The service was excellent. We were a group of 8 and they quickly brought our food and got all the orders correct and each check to the correct person. They were friendly and accommodating in every way. The bathroom was big and clean. I only had the fried shrimp and fried calamari and fried oysters and onion rings so I cannot address the other food but mine was the worst I haven't had anywhere and I have eaten around 3 quarters of the world. The breading on everything was so thick and tasteless I had to peal it off and discard it because the only taste it had was the grease in which it had been fried. I searched carefully for the oysters which were so buried in the breading I could scarcely tell they were under it. The calamari was so tough I could scarcely chew it after pealing the horrible breading off. The shrimp was so dry and hidden under the thick tasteless breading that I was relieved that they only gave me 6. The menu just showed the calamari, the oysters, and the shrimp. No sides were mentioned. Since I did not want sides I was relieved not to have to pay for something I did not want. When the waitress asked me if I wanted French fries or fried onions rings I immediately thought about the potatoes being worse for me than the onion rings even though I am allergic to both. When the bill came they had charged me for the sides that I never intended to eat. Everything I put in my mouth was the very worse I have ever had. It was very expensive for very small portions. To whom this may concern. We went to Volcano Crab for dinner on Wednesday evening . The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fun and happy. But the service was amazing . The Manager Jamaul {seated us because the Hostess was helping another family } was all smiles and even took the time to ask our grandson how he was doing and if he wanted to color. The Bus Boy {what a horrible name for this job} was cleaning a table near us and our grand son spilled his drink . Charles was his name he was so fast in helping us clean up and then checked back in on our grandson a little later in the night. But our server Kayla was amazing , she never let our drinks get down to have full before she was back filling them up, she checked on us often and when we were finished our meal she had our dirty dishes cleaned up and off the table. This was my first time at Volcano Crab and I had a pretty good experience. We were seated immediately and there wasn't a lot of people crowding inside the restaurant which I liked. I ordered the hushpuppies as an appetizer and the whiting basket with regular fries as my entree. Along with the whiting basket, I wanted to order a side of shrimp. The server informed us that they offer combos with both whiting and shrimp, however you only get one piece of whiting with the combo versus the two pieces you get in the basket. I was kind of disappointed with this option so my boyfriend and I had to order a shrimp basket along with our whiting baskets just so we could have 2 two pieces of fish and shrimp on the side. The shrimp basket came with 8 shrimp for us to split. When we got our food, everything was nice and hot. I really enjoy hot seafood fresh out of the grease! My favorite was the hushpuppies that came with a sweet butter! Tasted like a cinnamon/sugar mix. So good I would come back for just those! read more

I called the manager and explained the situation that I was on my way to work and couldn't turn around. She told me to bring the food back and was defensive in my telling her the food was fried to hard. I went back again today at lunch and got the Oyster and fries, hard as all outdoors! The Oysters were all burned on the ends. I won't be going back, twice to get disgusting food at the same place is enough for me. Went in the middle of the day on a Saturday. Sat right away. Everything seemed new and clean. Waitress was attentive and polite. She made suggestions on the seasoning levels. Food came out quickly and was hot. My daughter got a full basket of popcorn shrimp. A few minutes after we started eating, the waitress brought out another half basket of shrimp, saying the cook had made extra. It was too much food but a nice gesture. Everything was very good. My husband and I went here for first time tonight. The person that sat us didn't say a word to us. The lights kept flickering on and off the whole time we were there and the giant crab above us was flickering so much it gave us a headache. The server didn't say more than 5 words to us. My husband ordered a fish basket and the fish was not fully cooked. My oysters were disgusting! You could taste that they were frozen and way over battered.
