With a new roof being installed, we need an electrician to wire in two attic roof fans with very little notice. I called Volt in Anaheim and worked with Ben. I sent him a photo of what we needed done and when. Ben provided a quick estimate and scheduled us between his other appointments 3 times! He was very professional every time I needed to let him know roofers had delayed the work by 1 day or even time of day. Ben let me know when to expect him and when he was 30 minutes from arrival. He worked with the roofers and ensured the thermostat was set to the proper temperature. I called Volt around 6am on a Friday in desperate need of someone to figure out what was going on with my wall outlets which had died late the previous night. Before 8am I had a call back to let me know that they could probably make it around noon. They offered to text or call when they knew more and I just loved that they offered that option. It's helpful when your work has you on phones and in meetings. Got the text around 9:30 that Austin could be at my home in 40 minutes - even better than noon! When Austin arrived I immediately felt comfortable welcoming him into my home. The first time they came out was to add a new outlet and troubleshoot some problems we were having with other existing outlets. **UPDATE** Ben reached out and "wanted to make things right" and sent out someone to repair the stucco on our wall. And although I appreciate the gesture, I wish the sentiment was there from the beginning (as there were just so many things wrong with this entire transaction, and not stemmed from a bad review) and I wish there was nothing wrong to begin with for him to make right. But I did want to update the fact that they did come out and fix the stucco wall which we appreciate. I used Volt Tech Electric for my electrical inspection for my first home buying experiencing. As expected, I was charged an inspection fee for them to come out and do an expert electrical inspection for safety and code violations and do an ACCURATE quote for the repairs necessary. I used this quote in order to submit to my sellers for credit in order to make sure all the electrical repairs get completed before buying the home. Unfortunately, they were not able to credit me for the full quote, instead of trying to find another electrical contractors to see if I can get the repairs done at a less expensive price I discussed the issue with Ben and Ben was KIND enough to mildly reduce the quoted price and we scheduled an appointment to do everything on his quoted list including the electrical repair. Now comes the frustration. Once Ben was out to do the actual repair he informed us that he had to charge us MORE in order to get everything fixed because the electrical panel is more extensive and he then quoted us for MORE than the ORIGINAL quote he had given us. So not only are we not saving money, but what was the point of paying for the original inspection fee in order to get an ACCURATE quote. However, I tried to understand the fact that sometimes you do not get a good picture of how much work needs to be done until you fully open everything up. Sure. I agreed for them to continue to do the work at the now raised price. HOWEVER, I did not know that I am expected to pay additional money after the job is done because now I have to hire additional people in order to fix the stucco and exterior wall because of the electrical panel placement. They created GAPING holes around the electrical panel. Which was never communicated to me that that would happen and that I should be expecting to pay HUNDREDS more. Maybe I don't understand this business or how it is suppose to work but I am baffled. 1) I paid for an inspection fee to get an INACURRATE QUOTE that made me LOSE money because I submitted an INACCURATE quote list to my seller 2) Although he agreed to lower the original quote, he did not honor the discount and I am hit with a SURPRISE RAISE in price MORE than the original once we scheduled them for repair/job and then 3) they created unexplained damage to the property and expect us to fix it I genuinely want to give this place 1 star for just an awful first time experience At the end of the day even though the repairs were done there is now a GAPING ugly hole wall in my first home I just bought and now have to bleed more money to get fixed. read more

I went to finish the last of two bathroom light fixture replacements last Sunday and the second turned into a nightmare because I wasn't happy with the offset from the crooked wall. On Thursday my daughter and I spent most of the day destroying the electrical box to replace. Just a nightmare with nuts on the back of bolts you don't have access to. Well to cut this short, I did my yelp request and asked for help that day. Ben responded and made his way out to my my mom's house by 3. He was on time. I had only planned for him to install two GFIs as my daughter and I worked on the nightmare. He took a look at it and said it wasn't going to happen and quickly fixed that too. He also correctly wired the GFI in that bathroom so now it's legit. My daughter was bummed she couldn't finish the job, but I was in peace throwing money at it and crossing it off my list.
