I would have loved a sincere apology from Ellen but at least the owner seemed apologetic for my horrific experience. I will not be returning because I am not risking getting my cuticles cut and infected a third time. I hope they will learn from this and be more careful in the sensitive parts of a client's nails. ------------ Unfortunately I did not want to write this review but after receiving such a nonchalant response from the owner and nail artist themselves, I feel like it is my responsibility to write an honest review about my experience here. I had such a wonderful experience getting my nails done in Korea so I wanted to look up a place that offered Korean style nails. I found purrple nails which was conveniently located near me with a staff filled of Korean artists. My first experience was with Soo and she did fine I guess. I like that she was detailed about her design but she did cut my cuticle once and was very rough with drilling. For those who don't know, drilling gets hot and the artist should know to lift it every few seconds to not burn the person's skin. Because I liked the design so much, I made a second appointment to give another artist a try. This second appointment was with Ellen. She was sooo rough when it came down to removing the polish and cleaning and cutting the cuticles. One of my cuticles started bleeding a lot and she just used the dust to stop the bleeding but did not apologize once. I let it go. But after getting home, I noticed my cuticles and fingers were so tender and red. I decided to let time heal but it's been a week and my right thumb is still swollen and tender. It's painful to touch. I told the owner and Ellen and after some back and forth, they finally did apologize. However it left kind of a sour taste in my mouth because it just seemed like they brushed it off thinking 10 percent off the next appointment would really make up for the pain I'm having in my finger. Not sure if I will come back. The owner asked me to try another artist but how do I prevent this from happening a third time?

Horrible. Zero star…read more Made an appt and told them what I want done. My appt time was ~1.5 hours before they close. I was excited and drove 1/2 hour to try Korean nail salon. Prep for gel plus 1 extension took more than 2 hours then after the prep, they filed my nails down. They filed it so short and was unattentive that they filed off my skin and it started to bleed. It took longer than expected and I had to leave and was to return the next day. Thankfully I left because my filed down skin continued to bleed for an hour or more after. Gel and design took another ~2 hours. Total time almost 4 hours (+ 2 hours of driving time). Price was almost double other places I go to. Then less then 10 days after, the entire gel came off for one nail...next day, another...and next day a couple more. At least it came off neatly rather than chipped. At this point, I easily peeled off the rest. I messaged them and they offered to give me a free redo. Thank you but no thank you. I am not about to waste another 4+ hours and spend gas money all to risk getting an infection. Please hire properly trained and certified nail techs. Because other reviews have mentioned nail tech cutting down cuticles to the point of bleeding and nails chipping or coming off.

My hair used to reach the middle of my buttocks -- long, healthy, and something I was proud of. I left with it cut above my chest, uneven, patchy, and with three different shades of color. When I reached out to the stylist KAYLA, she said it was "an easy fix." But hair doesn't grow back overnight, and I wasn't about to trust her again after she already butchered my hair. I hadn't colored my hair in 20 years or cut it in 5 years -- it was healthy and full of life, and now it's ruined. She claimed to have 15 years of experience, but it didn't show when she rushed me off the chair and overcut my hair without care. To make it worse, she refused to refund my money, only offering $65 for the haircut. After paying $275 for this disaster, I deserve a full refund. I had requested highlights and my roots to be lightened,, he did not bring the foils up to my roots and once again gave me money pieces. I immediately told him that the entire crown was significantly dark and I told him again I was not sure why he added money pieces again. After being there for so many hours I was exhausted mentally and physically. I requested it be corrected after I came back from vacation and he agreed, I contacted him once I returned and no response. The appointment was unprofessional as he talks a lot personal life matters, and does not listen. I would caution other customers. I am now going to have to pay another stylist to fix his work.
