Stay away. I bought my car there and took it in to have the alarm fixed. It would go off at random time, including the middle of the night. They didn't fix it. I also paid $25 to have the key fob batteries replaced. They only fixed one but charged me for two. My alarm continued to be a problem until I pulled the fuse for the horn. They also charge twice as much as JiffyLube and didn't check the fluid levels in the car.These guys can't be trusted. read more

(use to leave in Thousand oaks and bought 4 cars from this place in the past. Never had a problem before. Very bad communication from the sales person named Latham. I was pre-approved by my Credit union with all the paperwork in hands, I picked the car I want, we agreed on the price, and still it field like they don't want to sell the car(((. I had to chase them around LOL. Finally after talking the the sales manager I was able to finalize the deal. When I flew to LA and came to pick up the car, the car had a huge scratch on the hood that no one bother to tell me about. They simply told me what do you expect from the used car? Communication would be nice I said. Anyway it was a good deal and I liked the car. But i will never come back to Mazda of Thousand Oaks to buy another car. read more

Buying a car from Neftin Mazda has to be the best experience I have had in my long history of buying cars. Cynthia Votava is amazing at her job. She truly cares about her customer's experience and satisfaction. I knew exactly what I wanted and she made it happen. We thoroughly went through the whole buying/finance process without pressure or the ugly sales pitches. The little personal touches added to the experience. I bought a used car based off their website listing. You could only tell this car was used apart from the new cars for sale based on the odometer reading. This dealership does not sell junk. They sell high quality, Mazda certified vehicles. The car was even prepped for me to test drive prior to showing up! Washed, cooled down (it was a 100 degree day) and it even had a personalized, reserved sign for my test drive! Mark K in finance was fantastic to work with. No hard sales or pressure, just a lot of care, facts and great advice. As part of the buying experience, I met the cashier, service and parts staff. Everyone was so friendly, professional and happy. I called and questioned the charge and the service person said that he would get back to me with a resolution- needless to say no response. Our 5 star review went down to a 1 star Our salesman Matt not only talked down to us but chuckled and snarled when I said something about the TV being so loud blaring Fox News and Trump. I've been coming to Neftin Mazda for the last 4 or so years to have my vehicle serviced. My experience has always been without issue and I'm very fortunate that my vehicle has been low maintenance and has only needed it's scheduled oil changes, tire rotations and occasional brake replacements. Your best bet is to call ahead and set an appointment with one of their service advisors. This allows for you to minimize your wait time as a stop in customer and gets gets you through registration and on your way quicker. Their earliest appointment is at 730 am which is right when they open. You simply pull into their service area and an advisor will come out to greet you. They will document your license plate, take down your mileage and fond out what needs servicing. They will then walk you into their office to make sure there are no outstanding recalls on your vehicle and advise if any milestone services are recommended (i.e 60,000 mile service). They will set an expected pick up time, make sure your contact info is correct and provide an estimate of the costs of service for what you are wanting done. They do provide a courtesy shuttle if you need a ride home or to work, I've always made prior arrangements to have a ride ahead of time, but it's nice that they have this available. During your service, they will inspect your vehicle and give you a call if anything is brought to their attention by the service mechanic. You can obviously decline or accept if it's something you can afford at the moment. On my last visit (February 2018), they had a new technology feature where the mechanic is wearing a camera while he inspects your vehicle so you can see for yourself what the mechanic sees. Definitely the way of the future for the car service industry that gives you a little more assurance that your vehicle is properly being assessed. A complimentary exterior car wash is completed when your vehicle is serviced. It's always nice coming back to a clean car upon pick up. Make sure to check your mail from Mazda as you will often get coupons for various servicing needs. If not, go to Neftin's webpage and they will usually have coupons that you can print out or show via your smart phone to save a little cash. read more

If you are considering your business with Neftin, I have a recent experience and my recommendation to share. Last week (9/28), I had a one-of-those-days bad experience with their service department (a coupon being canceled). I was totally bummed, and like any unsatisfied customer today would do, I went on the internet and social media to vent my frustration and get my sanity back. I then moved on with my life. Two days later, I was surprised by a phone call from Mazda. I was not interested in getting an apology from them, and I told the manager on the phone that I didn't want anything from them any more. I repeated my concerns and then just wanted to hang up on him. To my surprise, he did listen carefully to my perspectives and then made a reasonable offer that would not just redeem my experience with them but also restore my confidence in people's integrity in this industry. He said, "as a manager, I can do some magic." After the phone call, I went back to the shop right away and I received a service that went beyond my expectation in every small detail. I was impressed but I would be fooled if I didn't know they were just trying to damage-controlled a PR failure. And I am not so sure if the guy is a real "manager" (yet) that can call the shots on the spot; but I am convinced that while they have staff who know how to do the right things for the company's benefits, there are still people like him that can do the things right for both the company and their customers. When you do your business with them, I recommend you speak your mind and voice your concerns because they do listen and pay attention. I was actually recommended to this dealership by my colleague who bought his 2021 CX-5 there to have a check-up and oil change for my new-to-me 2014 Mazda 5. And Yes. OMG!!!! What an amazing, incredible, wonderful time I had. It's not easy to say that when you need to get your car done. But the customer service is really top notch. definitely avoid "Cynthia " in the Leasing department. 3 years ago they were suppose to eat my mileage overage as part of getting my third Mazda from the dealership and i ended up getting a bill from them. Had to really fight to get them to straighten it out. They finally blackmailed me and said if i gave them a good yelp review they'd take care of it. I had no choice at the time but now my lease is almost up and I contacted Cynthia again to see what options I had. Had a positive overall experience getting a CX5 last week. We went to another brands dealership the day prior, just sleazy sales that made me not want to buy. Sasha was great at listening to our needs, showing us multiple versions, colors, options. We were trying to decide 2020 v 2021 so we needed a moment and she was totally fine with it and allowing us to think for a sec while other sales reps in times past make you feel rushed. My only drawback, and this is for ownership, you need to put $$ into updating and upgrading your facility. Wow, you won't get better than Jake and Alex in the service department. They are extremely honest and will bend over backwards to make a customer happy, even if you did not buy the car from them. You will not get more personable and trustworthy service from any other dealer. I have been back and forth to the service department for a multitude of reasons which was no fault of the service department. I would think that by now, Jake and Alex would be tired of me. Everytime I stop by but one but both of them always come out to greet me and are genuinely concerned with getting even the smallest issues resolved for me, and they do it with such kindness. You just want to hug them both. I also need to rave about Cynthia in sales. She is amazing and truly cares about her customers. I did not even buy my car from Neftin and she went out out of her way to teach me about every detail of my car. Galpin Mazda let me walk off the lot without any help in setting the car up or any knowledge about the many bells and whistles my new CX-30 has. She checked the car over completely for me and realized that my tires were not balanced and of course had Alex balance the tires for me. Well, went to another shop to get my car looked at. I was told by the Mazda dealer that both my front and back brake pad and rotors needed to be replaced, which was not true. Only the front ones needed to be changed. I was also told that my drive belt and tensioner needed to be replaced (which I was told by many people was very odd considering I'm at 42k miles and my car is from 2016). The new mechanic inspected it, found no issues with it, and let me know I'm good for another 15k miles. Even worse is the SEVERE overcharging. I do not know much about the cost of car work, but i was lucky enough to ask a friend if $547 for a new front set of rotors and brake pads and $545 for new back brakes and rotors sounded right. The look on his face said it all. Not only did I not even need a set replaced yet, but I was able to get the fronts replaced elsewhere for $210 less. WTF?! My original statement about Jakes customer service stands. Dude's just doing his job. But wow will I never go back and tell everyone I know to avoid going. read more
