Very happy with my experience here! It's a small narrow salon with 4 pedicure chairs and 5-6 manicure seats. I called on a Saturday evening looking to get a gel manicure and pedicure and they told me to stop by. There were 4 other people there when I arrived and was taken right away. I had my gel mani and pedicure with Jane who was awesome. She helped me match my regular polish on my toes to the gel color on my nails. She also took her time even though it was close to when they close, which I appreciate. They have a ton of colors to choose from a variety of brands. Almost three weeks later and my gel manicure is still pristine. The gel mani and pedicure was a special for $55 which I thought was a solid deal! Not only did they act extremely rough and intentionally hurt me while they did my nails and laugh about it when I asked them to be gentler, but they opened mocked and sneered at my friend with a speech impediment. Excellent gel manicure by Mia! The variety of colors is amazing, and very on trend - you will definitely find the latest polish shades as well as unique ones that I have not seen in other salons. The ladies who did my manicure and pedicure were both gentle and fast. I am only knocking off a star, because despite asking if my toenails were actually dry, which they said they were, when i got home and took my shoes off, the polish had smudged. This was the most horrible manicure I have ever had, I went there to get a hard gel but they told me they don't do that and that they will put tips on, Gina started the manicure but it was obvious she was a rookie so I kept quiet so as not to upset her. Then she put the nails on completely crooked and put a huge layer of hard gel on top and let it dry and my nails turned into GIANT pieces. Then she tried to shape them with an electric nail file but my nails and cuticles were full of gel and they were completely stuck together, it hurt so much when she tried to clean them off. When she said the manicure was over I was shocked because my nails were in horrible shapes and my cuticles and nails were still stuck together. I showed it to the Asian manager woman there but she didn't care much and said okay, let her clean it again but I couldn't even hold my phone because of the pain anymore. Their only concern was to finish the job as soon as possible and get the next customer, in other words, to make more money. They didn't care about customer satisfaction. And then they made me pay $93 and didn't even apologize. Gina sarcastically said yes, you owe $87 and handed me the device. I had no choice but to ipgivenone star. But it should be - 5 stars. I had been going to vivid nails for over two years. I noticed on 5 or 6 visits that I was only tended to by the Hispanic nail techs. I am Hispanic. One of the two Hispanic techs that did my nails started by using an emory board to remove my gel polish. She did not apply the polish that softens the gel. I had to tell her not to use the emory board and use the filing machine and to apply the softening polish. On more than one occasion. Both Hispanic techs were rough and my nails were sore for a day or two after my mani pedis. After a couple of sloppy manicures, I called to make an appt and asked the owner to please give me an Asian tech. I did not give her a reason why but asked for an Asian tech. She obliged but it was only her doing my nails going forward for the next 4 or 5 Mani pedis. Fast forward a few manicures (Feb march now) after removing gel, we both noticed darkening of my nails. When I asked the owner if that was fungus she said no. "It will go away", "not a fungus", "it will grow out in two manicures", "the tech" (one of Hispanic ones(pls note iam referring to her this way not the owner)) "does not work here anymore." "When she asked if she can come back I told her no". So we continue with another gel manicure. On the next manicure the spots were changing and had spread to other nails still assuring me that it was not a fungus. On the last manicure there in April, after removing the gel it was obvious that I had a bad fungal infection. She agreed, and removed gel for free and said to let them breathe. I told her I was going to go to urgent care to get them checked. She said "no need, come back Monday I'll have something for you to put on them." There was no way I was waiting till Monday. And she not a doctor. Hense I have had to apply anti fungal medication on my nails daily since April and had to see a dermatologist. My nails have detached from my nail bed and are green and very rigid. It will take at least 6months for my nails to be back to normal. My point here is - be advised that Vivid nails does not use clean instruments and does not train their employees. I also felt some type of way because of only assigning me Hispanic techs. I was always generous tipper, would go there on a weekly basis for a regular manicure before I started doing gel manicures and even gave a few dollars to all the techs during Xmas (including the ones that never touched my nails). The owner continued to do gel manicure again and again knowing that that was a fungal infection. This is her specialty. She did not care. She just wanted to make money off of me each and every single time. read more

First time here. I definitely recommend a reservation. They are always packed. But the staff is accommodating and sweet. And damn good at what they do. I got the Spa Pedicure package. It comes with a 10 minute foot massage and mine was divine! I added a regular manicure. And truthfully, it was more than enough. The only thing I missed and will try next time is an added back massage. I'm giving 4 stars only because while the staff was masked, as were the guests, and the salon is moderately clean, I do think they could take added cleaning measures in between guests. read more

I'm not really sure what happened in the year that I've been going. Since writing my prior review, I've gone to Vivid for a year, every two weeks. Last time I went, there was a woman who spent over an hour and a half doing a gel manicure. She had to take off layers, multiple times, because she kept messing up. On her last go around of filing off a layer of my nails, I just said I would go back the next day to get them fixed (and the owner told me to do so). Came back the following day expecting them to re-do my nails (paid for them, loyal customer for a year)... I was wrong. Woman did exactly the same thing as the prior woman did. Also, there were so many damn layers of gel on my nails that it was super difficult to get off and my nails were destroyed. Just seems like they don't care as much as they used to. Very disappointed. Great Service but encountered an extremely rude. She came in for a massage and a worker asked if she was pregnant for precaution and she took it entirely out of context. She left the store immediately and came back saying that her sister was a lawyer an that she'd file a report to the better business bureau. I cannot say enough good things about Eva, who did my manicure and pedicure. She took her time, made sure I was comfortable and didn't pressure me into any upgrades. When the nail design didn't turn out how I had expected she quickly offered to re-do it - and did a great job. It was $25 for a mani-pedi plus $5 for a nail design. I've gone here a few times and have been content with the service. Nothing outstanding. Just your basic manicure/pedicure. Lately I've been disappointed with the service of the workers and even the manager or owner. There seems to be no quality control. For one thing, I used to get a complimentary massage during drying and so do the other women. Lately I haven't gotten any. Then the last technician I had seemed so removed from what she was doing (granted she did a good job). She was just going through the motions with minimal effort and then when she went to get my sneakers from the pedicure station she just threw them on the floor. She really seemed to care less. The only time I saw her show interest was when the other technicians were taking in their language (probably about the clients) and laughing. It felt like the episode from Seinfeld when Elaine goes to the nail salon. Then to make matters worse, the manager/owner was dealing with an unsatisfied client on the phone. You could hear her frustration from her end of the conversation. After her disgruntled conversation, she hangs up and she starts venting in her language to the other employees and you hearing them laughing. BTW was the only time I heard a peep out of my technician. It was tasteless,rude and unprofessional and you could tell they didn't care. Upon leaving, I wasn't given any assistance or help, just the standard "Bye!" They definitely need to step up their game because nail salons area dime a dozen in that area and people don't need to pay for a service and experience their nonsense. read more
