wondering WHY so long? Well, my daughter has multiple issues that only occurred as her adult teeth came in that were MAJOR problems - so the treatment plan has to be changed many times. Needless to say, without the expertise and experience of this office, the outcome of her orthodontia journey would have been completely different. A dentist working on her mouth would not have been able to get the amazing and beautiful results that have been obtained through a professionally trained orthodontist like this office has. My daughter got her braces on the day BEFORE the start of 2nd grade - she was a terrified little eight year-old and Dr. Terrence Fong and the staff put her at ease. She even wore her sunglasses during the procedure and was very happy when she left with her braces. Fast forward almost seven years when Dr. Garrett Fong worked his magic to have her braces off TWO days before her 8th grade graduation. When we were there for the back bracket removal, another patient was getting his braces off for Prom. Fabulous way to make your patients feel SPECIAL! Of important note, the doctors are great with little kids (like my 2nd grader getting braces) to tweens and teenagers to adults - they work with ALL ages well. Dr. Garrett Fong and Dr. Fong have both taken care of me for around 5 years now. I started off with Dr Fong when I was younger. They are both very gentle and put me at ease all the time. Linda at the front desk is one of the nicest, hardest working people I have ever met. My son has been a patient at Trilogy Orthodontics for about one and a half years. Both the father and son have been involved with Phase 1 of his treatment and we've been extremely pleased with their patience, a willingness to take the time to explain everything in detail and a very pleasant experience everytime we go into the office. We were set to start Phase 2 just as the virus crisis hit, and I've been impressed with their ability to adjust. We had a one hour video consultation today that was impressive. Dr. Garrett Fong (son) was very comfortable navigating the videoconference software so it was easy to compare before and after photos, x-rays, computer diagrams, and the pros/cons and consequences of the choices we have as we begin this second phase of treatment. This consultaion was as efficient as if we had been in the office and more convenient because we never had to leave home. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to visit the office. My daughter needs a lot of work to be done. A lot. We did a video conference, aka virtual appointment, and it was great. We were able to see my daughter's X-rays, visuals, models, and photographs all while Dr Fong was explaining and pointing out things to us. We have some serious decisions to make, and with this presentation, the explanations, and visuals, I feel we have more than enough information to make the right call. I don't believe that sitting next to Dr Fong would have made a difference. We've had face-to-face meetings with our son, and quite frankly, this was easier. Connection to the system was a snap.
