The observant young counter lady seized the moment and slipped the medium plastic cup into a larger one that permitted the top to snap on the rim without damage to custard sitting on top. A bit of practical intelligence there. Yes. I loved the combo of peach cobbler and vanilla creamy custard. It was very satisfying, without being unduly sweet. The textures were engaging and a full partner to the tastes. Given the people sitting/standing around outside with cones and cups in hand, Newtown Ice House should be a smashing success.
