Perhaps too many fake flowers, but maybe not. They seemed to work and add color. I went at 4 pm on a Saturday, so between lunch and dinner. There were people, but no crowds or noise. All I wanted was a good burger. And I got it! I ordered the House Burger: (6 oz?) Marbled Wagyu Beef, Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon, Red Onion, Toasted Brioche, and Special Burger Sauce on the side. (Truthfully, I included all that for your benefit. I only wanted the burger, bacon, and bun with ketchup on the side.) It was delicious! I did manage to snap a pic before I descended upon it like a ravenous Serengeti carnivore... with a modicum of decorum so as not to scare the other guests. The service was fast and friendly and the prices reasonable. This is the sort of place I would like to return to in order to try some of their finer dishes!

It's always nice to find a place that is willing to accommodate younger diners without hesitation. We also sampled three different cocktails, and while they were all enjoyable, the Manhattan was the standout of the evening--smooth, balanced, and expertly crafted. It appears it was for a divorce. When the lady (who may have been owner or manager of the restaurant) said she didn't want to sign the papers because she was getting very stressed, what I believe was maybe a lawyer, called her soon to be ex and had him on speaker. When we were seated another table warned us they waited nearly 2 hours for their food. After 20 minutes of sitting I found a manager and informed them we were still waiting. As we waited I observed 4 tables around us that were sitting with dirty dishes from prior patrons. After a few minutes a team member came to clear a table. In the end 3 of the 4 were cleared. Team members were overheard complaining that bussers were sent home and that left them to clear tables. This used to be the restaurant I recommended, for its service, the quality of the food and the kindness of the team. Hope they correct whatever issues have come up.

And this is where things level out. The dishes especially staples like chicken parm come out looking the part, but flavor-wise? It's a little one-dimensional. The sauce leans heavy and slightly flat, lacking that bright, fresh tomato punch you want in a strong Italian kitchen. It fills you up, sure but it doesn't leave a lasting impression. There's also a bit of that "quantity over precision" feel.
