Our food was much better this time and now I understand why people like it. Our server Greg was great so he helped make the evening terrific as well. We started with cocktails (my Curious George was delicious) and had some appetizers....heirloom tomatoes, corn fritters and duck croquettes. Everything was delicious, with the duck croquettes a particular standout. For my meal, I had a salmon bowl with rice. It was so good. I liked how the salmon was in small pieces rather than just a big slab on top of rice. The great thing was that the smaller pieces were cooked wonderfully. I think it would be easy to overcook pieces that size but they were perfectly crispy on the outside but moist and flavorful inside. I think my mistake the first time was ordering steak so I'm glad we went back. We'll definitely return.

The menu offers a good variety of options, and the food was satisfying and nicely presented. Service was pleasant and helped keep the experience smooth. I liked that the meal didn't feel rushed, allowing the overall visit to remain relaxed. The restaurant has a simple, comfortable feel that works well for casual dining. Overall, it was a positive experience with a nice combination of food, atmosphere, and service.

They do have a small parking lot though which is a plus. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess who was very sweet. We did arrive almost an hour before our reservation time, but we were seated immediately. At around 8pm you could tell it starts to get busy. They have a full bar area also. We sat down and we were offered a hot pepper, which I thought was a very nice touch. They also brought out bread and butter to the table which was delicious. For appetizer we ordered the Cesar salad. This is made table side and can be customized. The flavor was good, however the portion was very small. We also ordered a side of mashed potatoes. They were good but could have used a little seasoning, such as salt or pepper. For dinner we ordered the chicken francese, which was served over potatoes and some broccoli/carrots. The flavor was pretty good. The chicken was thick/tender. I just wish they would have put more sauce in the plate. The chicken was decently moist but there was no additional juice to dip into. For dessert we ordered the tartufo, and the ricotta cheesecake. The tartufo was really good. The cheesecake was okay. We ordered a regular hot coffee, and an espresso. The hot coffee tasted very watered down, the espresso was good. I would definitely recommend this place. The food was pretty good and the service was exceptional.

Our first visit was so delicious, we had to return quickly…read more Stopped by on a Wednesday. Apparently they have a special for two on Tuesday and Wednesday. Soup or Salad, an entree, and a glass of wine. So that's what we chose to do. Seated quickly by Michael. He is so nice! He actually remembered us from last time. Gave us the special menu and gave us time to think. My husband automatically noticed that the soup or salad option had a third option. We both chose that although the minestrone soup sounded real good too. Like last time, water and toasted bread was brought quickly, as well as our wine (Pinot and Merlot which were both good). Starters arrived next, which we devoured. I chose the penne vodka, hubby chose the eggplant. We couldn't finish so took home leftovers. Food is cooked to order. So we were prepared to wait. I didn't think it took that long, but others might think so in this fast paced world. Bear that in mind. Great food is worth the wait. Also, because in our last visit, noticed how quickly the restaurant filled up, we made reservations for 5pm. If you don't want to be disappointed plan ahead or be prepared to wait. A lot of people love this place so it fills up quickly. So if you haven't eaten here before and want to try a great Italian restaurant, this is it. Oh, what was the third option? You'll have to visit to find out

I've come to the conclusion that people in New Fairfield or around Danbury really don't know Italian food. It's a shame That was bad Italian food. The salad was terrible, and the iced tea was bad. My wife had the fried mozzarella, which was awful. I had the gnocchi, and the sauce was bitter. overall, I gave it one star because the service was good, but that was it, but you don't go to a restaurant for service you go for food and hope the service is good I hope they read this and change their chef or their cook. I doubt he's a chef. Later

We stared with the seafood tower (amazing); I had the veal martini which was delicious, my wife had the special which was fish in a mustard sauce which was delicious, but the stars of the show were the fillet mignon which was a solid 3" thick, and the 45-day, dry aged porterhouse which was simply mouthwatering! We were seated in the atrium, and halfway through the meal, the glass roof started opening!! Next thing you know we had an open view of the sky, and fresh air! It was awesome! So cool watching it open. Not inexpensive by any means, but with food like that, one can appreciate and understand what you're paying for.....not to mention the service, which was impeccable (we had I think 4-5 people serving us throughout the meal, all attentive but not overbearing) with a young man named John, being the lead waiter for us, who was amazing, polite, appreciative and on the ball....we hope to have him as our server again when we return in August.

This is not your typical Italian restaurant. The food is truly authentic, and absolutely amazing! We started with the calamari as an appetizer, and it was delicious. It was decorated so tastefully for Christmas, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We were seated in front of the fireplace, which made the evening feel especially romantic. The drinks were excellent, and the waitstaff were attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. This is the perfect place for a date night or any special occasion. We will definitely be back!

We started with a really great two cheese crostini which was delicious. I paired that with a rye old fashioned (or two) and that drink really hit the spot. For my entree I had a meatball hero which was just as delicious the next day when I had the second half for lunch. The portion was huge and I loved the meatballs and the sauce. For dessert we had a cheesecake with a house made pistachio creme which was amazing. We had a chance to talk to Tim who I believe owns the place and we asked him about a sign we saw on the westside at Innovation Studios for a Rebellion Gastropub. He says he hopes to have that open early in the new year so we can't wait to try that out as well, especially since it's only a five minute drive. But it's worth a 20 minute drive or more to visit Rebellion and we'll definitely be back.
