Here's the Scoop! My honey and I was in the area mailing a package at the UPS Store and decided to stop here for breakfast. Cute storefront restaurant. Seating inside tight. A lot of take out orders coming through as we waited. We ordered a crepe that was like a western omelette. It came with a side of potatoes. It wasn't really seasoned and tasty bland. Very rude people serving customers and very ignorant and unprofessional. I asked to have my açaí bowl in a cup instead of a plastic glass, she said yes. When the food arrived, the açaí bowl was inside a plastic glass, making it stressful and impossible to eat (all the ingredients falling on my lap and table) When I asked to please have a cup as mentioned, she said that was a "cup". When I said "this is a plastic glass?" She said no that is a cup. Very rude and not helpful at all, just confrontational and unkind. In the past, I've had a good experience with this Crazy Crepe location but as of my last 3 visits, the crepes have been terrible. As you can see by the photos attached, the bananas were brown/rotten, the nutella was dried up, and the edges were flaking off like potato chips. I've been obsessed with this place for years! I was in the neighborhood for a charity event so I knew I had to stop in after and order a bunch of stuff! My sister and I split the special vanilla Creme crepe and it was just like a Cadbury Creme egg! Then my bf and I split the cinnamon roll and another special...the mozzarella stick crepe, which came with a side soup so he got the potato and it was creamy deliciousness! I didn't even know they had soup here! All of the crepes were awesome, light and fluffy and a good size! I don't feel too guilty about eating 'dessert' as a meal when I come here because they're just so good. I also got a strawberry iced tea that was great, it was not too sugary at all. I am not a crepe fanatic by any means, but I've been known to have them on occasion. My friend Steph and I had time for a quick bite before an event so Crazy Crepe fit the bill perfectly. They have made to order crepes with a variety of fresh ingredients. The ones we tried were the Caprese and Thanksgiving ones.. we split them so we both got a taste. I ate the Caprese half first and thought it made nice little appetizer with it's roasted tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. The Thanksgiving won't leave you feeling like you need to take a tryptophan induced nap, but ticks all the right flavor boxes with a combo of turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce. These both came with a fresh side salad. Although it is part of a chain of 4 stores - it is local established and owned so I like that. It's great to have options and I feel that Crazy Crepe is good one - the have sweet ones and savory ones so they are versatile by going both ways. They even have delicious sounding breakfast ones that are served all day. Want to feel even healthier? I saw they make some reasonably priced smoothies here. Recently tried this little cafe and it was shockingly good. I got a gluten free breakfast crepe. There was egg, cheese, and bacon. It was average. I wish the crepe had more crunch too it. The sweetness of the crepe with the savory of the eggs and such didn't pair well in my opinion. The coffee was amazing. The place has such potential if they spiced up their dining area! There is some limited street parking, but also there's a couple spots in the back of the place. They also have a back door entrance so you don't have to walk all the way around after parking. This small "quick bite" style restaurant is cute and nestled in perfectly on Main Street with all the other home grown local businesses. It's a nice place to catch up with a friend, sit down for a small breakfast before work or grab a smoothie to go. The food here is typically good although there are some things that this company could improve to try and get a higher star review from me. The first thing I noticed is the decor. I find it important because it is a first impression! Its what you see when you initially walk in and you look around. It's cute and cozy inside but sort of bland and lacking and style or specific taste. The colorful menu is a nice touch but there not much else to catch the eye. The food here is very tasty and the recipes are a great mix of just the right amount. You can choose something sweet or something more savory. Today I came in and tried something new, soup! I really love me some good soup so when I saw they were serving up some loaded baked potato I hopped right on that. When I tasted it I was extremely disappointed. It actually tasted like boiled flavored water. There was no substance to it, very watery and extremely bland. I understand some people may play the devils advocate and ask "what do you expect from a crepe place?" But on the other hand my point of view is that if you are gonna decide to serve it you better make it quality no matter what it is! I think it's great they are trying to add variety onto the menu but they really need to change this recipe quick! I also got a crepe to go and when I got home to eat it I was also disappointed at what I didn't find :( I've gotten the Nutella crepe in the past and usually they will add some strawberries and whipped cream to it for more of a presentation but when I opened the container there was nothing. Just my plain crepe tossed in there. I wasn't gonna throw a shit fit over it but I was sort of looking forward to that! I wonder if this is what they do for every to go order... The staff however, has always been extremely pleasant. Asking how the food is and they will bring it out to you as well after you sit down. I LOVE Crazy Crepe! Moving from Astoria and not having the delicious food has been the hardest thing. One of my favorite things to eat in the WORLD is a Nutella crepe. Thank goodness I found this spot! I have been twice now and I can't say enough great things about the menu and crepes. My favorite is the s'mores crepe-to DIE for! I also love Nutella with the strawberry or banana. On my most recent visit, I tried the s'mores hot chocolate (I know, I'm a pig) which was also deelish. In the past I have had the strawberry Nutella smoothie which I reserve for the summertime. The staff is young but you won't get that young-kid attitude that you get in places like Chipotle; they are friendly and helpful. The place is small and quaint. This is a great crepe restaurant within the Stony Brook University area. They have the options of sitting in or picking up but I wouldn't recommend picking up food because the crepes get cold and they don't drizzle chocolate or add whipped cream/powdered sugar to the pick up orders. They're nice and warm when you sit down and eat in the restaurant (free parking as well)! Also it wasn't packed the few times I went. The Crazy Crepe with strawberry and banana is their special and it's pretty good! I had a few bites of the s'mores crepe and it was great too but super sweet. The portions are fairly big so come with an empty stomach. The Nutella latte wasn't great because the Nutella was stuck on the bottom but that might just be me (I'm not a big fan of espresso). I had very low expectations going into this place, thinking that it was going to be a fly-by-night type of joint with no real value. I was extremely wrong and glad to say so. My wife and I took our son for dinner and ordered the Thanksgiving Crepes which included roasted turkey (which was fresh), stuffing and cranberry sauce. They were made to order so we had to wait a bit, though not incredibly long. The crepe was delicious and filling and very reasonably priced. My son had a ham and cheese crepe which was too big for him, so I finished it off and loved it. For dessert we had a crepe filled with berries, bananas and Nutella, again delicious and highly recommended. The seating area is very tiny; I think there was 6 seats at most. To start this place is very small, about 7 or 8 tables for two people. The menu board lists maybe 6 savory and 6 sweet crepe options which we thought was all, until looking at the paper menus you can take which list maybe 3 or 4 more additional crepes. I had the Italiano crepe and my fiancé had the thanksgiving crepe. Mine had: raw spinach (I thought it would be cooked), cheese that was not melted and bizarre tasting pesto sauce. You have the option to get grilled chicken and vegetables inside which I got both. The chicken was good but the vegetables were pretty much uncooked. I said no tomatoes but they were in there!! I can't go into detail about the Thanksgiving crepe but my fiancé did not like it. We got two sides of the loaded potato soup which had a very weird consistency [gritty] and not much flavor. Oh, and the toasted marshmallow latte tasted like regular joe. The sweet berry crepe was good though! What I'm trying to say is, don't get the savory crepes here. read more

Not only did Kevin work with us to choose the proper package, he took multiple calls and answered all of our questions in a professional and understanding manner.
