Unfortunately, my experience with this company was nothing like the positive reviews I had read. From the beginning, I had to wait a very long time just to receive an invoice. When I finally got it, the price was much higher than I expected. At the time, I thought maybe I was paying a premium for better quality, professional work, and good customer service. Unfortunately, that was not the case. After some time, my system stopped working and the issue turned out to be the compressor. That's when the real frustration started. The company took a very long time to resolve the problem. They were unable to promptly replace the system under warranty or even replace the failed compressor in a reasonable amount of time. Eventually, I got tired of waiting and contacted another company. They responded quickly, diagnosed the situation, and took care of everything within ONE WEEK. Based on my experience, it seems like this company does not have enough expertise with some of the services and equipment they offer. What disappointed me the most was the lack of support when something actually went wrong and warranty service was needed. I would not recommend this company if you don't want to spend your time and energy chasing them just to get a problem resolved. For the amount of money I paid, I expected a completely different level of service, professionalism, and support. UPDATE -- RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Guys, are you serious? You replaced my entire HVAC system and provided me with a warranty. The system failed before the warranty period even expired, and now you're simply refusing to take responsibility because you supposedly "no longer provide HVAC services." Yet HVAC is still listed in your business name here on Yelp. How does saying that you no longer provide HVAC services cancel the warranty you already gave me? The fact that you decided to stop offering HVAC services does not change the fact that your company installed my system, provided a warranty, and the equipment failed while still under warranty. I paid your company for the installation and expected you to stand behind your work. Simply saying that you no longer do HVAC and walking away from an existing warranty obligation is completely unacceptable. read more

My situation: Friday night the outlets on one interior wall stopped working so I tried to reset all of my GFCI outlets. One of them made a buzzing sound and then started smoking. This meant that something inside was arcing and could cause a house fire. I immediately turned off most of the power at the electric panel and came to Yelp to submit an emergency project for electricians. One other business and Voltyx both replied that they could come Saturday morning. I engaged the other company first so I let Voltyx know that I wouldn't be going with them. Saturday morning, the other company tells me 15 minutes before I'm expecting them that they aren't coming after all. I contact Voltyx and asked them if they can still come over and Oleg and his apprentice made it to my house in 90 minutes! They replaced two failing outdoor GFCI outlets and then diagnosed the problem with my interior outlet - a melted wire nut that indicated that I had been at risk for a house fire! They replaced the outlet and the wiring. Since they were there, I also asked them to change a single recessed outlet behind a TV to a four outlets. They went to Home Depot and promptly returned with the right parts and made very precise cuts in the drywall to install the new outlets. They were courteous and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Pricing was also very reasonable, considering the emergency weekend call. I will definitely recommend Voltyx to all of my friends and family and call them for any future electrical needs. read more

I scheduled a visit since three of my outlets were out. The technician came late by an hour and a half, but he managed to find the issue and fixed it in less than an hour. It was loose wiring behind the light switch. Please note troubleshooting is $50 and labor is $150/hour. I was not made aware of the labor rate. I ended up paying the technician $150 via zelle, which was cheaper than a handyman quoting me $295 flat fee. The service was affordable. I just wished the technician was punctual and the labor rate was discussed before the appointment. Other than that, my issue was fixed, the technician was professional, so I'm happy. I spoke with the technician who read my first review and acknowledged my inconveniences. He offered me compensation and 10% off on the next service. I hired Voltyx Services to provide an estimate for a few small electrical projects (switch replacement and installing an LED bathroom mirror). They scheduled a technician to come on Saturday, spent almost an hour on site, and charged me a $50 service/assessment fee -- which I fully expected as long as I received a proper estimate afterwards. However, after the visit, there was zero follow-up. No estimate, no message, no update -- nothing. During the appointment, the technician verbally mentioned around $240 per light, but since I had quotes from other companies, I asked for a written estimate so I could compare properly. He told me he would calculate everything once he returned to the office and send the quote. I even reminded them clearly that the other company offered much lower pricing, and they were welcome to provide their best reasonable estimate. But after that day, the communication simply ended. For a company that charges a service-call fee, the minimum professional courtesy is to: 1. Provide the estimate you promised 2. Let the customer know if you cannot match the price 3. Or at least update the customer instead of leaving them waiting None of these happened. When I purchased my home, my one big annoyance was that the previous homeowner got rid of the doorbell and patched over where I expected it to be.
