Vogue Cleaners is far more than a laundry service. It is a philosophical rabbit hole that will leave you questioning the very nature of space, time and existence. When you surrender your soiled clothes to the ministrations of Vogue Cleaners, a lady, sometimes older, sometimes younger, sometimes bespectacled, sometimes not, but unfailingly possessed of a quiet confidence that she holds an understanding of the universe that you could never yourself parse, will hand you a piece of paper. This paper will have on it a date, and a time, and verbiage suggesting that your clothes will be available for pickup at said date and time. Do not be fooled. The slip of paper you now grasp is not meant to indicate that your clothes will be ready at that date, at that time. No. The talisman that has rattled its way out of the lady's ancient dot matrix is in fact an invitation, a ticket to a new plane of existence, a topsy-turvy where what you thought you knew of the linear progression of time will turn out to have all along been one grand illusion. Do you not believe me? Are you skeptical? Fine. Just try showing up at the date and time indicated on the piece of paper to pick up your items. The lady will stand there, bemused, behind the counter, shaking her head in your general direction. Where are my clothes? You will ask. Her head will incline skyward to the heavens. Here they are not, she will say. Perhaps they are in the truck. Perhaps they are in Mill Valley. Perhaps we are not meant to know, and perhaps indeed the very act of attempting to know will collapse somewhere some quantum wave function and throw our lives into chaos. So please stop. Enough with this impertinent and dangerous talk. But is there someone you could call? You will try, gamely, because you have not yet fully grokked that within the confines of Vogue Cleaners, such questions are as malformed as asking what's south of Antarctica. The lady will shake her head wistfully. Within her she contains multitudes, and for you she feels not contempt, just endless sadness at your childish belief that the time and the date on the piece of paper she gave you some days ago actually had something to with your clothes. When should I return? You ask, again, foolishly trying to reduce the magic realism of the moment to your humdrum life, which is constrained by such unmanipulables as school pickup times and work calls and lunches with colleagues whose dry cleaners appear to actually deliver clean clothes to them from time to time. But the lady does not exist in your life, in anything like your humdrum. She smiles a hard-earned century of wisdom and says, perhaps tomorrow. So tomorrow you return, and the day after that, and the day after that. The clothes are not there. Are they anywhere? What are clothes, anyway? What is time, what is space, what could it all possibly mean, and really, what is the relevance of sartorial cleanliness in an utterly irrelevant world? The lady knows, just as she knows you will never understand. So she smiles her forlorn smile once again, appraises you standing there in your shabby getup, and says, as you have come by now to know she always will, tomorrow? read more

It saddens me to see some fellow customers not being happy with this company. Vogue Cleaners is my favorite cleaner since I moved to Tiburon more than 10 years ago. My favourite person there is Linda. She has always been friendly, competent professional and helpful. As long as Linda is heading the front desk I would not have any reason to even consider another cleaner - she is the the heart and the soul of this company and I can't thank her enough for her friendly and efficient service. I just started to use their service . The turnover is one week. This is just a storefront (their plant is somewhere else) it feels like a waiting room, very well organized and clean but no soul to the place. The service was courteous and polite but felt cold. This is one of the few dry cleaners in Tiburon. The woman working behind the desk is so rude! Every interaction with her just so unpleasant. But I tried to ignore it. Just recently, I came by with some clothes for dry cleaning. I had used them a few times in the past and brought back their wire hangers for recycling and she screeched at me and said they aren't theirs. Most dry cleaners would be glad to recycle wire hangers and care about this environment but not this lady. She could have politely declined but instead she yelled at me. My first and last time dropping off clothes here. When I originally dropped off my clothes, they said they would honor a 20% discount for first timers. When I received my bill, which was extremely high for basic garments, the woman in the front was so rude and said they will not honor the discount. Not only that, she was extremely rude and mean to me. I have never never experienced such bad customer service before. I rather drive my laundry outside Tiburon to avoid going there again. read more

Tried this cleaner about 4 times now and they've already made 3 mistakes - promised ready time for hemming which they missed twice (so I had to go by to see if they were ready) - they ask me for my credit card only to be reminded they already have it in their system (it's like the dark ages compared to other businesses who are using IT - they promised delivery then (1) didn't deliver (I live 5 min away) so I had to pickup (2) then was told I have to fill out a form and the "manager would call me" and (3) the manager did not call me They either don't care about their advertised delivery service, they're incompetent as a business (I built 5 vc backed startups but I don't think my bar is that high) or both. Stay away from this place. I left two leather IRO jackets for Vogue and specifically asked if they worked with leather. They said that they did. They lied. The tickets and the lady said that my jackets should be ready on August 13, 2021, several weeks later. I explained that I was going out of the country and needed my jackets prepared by August 23, 2021. My husband went to pick them up and told him that they couldn't find the jackets. We are speaking here about two + 1,000 US dollars leather jackets that my daughter and I bought together and expected to wear for a long time. I spoke with Michael and told him that I wanted the reimbursement or the jackets back without any service done. This gentleman said I had to "speak" with some cleaners in Stockton, 101 miles away from my house, and ask them to find my jacket. I never did any business with a place in Stockton. I went close to my home for convenience as I could have gone to San Francisco, close to work. I never got my jacket back, nor Vogue paid for the garment. I am appalled by their level of responsibility, cynicism, and dishonesty. Besides having lost my jacket, Vogue lied multiple times. I wouldn't trust a piece of kleenex to these people. I moved to this area about a year ago but work in the city so I would drop off my clothes in SF (the prices are much cheaper over there). But eventually by the end of the work day I was just ready to go home. Took my stuff to Vogue Cleaners after a friends told me their service was good. I liked the vibe, it was clean and not like your usual dingy dry cleaner. The woman at the counter was extremely sweet. I dropped off my clothes on Monday and was to pick them up on Thursday. I passed on Thursday around noon when they were supposed to be ready to pick up my stuff but they told me it wasn't going to be ready until the next day (no big deal but good to know for scheduling my time). I came back the next day to pick up my order, the usual stuff, pants, mens shirts, blouses, and a minor repair on the straps of a top. I paid a whopping amount (it was 4X the price in SF) and took my clothes home. When I unbagged my order to put my stuff in the closet, I noticed greasy stains on my blouse with a weird texture and the mens shirts were still quite dirty around the collar. I went back to see what could be done and they said they could redo the shirts at no charge but that the stains on the blouse weren't there before I took them home. I asked for the owner's info, they gave me his name (Michael Rose I believe) and told me he would get in touch shortly. Its been more than a month and a half, never got a response. Took my blouse to a different dry cleaner on Tiburon Blvd and they got the stains out, not to mention the price was 1/3 of theirs!! I understand its Tiburon and not SF but their prices are insanely high for what the quality actually is. Really a big bummer considering how clean and nice the shop looks as well as how nice the counter staff was with me. I feel bad writing this but definitely take your stuff elsewhere for the sake of your wallet. read more

I have been coming here for years for dry cleaning. I recently discovered that they also do alterations and shoe repair, so this has just become a one stop shop. They will pick up and drop off your things, and you can trust that your delicates will be safe in their capable hands. I've been contemplating on writing this review or not. After last night, it was clear that I should make this story known to potential customers. I got married in Oct last year and paid good money for my dress because it's really important to me to keep the dress. After the wedding, I took the dress to Vogue because of the referral from "Wedding Gown Specialist" whose number was sewn into my dress. When I talked to the lady at "Wedding Gown Specialist", she seemed to really know what to do with the dress and warned me if I took it somewhere else people might mistreat it. I had to drive my dress from south bay to mill valley. The store called me the next business day and said they had to raise the price to $417 for cleaning only. When I picked up the dress, the fabric looked like someone rubbed it against sand paper. Countless threads came out and I was horrified. The lady behind the counter was like "oh, that's just how the fabric, it happens". She offered no apologies and acted like it was normal. When I demanded for an explanation, she called Micheal Rose (the owner) and he said he'll look at it the next business day and give me a call. I waited for the phone call that never came, so I called "Wedding Gown Specialist". I told them what happened to my dress without telling them where I took it to and ask them what might have happened. I talked to Sally Conant in Connecticut who is the executive director of the organization, she sounded like the same person who I originally talked to. She confidently told me someone put the dress in the washer instead of dry cleaning. After my consistent follow up calls to Vogue's different stores in the next four days, I finally got a hold of Micheal Rose. I left many messages for him; not sure if he ever got it. He was nice and said they would try to repair the dress. I told him I really didn't see how they could repair it, because the thread came out and they were cut. Michael thinks the crystals rubbed on the fabric when the dress was in the machine. I asked him to let me see the repair work before they do it on the whole dress to save them the extra work that may not be necessary. He said they have to do the whole dress and steam the dress before we can see the full effect. I recently thought about it, the wedding dress store told me not to steam the dress and it had to be dry pressed. As I suspected, the dress could not be restored. Judy Rose contacted me to file an insurance claim, which was another long story. I told Judy the wedding dress store covered up the crystals with fabric to make sure they don't rubbed against the fabric during alteration and took off the crystal appliqué when necessary; how could Vogue not know to do this. Judy got defensive and said I should've told me about this. In my opinion, they should know if they are expert in cleaning wedding dress. I wasn't really looking to blame anyone; I was just still in dis-believe. Everyting was settled after all, I was paid for the cost of the dress (minus the alternation) and I get to keep my dress. Although I was not totally satisfied with the outcome; I was ok with situation since it's been many months and I was ready to move on. Last weekend, I picked up my damaged dress. I called on Friday to find out which location is the dress at and Micheal told me to go the strawberry store. When I got to the store, the dress wasn't there. They tracked down the dress and had someone to drive it over, which took well over 40 minutes and they told me it should've taken 10 minutes. The lady left me waiting and went to the back of store for a long time. I had to go to the back to find her and ask her to call again to check if someone is on the way. I opened the dress yesterday and found many stains in the dress. Up until that point, I wasn't going to write this review, because they paid fair price for my lost and Micheal and Judy Rose were both nice to me. So much for the careful inspection and getting out colorless stains, they didn't even get the colored stains out. My dress was not that dirty to being with. I will never know if: 1. They put my dress in the washer 2. They didn't know the crystal would rub against the fabric 3. Micheal intended to not return my numerous calls 4. The dress is not supposed to be steamed 5. This damage is really common for the fabric of my dress 6. The messing up of the dress location was a single incident 7. There are some stains you just can't get out. 8. Are there other colorless stains that are not treated. Well, you can judge for yourself. But I do know that they have a lot of incompetent people working there. If you take your wedding dress there (not recommended), make sure to inspect it before they box it up. I've given them so many chances but the staff is super unfriendly, & they only seem to be able to take cash payment even though they take your card and type all the numbers into their system and then claim that the card doesn't work when other cleaners have proper payment systems where everything does work. They never remember who you are even when you're a loyal customer for several years. It's also quite expensive and takes a while to receive your items since they send it out. 2 stars because they actually clean pretty well and are conveniently located but everything else makes it an unpleasant experience to deal with them. If they would just upgrade their payment systems and maybe smile learn about customer relations they can really turn this place around. read more

Overpriced, problems with communication (non english speaking) and very rude if you have a problem or question. As a local person I've been going there for 15 years--until now!! They charge for items not done, overcharge for recently poor quality work and now the management has no idea how to handle customers--nor how to do math--they can't add your bill! All the branches are excellent...I especially like the Tiburon branch...the girls are very knowledgeable, friendly, and give excellent customer service!!!
